Yea good luck you would need over 2 billion caps and more than likely the app will just crash not actually make the game think you have won billions of caps
As Ian mentioned, it'd be an integer overflow, but I liked the idea, so I looked into it. If the max bet is 75, and Paul's right about it taking 5 seconds per bet, then it'd take about 4.5 years to lose enough for it to wrap around ... ... if it's an int32. However, it seems that like many other scripting languages, Fallout NV's scripts actually store "ints" as floating point numbers. Not sure if they're single or double, but it doesn't really matter; either way, the min and max values are massive. But it wouldn't even reach those limits, since once you get up into the big exponents, the gap between each representable number gets bigger than the 75 that we're subtracting; eventually (x - 75) == x, so the number stops decreasing before it even reaches that limit. Anyway, really liked the idea. If they'd implemented their scripting language slightly differently and used true ints, I reckon it would've worked.

Here’s a suggestion that is probably way too much work: Get your hands on a blackjack playing AI. A good one. Then use the game state from New Vegas as inputs and let the blackjack AI tell you the correct course of action.
I wonder, would that work? The game stacks the deck against you with low luck, so the risks associated with playing are not the same. However, I don't know if the next card is generated when you make your choice, or if it is predetermined - that would make a difference, too
a blackjack computer wouldn't work, and here's why: The game uses an algo weighing your luck against a seperate ratio for min and max luck, then it determines the card, at that specific moment. outside of legit RNG manip through an invasive Hex editor, you ain't got a chance.
I was actually experimenting with just winning fairly at black in five myself with a luck of 1, I managed to complete gammora in 3 hours, not very timely but doable. Will update if I get it
"If you've got a four, a queen and an ace, obviously you're gonna hit again." Actually, you should only do that if the dealer has a seven or higher. There's a statistically "correct" strategy that says that much.
here is a strategy that while time consuming will eventually work. Set aside 3000 chips only and go to a roulette table. Save before starting and the max amount on a single space on the board. While the chances are especially low if you keep betting on any one space that is not 0 (that one is bugged) you will eventually win and capping your funds at 3000 means you will be able to make enough to get you kicked out but likely you can put in more caps for more attempts as resetting each time you lose can be tedious especially with the 60 second wait time that is usually filled with the bodies of casino patrons. Either way this is something I have done with a character at 1 luck even though it took me like 4 hours and is a mindless way to get enough money for you to get kicked out of any casino at any luck rating as all you need to do is win once and you are done.
Yeah I did this with my low-luck first character just to get the achievements. It's completely doable, just put on some Netflix or something. To make slower but steady progress I split the max bet across 2 or 4 numbers, and to minimize the time sunk by save scumming I would continue to bet until the amount I lost surpassed the amount I would win from a single play, and then reloaded to my last win.
I respect the honesty, you didn't mod the game or make some dumb loophole to completely circumvent the point, you just said "No, you can't get kicked out with 1 luck"
Theoretically, you could wear Lucky Shades, Naughty Nightwear and have the effects of the Early Bird trait and the Meat of Champions perk active (giving you a total of 6 in luck). Before you're kicked out from the casino, make sure to unequip and have the effects wear off before the dudes initiate the dialogue to kick you out, resulting in you having +1 luck when it happens. It's not that hard, but it's not a good speedrun strat. It's how I played the game. You miss out on a lot of quests and can't use power armor, but you can get really good weapons early. Focus on melee and stealth and use NCR salvaged armor as soon as you can get it. You'll need just enough range skill to get through the Bison Steve fight, and explosives if you want to fight any of the animal bosses. Wipe out McCarren to get to the strip. IIRC, you can kill everything in the game except Yes Man. You just need to be high enough level to survive the big fights.
actually you can, it just takes an incredible amount of time and an incredible amount of saves and reloads (Don't quicksave/reload, but close down the game and restart it as that is faster.)
You should have done it in the Omerta Casino, you need to reach a smaller amount of money to get kicked (supposing that you wanted to do it strictly in one of this three casinos), but you could also have done it in the casino where is a roller coaster, or one at Freeside.
Exantius E I did it. I break the bank of a casino. The Atomic Wrangler to be more specific. You can see the photos if you go to Mitten Squad's Twitter and go to this video post's replies.
@@mjc0961 I know and I did it. In my opinion, the fastest way to get kicked of a casino is to do a quick save, bet 400 caps and if you fail, do a quick load, if you don't fail, do another save quick. Is the fastest way for me, from what I played.
At 5 (6?) LK, the casino games operate more or less as standard, i.e. they are not in your favor. Higher than 5 starts to tilt them in your favor, but below 5 digs you into an even deeper hole, probability-wise.
this just showed up in my recommended i have never played or been interested in a fallout game before but i gotta say this video was pretty cool nice work!
you actually CAN abuse quick saves to cheat the system. If you're not trying to do this challenge and are playing casually, with higher luck you can win a lot of chips. After you win any chips, get out of Blackjack (or any other game), quicksave and play it again. The game won't stop you, since the cooldown it's only triggered when you try to quickload, so just quickload if you are losing a lot of chips in Blackjack. AND VOILA, you'll still have the same amount of chips when you quicksaved. So yeah, the cooldown it is actually useless, since you still can cheat the system, the only difference is that you'll have to wait 1 minute. Which turns this challenge possible but extremely annoying and exausting

After hearing about what this guy isgoing through i really wanna take the time to say I sincerely hope he pulls through and gets help or succeeds on his own, good to see his videos popping up again, I hope more people discover him.
RIP
I always play the black jack. Never knew about the slot thing but the black jack is cool when you want some down time/rp while playing
“Can you beat fallout new Vegas by killing everything” would be a good one.
Also good job on the double upload today
Many A True Nerd does a full kill everything run, I don’t remember if he beat the game though
I did this before, it's not hard and the only problem is stims. Well until you get the "thems good eatins" perk and just eat blood sausages.
@@Markworth You can't kill Muggy or the Vendertron either.
@@BradTheAmerican Never played any DLC, but how could I forget the occupant of my favorite trashcan, Vendortron?! D'oh!
actually you can, it just takes an incredible amount of time and an incredible amount of saves and reloads (Don't quicksave/reload, but close down the game and restart it as that is faster.)
You should have done it in the Omerta Casino, you need to reach a smaller amount of money to get kicked (supposing that you wanted to do it strictly in one of this three casinos), but you could also have done it in the casino where is a roller coaster, or one at Freeside.
Didn't make much of difference since he was unable to get above zero, let alone in the thiusands required to break the bank on any casino
Exantius E I did it. I break the bank of a casino. The Atomic Wrangler to be more specific.
You can see the photos if you go to Mitten Squad's Twitter and go to this video post's replies.
Doesn't matter. He was always at a loss of money. You have to earn money for the lower cap to get kicked out to even matter.
@@mjc0961 I know and I did it.
In my opinion, the fastest way to get kicked of a casino is to do a quick save, bet 400 caps and if you fail, do a quick load, if you don't fail, do another save quick.
Is the fastest way for me, from what I played.
@@jesalt8230 So save scumming to the max?
Good job..
At 5 (6?) LK, the casino games operate more or less as standard, i.e. they are not in your favor. Higher than 5 starts to tilt them in your favor, but below 5 digs you into an even deeper hole, probability-wise.
God, watching this hits different now😢

Playback in super slow-mo, he won 2250 once. Liar.
How did you even notice something like that
When he describes the ranges of how skills are rated, in every game 1-absolute garage, 2-3 bad 4-6 ave 7-8 good, 9-10 amazing.
and fallout 4 17 due to drugs and clothing and alcohol I AM A GOD
Can you beat fallout new vegas/3 without stopping walking forward?
no because doc mitchel requires you to sit on the couch and during dialogue you stop walking
If you mean only using auto run probably
this just showed up in my recommended i have never played or been interested in a fallout game before but i gotta say this video was pretty cool nice work!
4:28 the game got itself kicked out of itself. It truly was rigged from the start 🤭
That would actually be interesting
I left a like because I learned you had unique dialogue with no weapons.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with only the father's razor as a weapon
what the fuck is the fathers razor
you actually CAN abuse quick saves to cheat the system.
You got an achievement at the 3:11 timestamp. Isn't it great that after having played the game so many times, you still have achievements to unlock?
I guarantee almost all of us still have to unlock those Caravan achievements.
@@surprisedchar2458 caravan is actually really easy
Andrew Bowen if you’re an insane person, maybe.
@@surprisedchar2458 that makes no sense, you get a rule book at the beginning of the game. If you haven't read it out of laziness or spite, I'm not the insane one
@@surprisedchar2458 i have both caravan achievements but have yet to get the stimpak and food healing ones
Much like Mitten Squad, Mitten Prime can do pretty much every stupid idea in a Fallout game.
Paullllll 😭😭😭🙏
From what I understand roulette should be pretty straight regardless of luck, it's actually just roulette no hidden math like BJ and slots, so you're just trying to beat the house. But as we all know the House always wins
this is a challenge? i just scum saved. it took days for every casino, but i did it. for every playthrough.
You probably need to have 10 luck irl to get kicked out with 1 luck
In this game luck is much more important than the other games, just like how in 76 charisma wasn’t that important for solo players until Wastlanders, though admittedly you did need to have enough charisma for the lone wanderer and bargain perks regardless
I just love playing blackjack so I hit the tables every game, regardless of my luck level lol A weird thing I’ve noticed is If you win a hand, back down your bet afterwards to 1 because about most of the time, you’re gonna lose the next few hands. Then bump it back up. If you go back and forth like that for long enough, you can definitely get a few thousand. I’ve never tried to get kicked out that way but I feel as if it could work.
1:23 Neither did I. Guess another great thing about New Vegas. Obsidian really paid attention to detail
This is the question that I didn't know needed answering until now.
help me god
Gambling with 1 luck in Fallout New Vegas is the equivalent of gambling in real life. Real life gambling in casinos EVERYONE has 1 luck
Can you beat New Vegas without starting a conversation? People can start talking to you but not vise versa.
No. You have to initiate conversation with Yes Man after going to the Eldorado substation. There might be other instances where you need to, but I know for a fact that he won't trigger conversation after that part. And the other sides have a lot of mandatory conservations, Yes Man has the fewest
@@exantiuse497 I assumed you had to talk to someone at some point. Don't tell Mitten Squad.
@@exantiuse497 also to even start yes man as you need to talk with him on first meeting him and turning n quests with him
There's also a setting in the StewieTweaks mod that lets you automate gambling just by holding the W key down.
Should've bet on red or black in Roulette.
He's not a little bitch
@@jesusparada3500 : Wow, okay asshole.
I'm repeating what he says in the video but in a similar context
@@jesusparada3500: Oh. Alright.
If you freeze frame at 6:13, during which he is saying he never won over 375 chips at the slot machines, you can see he won 2250 chips at least once.

Maybe
I like that your name is still tea boy
hi i'm banned
I know it sucks sorry :/
I did the opposite with luck at 10 cleaned out all the casino's, I won 34,000 caps at lv.5. Fallout New Vegas is still fun. thanks for the video
