The Watcher quest, wasn't it just a breadcrumb? Usually quests you got upon entering a new area led to a handful more quests, but occasionally they were just to move you in a direction so you could discover things/NPCs or just open up the map. I also remember quests where you found an object out in the middle of nowhere and had to take it back to an NPC somewhere you'd already been. You never knew if it was going to be important, or give you a random item. It was an adventure. Now the campaign literally leads you around a set path for your first character.

      @l337pwnage 4 месяца назад

Ya, I think it was to send you to that other guy, then he would, presumably, have a quest to take you to Lakeshire, but I imagine they just took it out because they wanted you to be in Duskwood last and figured very few people would go down that road before they had already been to both Sentinel Hill and Lakeshire.
Those zones are so close it would be easy to wander into them "out of order" and I imagine that was a quest just put there to kinda get you "back on track", but I'm sure they figured it was just overkill and not needed.

Reminds me of NPCs in Star Wars the Old Republic where on the first couple planets you quest at there are a few NPCs that will say a line of dialogue if you click on them, but no mission is available. Thats because they were a part of missions that were cut before the games release (unlike "exploratory missions" which were normal side missions that were demoted to optional missions that can be hidden if you choose) but the NPCs themselves were kept in the game. For the longest time I thought I was missing something lol

When the achievement system kicked in, i got awarded Loremaster right away, having done pretty much every single quest in both Kalimdo and EK.
But that aside, i have another forgotten quest for you, one that noone has completed in 17 or 18 years. A quest, which is still in my quest log, but i can't turn it in even tho is complete, due to the fact they removed the npc that both gives, and turns in the quest a few months after have been introduced.
The quest in question is Zinfizzlex's Portable Shredder Unit. Zinfizzlex is an NPC that existed in AV at launch in patch 1.5, but was removed in patch 1.10, before vanilla even ended. And i've had this quest in my log ever since.
Now, i think he got re-added in Classic even tho Classic is suppoused to be based of patch 1.12, but i'm not sure because i don't play Classic. Nevertheless, in retail, i doubt many people still have this quest in their log, in fact, not many even attempted to complete it because it was sorta expensive back then, since it asks for a lots of materials.

    • @TurbotarzanWoW

From what I’ve seen, the quests weren’t readded to AV in classic - the npc quest was added again later in retail as kind of a throwback event, with a new version of the quest for the shredder.

I haven't played in ages though, not sure if it's like that anymore. From launch until MoP ruined it for me. Played out MoP because I already had it, but that was it. I know AV was a lot faster and people didn't do those quests anymore by time I quit.

There were two forgotten quests in TBC that were removed in patch 2.4.0, with one of them only being available for a week.
The first quest was Losing Gracefully, in ShattrathCity. This quest has been available since expansion launch, and the problem was that this quest has a funny completion scene with the characters that were in that part of the city. With Patch 2.4.0 all those characters were removed to make space for Shattered Sun Offensive NPCs, and the quest was removed too. There is a video on RUclips with this scene.
The second quests were on When I Grow Up..., a quest only available during the Children Week for the Horde, requiring to take the blood elf child to visit the Naaru in Silvermoon City. With the removal of the Naaru on patch 2.4.0 the quest was removed and replaced for the one that there is still in the game today. It is so rare that there isn't a video with the scene from that quest, only the dialogue in wowpedia article.
None of those quests were available in Classic TBC.

There are multiple quests from TBC that were removed silently sometime shortly just before or after launch. They're all in the Draenei starting zone. I was in the beta and did them multiple times so i knew how to get each one.
All of them required specific triggers and kills of specific mobs in the 5 to 10 area. They would net you a good set of greens, boots, chest and gloves. They dropped from mobs that were neutral and were not part of any kill quest. Most people who would find them, therefore, were leveling up their skinning, which was handy because the rewards were leather gear.
The most complex one was originally of an npc who was wounded in the woods. The npc would be under attack from a mob that you could kill and you could then heal the NPC with your racial ability and get a reward. It was NOT OBVIOUS. They eventually hid the quest by not having the NPC under attack but if you could drag an angry mob over to the quest giver, you could trigger the interaction, and still get the quest and reward for healing them. They THEN nerfed it by giving the NPC full health, so you couldn't heal them, so youd have to find a way to damage her, say with a horde friend, to get her to activate and give you the quest.
    They eventually removed her. 😂

Random Thing... Maybe someone with your knowledge would have better research... I am 1000% sure that I was once attacked by a Rarespawn Stealthed Turtle Mob in the Hinterlands... I've told people about it for years and joked about a Stealthed Ninja Turtle in the Hinterlands... I've never been able to find it since and can't even find any record of it ever existing... But I know for sure I'm not crazy... There was once a Stealthed Turtle Rarespawn in the Hinterlands... When Classic released in 2019 I went back and searched for hours... It's been like my WoW Mobey Dick... I swear it was real, but I've never been able to prove it
Edit: It was on the coast north of Revantusk Village with the rest of the Turtles. I believe it could have been Ironback... But I've found no record of Ironback having Stealth.
Edit: I'm confident that it didn't just spawn on me because it was an elite and killed me and I came back with another player and found it again patting down the shore 100% in Stealth

Yea O.G classic wow will never comeback, they changed a lot in classic 2.0, I mean, just the talent tree by our rdrood (innervate must be skilled and got his change around prepatch) the only reason to put a rdrood in a raid was cuz of innervate and there was no slot for kitty, boomking, or tank bear cuz priest's needed the innervate :D

As I got older I gained the ability to focus on something that interests me without needing constant stimuli to keep me awake. Also how to give feedback that somebody can use. Give concrete examples of what could be improved is my recommendation. Something like: narration is an opportunity to make the video more engaging and a focus on improving your speech cadence could make the content easier to follow in sort of a conversational way. Have a great day 😊

Join a private server. Screw Blizzard. Awful company and making awful games and "remasters" now.
