- Piaggio Ape Philippines - Greenhills branch ran a test ride event (Mar. 23-24, 2018) and I had a chance to try out the new Piaggio Ape City (Gasoline/Petrol type).

Is the acceleration of the Piaggio "slower" than the RE ? I've seen comments about this on other videos let us know.. I

The camera is inside the cabin, you won't hear it that much, It doesn't make a lot of engine noise unlike the diesel Ape.

What the Ape City lacks in speed (but enough for city driving), makes up in better handling and ease of use. I like the City's shifter better than the RE 4S, it's a lot more forgiving and smoother to shift.

@@SEGAGIGA Thank you for that information it's important, I was wondering through out the entire video what the shifting felt like, I've ridden in those Baja motorcycle trikes and they don't seem to shift well.

I wasn't able to test the City to its full speed but on paper, the RE is faster. It has a top speed of 60-80 kmph. Personally I have tried 70 on my RE.

Yup, that's what Piaggio Ape Ph claims. I'm not an owner so I cannot verify this based on experience. Their service center in Greenhills seems to be better equipped than the competition but I can't say the same for all their other branches since I haven't been there.

Sorry I only took it for a test drive. You'll have to check the specs for k/L I think it's similar to the RE. Yes, their latest model is also FI.
Speedometer is not funktion and it is a new Piaggio !!

Sorry no idea, you'd better contact Piaggio Apé Ph for pricing. Philippine traffic law regardless of having 400cc displacement, prohibits three-wheelers from using the expressways.

It's their latest model. It's roughly the same size as the RE 4S but has a bit bigger luggage space at the back.

Nope, they're not locally available as far as I know but some companies offer importing them.

Yes, most of their dealership is located in metropolitan areas only but they do have a branch in Cavite: Km. 29 Aguinaldo Highway, Salitran II, Dasmariñas Cavite City

When you make a test ride, which is appriciated, then you should absolutely make comments about your experience, rather than the silly music. As it is now, it has very little value.
