講座詳情:bit.ly/2JCQSRj
【Beautiful Asymmetries in the Universe】
'Stars don't live forever.'
'In the magnificent universe, what we can't see is far more than what we can.'
In Prof. Chu Ming-chung's mind, these are the 'beautiful asymmetries in the universe'. In 'The Pursuit of Wisdom' Public Lecture on 24 May, Prof. Chu used Vincent van Gogh's art piece 'The Starry Night' to describe the universe, 'There are stars that we can find but, at the same time, dark matter that we can't find. Even if we can find the stars, they will one day explode and become black holes.' Wait, don't be too sad. These imperfections have attracted 'silly boys and silly girls' (Prof. Chu's way of calling his students) to immerse themselves in studying and reveal the unknowns.
