Which do you think is better and why? EasyJet or Ryanair?

Flown Ryanair around 160 times, Easyjet approximately 60 times. Ryanair definitely have the advantage on punctuality but I really don't like when flying Ryanair from a "major" airport as often they are given the budget terminal or budget gates at the far end of the airport. Ryanair are best when flying from a small airport where they have a monopoly. The Easyjet ground experience is a bit more "mainstream" and to be honest I don't really have any strong opinions on them one way or the other, except for their punctuality being a bit lacking compared with Ryanair.
I don't understand the baggage or seat reservation fees on either airline - sometimes the price even changes on the outbound and return legs! Got an Easyjet flight tomorrow actually and I'll continue to support both companies depending on them flying where I want to go and if the price is good value. (Wizz Air too, they are pretty good also.)
Great video as usual, love these comparisons.

Yep. I have flown with Ryanair many times to/from a major European airport and the gate area is horrible and grossly overcrowded with very few seats. Most people just have to stand or sit on the floor. Other than that I have no complaints.

Personally I prefer easyJet but that's partly down to my having flown them since I was a kid, their route network at my home airport NCE being much much bigger and just their crews always being so friendly and welcoming. I don't mind Ryanair either but just not using them nearly as much due to their preferred airport of MRS which is way out of the way for me.
Fun fact about Ryanair's fleet: they do have one little special plane that if you're lucky you can try out. They have one singular 737-700 that used to be used for VIP charters and crew training but now it's been integrated into the Buzz fleet mostly out of Poland. Tail number is SP-RUM and if you're ever flying Ryanair out of the likes of Gdansk/Katowice etc you could end up on a very special little baby Ryanair jet (I guess the main way to find it is to look for flights with seat maps that have less than either 33 or 35 rows as these are the 738 and Max configs)

easyJet, any day. I’m partially sighted and use passenger assistance whenever I fly. easyJet staff are friendly, professional, and always provide a personal safety briefing. As I cannot see the main briefing adequately. The last two times I’ve flown with Ryanair, passengers with special assistance were neglected or worse. No personal safety briefing; and when I asked why not, their reply was that I’d said I’d flown with them before. They also said vision impaired passengers weren’t allowed to sit in isle seats, blocking non-disabled middle or window seat passengers- not allowed in the emergency exit rows I’m used to and cool with - and they gave no regard to this being my pre booked seat, that I chose, to sit where I can see and easily interact with cabin crew. I’m either avoiding Ryanair like the plague, or will be recording the entire flight to whack them, disability campaigns, and the CAA with, if necessitated to fly with them again. Genuinely felt unsafe with both those crews. And I’m a very confident flyer.

I've flown both many times but I have a preference for EasyJet. However, Ryanair fly to so many more places and so I often end up with Ryanair more often than EasyJet.
Also, I miss fly-on-the-wall documentaries. You don't see normal every day people doing normal everyday things nowadays. Except on RUclips of course!

UK and European Guinness is all brewed in Dublin with the exception of a microbrewery and Guinness 'experience' in London. Its been the case since 2005 when they shut the Park Royal Brewery in London.

Flown on both it just depends. I do like the way Ryan Air go all out with the low cost though.

18:39 this is because this is the old easyJet cabin that only the a319s have 👍🏻

I think it just depends who has cheaper flights to where you want to go, which one of them operates to where you want to go, & how the crew perform on the flight you take. I have had basically no bad experiences with either of them, but most of the time Ryanair are cheaper than EasyJet

EZY is the more professional of the two. However, when all's said and done, it's each carrier's route network which will be the deciding factor. For example, Ryanair scores with the former E Europe and if/when the Ukraine situation is settled then Ryanair says it will establish flights there as soon as it can.

Definitely true with the Guinness. It's the water. Imagine using any other water than Scottish to make our whisky. Excellent content as always Dom. I prefer Easyjet tbh.

All else being equal you have to go with EasyJet simply because of the wider cabin on the A320.

Great video Dom, but Guinness hasn't been brewed in England for almost two decades now. The stuff you drink in the UK is the real deal, imported from the Dublin brewery and has been since 2005.

I’ve tried this series and find it’s just too presented for me. Nothing like the old fly on the wall style where the real people who work there (and great public) are the only ones in front of the camera. Managed to find loads of classic Airline and Airport on RUclips, thankfully!

I must say the extra for the big carry on vs in hold.
If your big carry on Is a 3 kg+ in dry weight then go shopping again, they can get below 1 kg.
Ryanair charges 13 eur for priority & 2 carry on (only 13.99 eur for 10 kg hold)
Easyjet charges 22.49 gbp for the large carry on (15.49 gbp for 15 kg hold)
Ryanair Is definately cheaper than Easyjet on the carry on part.
Yet easyjet Is more generous with the 15 kg vs 10 (one week in the sun means I have to pack 13 kg).
Easyjet will give me a better value on hold luggage.
I say Its pretty equal If you add the factor of checked luggage but for carry on only Ryanair beats easyjet.

I like both for different reasons. But to behonest Ryanair i the one that I've neve had any issues with or been delayed. With Easyjet I prefer the aircraft but I've always been delayed, including 10 hours at Malaga a couple of years back.

Great report, Dom. Generally happy to fly either airline - it'll come down to the fare and the schedule. But I do tend to find Easyjet more expensive than Ryanair.

There's nothing wrong with either of them apart from price, but that can swing to either of them depending on the day. The one that seems the most iffy is Wizz, but they seem okay. Also 6:15, these multiple stumbles could've been edited around.

I'd always pick easyjet because I dont like the way ryansir do buisness practices by springing extra charges on when you misread the policy info. I'd happily pay a few quid extra with easyjet because I trust them not to try and RIP me off as soon as they got the chance. Also flying into an airport that's actually close to your destination saves you money on taxis or transfers.
