Tq very much. I haven't started smocking yet but very interested to do so. I use to buy smocking dresses for my three girls when they were young. Now that I've retired, I plan to sew it myself for my granddaughter. With that in mind, I've been looking for videos on how to do so when I stumbled into yours. Laureen traditional smocking is done at a 3 to 1 ratio, so 60" of fabric is needed result in 20" smocked.

Kathy, they are still around, but difficult to find. I think most people if they want a grid are just using a fabric marking pen.
