But, like a phoenix from the ashes, Vanessa rose to the challenge and took the entertainment industry by storm. She will always have my unwavering respect.

Soon, my joy would be overshadowed by the vitriol that followed.

Among the most memorable moments of my life was when I met Vanessa in 1990 when a local radio station brought her to their "indoor beach party" to autograph some posters and 8x10's (yes, I still have mine). She couldn't have been more gracious. I asked about her upcoming projects and she mentioned that she was working on a new album (which ended up being "The Comfort Zone") and a Perry Mason TV movie. We only talked for a couple of minutes, but head was in the clouds when I left. Seeing her at this interview reminded me of a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: "Being young and beautiful is an accident of nature, but being older and beautiful is a work of art."
This was by far the best interview on Jennifer’s show. Of course this is from my perspective. Also her out fit was flawlessly appropriate , just stunning.
