    Sheesh you’ve gone all out! I’ve done the same motor you bought but kept stock electronics. Also I purchased the titanium axels I have the full metal upgrades I found that the servo needs a longer arm. I’m surprised the stock electronics can handle the 370 motor

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  2 года назад

      Thanks. I’m just starting. I am also switching out the suspension link mounts I just put on to an axle mounted servo mount. I’m just waiting for the new steering link setup to come before I make that video. Also am trying a wheel and tire combo using 1.55 wheels using 5mm to 12mm hex adapters. That is surprising that the stock electronics can handle the extra load of the 370 motor.

    After being a Tamiya and Team Associated "snob" for the better part of 40 years....
    I was given my FIRST two WPL Rigs! A C24... and a B24-1, arriving tomorrow!! 😎 Already impressed.
    Performance is decent, but quirky.
    But I see POTENTIAL!! 😁😁
    And a myriad of hopups on Evilbay.
    First of hopefully not TOO many questions...
    I can't find Oil Dampers anywhere! 😖😞 Are some of the Aluminiuminium Shocks actually Oil filled.... but people don't mention it, because they don't fill them?
    Sounds weird I know, but some people do that!

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  2 года назад +1

      They have potential. From stock they are junk but there’s so much that can be done with these. As for the oil dampers I haven’t really looked into anything other than the friction shocks I used. I think if people are putting oil in them they would probably say. I would think most of the oil would just leak out if it’s not meant for oil. I haven’t really looked into any more upgrades for this C14 because I’ve moved on to upgrading some other RC’s of mine.

    I'm a new fan of yours. Thanks for these vids mate they are really useful with my upgrades. Just a quick question, Now I think ive bought the wrong shocks for my MND90. They are too stiff and have a tiny suspension travel. Would you recommend these shocks you installed in this video for my d90 as well? It weighs about 1kg.

  • @SivartCustomRCs
    @SivartCustomRCs Год назад +1

    Awesome video and series. Had a thought though, couldn't you just cut the screws for the shocks instead of the plastic?

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  Год назад

      You could do that or get shorter screws. I didn’t have shorter screws and also with cutting screws shorter you tend to mess the threads up and you might not be able thread it in the mount then.

    Would you recommend this suspension, does it have good travel? I have bought some upgraded suspension for my MN90 Land Rover, a very similar rig, but they don't have much travel so wondered if these would be a better option.
    Cant wait for more videos, I love this car!

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! These have just about similar travel to stock. The only thing I noticed is these springs are a little more stiff than stock but you have multiple mounting points to adjust shock angle and height. Where I mounted my shocks, they sit a little high, but that works for me because I have some bigger wheels and tires going on this.

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  2 года назад

      They might work. You might have to use washers and you would need to use screws that are threaded for the metal parts. The screws are different for the plastic pieces. I didn’t try putting the plastic stuff back on so I can’t say for sure if it would work. I think with a little messing around you could probably get something to work.

    Maybe someone can help, I've just upgraded to metal suspension and rods on my sons c24 as he snapped some plastic bits.
    Problem I have is when the truck is on its roof or lifted wheels spin with a bit of clunking but as soon as I put it down all 4 wheels seem to lock up. If I disconnected either drive shaft it will run in 2 wheel drive. Any ideas what could be causing this?

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  2 года назад +1

      Are all 4 wheels spinning in the same direction when it’s on its roof? The reason I ask is it could be possible that you may have installed one of the axles upside down after doing the upgrade. This would cause the front wheels to spin opposite of the rear wheels.

    • @ReadytoRunRC
      @ReadytoRunRC  2 года назад

      @@robertrogers3297 I don’t think you really messed anything up trying to drive it with the wheels going the opposite way because the stock motor isn’t all that strong. The problem could just be that the plastic gearing in the transmission is skipping teeth. It did it in mine right from out of the box. Any type of incline would do this.
