Just bought a wpl c24 after loosing my c14 a few years ago to a fire and I wanted to do a ground up rebuild but couldn't figure out the electrical part but you sir helped me figure it out thank you
I finally destroyed the stock servo transmission within 2 hours of running because it tried to pull the axle ALL THE WAY up on full lock. The axle mount servo upgrade is SICK
Thank you! This is my first one so not sure what all can be done with it. I have a few more upgrades for it. Next video coming soon. Thanks for checking this one out.
Thanks! It's not coming along so smooth for the suspension links and shocks. I'm at a stand still until I get some things delivered so the next video is a little delayed.
Soo I'm a little late commenting again .. I have another question, issue I ran into with my WPL. I upgraded the diffs to Metal/Titanium big ones and the back one is "slipping" not catching gears ..?
Could the axles possibly be back in stock, and if so can there be a link for them because I actually wanted to follow your tutorial for the axles and the shocks upgrade, but if you can't send a link, can you send what they are called because I can't find them anywhere, and thanks for the tutorial!
The kit I bought is still out of stock. Here is a link to a kit very similar. amzn.to/3rZXEF4 It looks to be the same except it doesn't come with grease and thread lock.
@@foxyscontent713 no problem. I also noticed the metal drive shafts aren’t included in that kit either but you can find them sold by themselves on Amazon.
@@ReadytoRunRC well, should you ever do a comparison video. You'd absolutely have my like. This is definitely one of the most informative channels I've seen so far for this model rc. Thanks for all the info!
The portals offer really good gear reduction. Mine clims over easy on a steep angle . And also the ground clearance alone makes it a good setup, all depends what youre going for really
2 years later still helping people put together their new upgrades, just got mine done thanks!
Thanks! Good luck with your build.
Just ordered one after owning a hpi for 3 years I wanted a 2nd crawler that wouldn't break the bank and I could build better than my hpi

@@anubismustangs9215 sorry to hear about your C14. Glad I was able to help.
@ReadytoRunRC things happen, but I knew I wanted to jump back into the rc world with another wpl rc crawler because I enjoyed my c14
Metal axles and a bigger motor are probably the two best upgrades for the WPL trucks.
Motor is being installed after I put the shocks and links on. I got the 370 brushed to go in it.
Nope soft tires are the best thing
Very helpful indeed I am in the process of upgrading the c24 yota

Ive been upgrading my mn82 an my wpl.👍
Great Job Ready To Run RC!
I've always been interested in these WPL's and MN's and you've made a great video on it.
Cant wait for the next segment👍

@@ReadytoRunRC You can get an axel mounted servo kit for better steering angle and maybe a winch at the front!
Cant wait for the next videos!👍
@@ericsrchobby5180 thank you for bringing these axle servo mounts to my attention. I will be getting one for my wpl.
@@ReadytoRunRC Cool, I'll look forward to the video.
I’ve been looking at these WPL rigs. Might have to just get one and start a build.
Super cheap and easy to work on. I say go for it.
Man all I can say is AWESOME JOB .
Thanks! I'm happy with how they turned out and how they feel. Definitely gives a lot of low down weight.
Just found this video! Thanks man for good explanation
@@anrckindaguy glad you found it!
thanks for the share ! stay awesome!
Thank you!
Nice work looking good 👏😊👍🎄

Did you make your own shims? Love these videos they’re the best for these wpls!
No the shims came with the kit. Glad you like the WPL videos. Thanks!
Hello!!! Friend, tell me how you’ve done with these axes, are they good? Haven’t they been damaged?
They work perfectly fine. I made plenty of videos with them on.
A great video but honestly, I reeeeally worry about the holes on your work bench and those tiny screws!
Haha thanks but those holes are not there anymore. I put a new top on a few months ago.
Do his upgrade parts also fit the C64?
Which metal axle truss did you use? WPL doesn't seem to sell one for the C14 and the bronze-looking one you have here looks perfect!
I used this one amzn.to/3Fx0tlY
Thank you
My c24 has a little play in the front wheels, do the metal axles make the steering more precise?
They definitely help
Those brass bushings that go into the axle for the pivot point of the steering knuckle, any idea how to buy them seperately?
Haven’t the slightest.
Soo I'm a little late commenting again .. I have another question, issue I ran into with my WPL.
I upgraded the diffs to Metal/Titanium big ones and the back one is "slipping" not catching gears ..?
Hmmm not sure what is causing your issue. Only thing I can think of that might be a possibility is maybe theres too many shims in differential.

@@ReadytoRunRC yeah, also, does the suspension kit fit with this axle?
@@foxyscontent713 I guess if it’s the same one I have. I don’t know what kit you have.
Does the axle kit come with the shims by any chance?
Yes
Mine came with washer, what are they for ?? 4:37
🤷♂️
Where can I purchase the metal axel kits for this WPL C14
From the link in the video description.
Hi can the 116/scale rc rear diff right and left end pieces be up graded to 110scale rc theads to fit 110scale wheels
Yes
@@ReadytoRunRC hi is that a 112scale
@@TW39 no 1/16
Do you reccomend these axel's over some of the other types? Debating between these ones or portal axel kits.
I have never ran portals or know anyone who has so I can’t tell you one over the other is better.

Arnt the axles metal in the kit version??
They are if you buy the metal kit version.

is that compatible with C54-1?
I am not 100% sure but I do believe they are the same thing.
