Wonderful advice all around! I would add the these little dogs need to be protected from large dogs who may attack them and from little children who may hurt them by stepping on them, dropping toys on them and so on. IGs are such fragile littlecreatures but so worth the effort!
Is great to feel understood. I worry so much to leave my 14 week old Fiore alone. She has being with me for about 10 days and I adore her. I can’t think in life with out her anymore Your videos are useful, helpful, didactic. I want for both of us to be as happy as posible and to do that educate Fiore is fundamental.
tip nr. seven is super! I always take my iggy for a long walk before leaving him alone for a long time. An d alwalys return to him laying comfortably (in my bed, that`s ok) relaxed.
My dog is staying aloe good until up to three hours. I use a video nanny every time I live for a significant time, and when I get notification about loud voces I turn on my mic, speak to her and she gets relaxed for another hour or so..
We have 2 so that helps … kind of . On occasion I think they both get excited while we’re gone . They were crated , but I think they are happier out in the home .
I know it's been 3 years, and I am thinking of getting an Italian Greyhound, I would be with them for 24/7, but twice a week, I work nightshifts. I'm not sure how they would go
my biggest question is, is how do i train if i cannot stay home while attempting to do so. i really want and italian greyhound and i'll be home for most of the day most days but i typically work 4-6 hour shifts (i am a teenager and i do online school and its only a part time job) and so im not sure how to go about it if i can get a doggo. should i wait until there is a period of time where im not working at all? i dont see that happening though
I like that you mentioned that they can be alone for about 5 hours when trained. I think it's important for people who want an Iggy to know that they really shouldn't be left home alone for 8 hours every day. The training is really important for when you need to leave the house but, iggies were bred specifically to be companion dogs and it's really not good for them to be alone for so long, so often. If you work long hours I highly suggest to find a sitter or daycare for your pup 😉 Also, anyone else finding their Iggie's anxiety training back to square one after lockdown? ✋
@@484abc484 I see ☺️ well if you are allowed to bring a dog to work and Are willing to go for walkies with them before or after work to wear them out, then it can definitely work!
Four to five hours huh? As much as I like how the pooch looks and acts, in a general way, it seems best not to get this breed if you're single and work 8 hours a day.

Yes I agree. Also I just don’t want to go anywhere without him anymore but maybe that’s just me 😌🤣
@@thelifeofnello Lol....I said it was me that had the dreaded Separation Anxiety....And think there is some truth there.
@@Oakleaf700 oh I feel you 😬😬😬
What about other peoples houses so if I go on holiday and needed to leave the dog at a friends, would they know to pee outside there too?
My little girl is housetrained but I never completely trust her at someone else's home. She has embarrassed me more than once! I keep her on a leash.

Can I bring my Iggy to my 9-5 job?
Depends on what your 9-5 job is 😬
@@thelifeofnello should have specified🤦🏼♀️😁 It‘s an office job
