HOW TO - Install the KNEE ASCENT

The KNEE ASCENT offers climbers an efficient means of accessing the canopy of a tree when using a stationary rope system. It’s used in conjunction with the ZIGZAG or ZIGZAG PLUS, the CHICANE and PANTIN foot ascender. It consists of an elasticized upper strap, an ascender, and a lower strap foot loop, and it can be easily stored in XS TOOLBAG when not in use.
In this video, Nate, from the Petzl Technical Institute, is going to look at how to install and fit the KNEE ASCENT.

Can you use it in rope access with the Pantin and the Croll?

Problem with this setup is that youd only be attached to the croll and that isn't sufficient for rope access standards.

Yes just use a backup device such as an asap on a separate rope

The strap that comes over the shoulder, what is that attached to? It’s way to short to to reach the back of my harness, or go over a shoulder.
