This is amazing!! Can we watch the Saturday sessions on replay?
For the live coaching, will it be group coaching or individual sessions? Is it a Q&A related to the course content, or will it address our individual issues?
Also, does the course focus on how to stay out of burnout? I think I'm out of burnout, but I've had major skill regression and I'm worried about getting worse again soon.

      Hi there,
Yes, all of the Saturday sessions will be available on replay, with transcriptions.
The live coaching will be group coaching, but there will be some general Q&A time as well.
And we will absolutely be talking about how to stay out of burnout as well, and noticing when you’re slipping back and what to do then. Because that’s the whole point, to break the cycle and be able to stay out.
What else? Other questions? I’m happy to answer, and if this is a good fit, I hope to see you in the course.

Is there an end date where you will have to decide if you want to join the course? And how many participants is allowed? It will probably be chaotic if there is too many people wanting to talk about their problems simoultaneously. Thanks.

We start September 7, so that’s a natural decision date. If someone finds out about it later and really wants in, everything will be recorded so it’s theoretically possible, but that makes sense as a natural cut off.
I am anticipating a smallish group for this first time, maybe 20 to 30 people I have facilitated groups like this before, and many of us later, IDd Autistics have issues around being seen and don’t want to be coached in front of others;,there will probably only be a few volunteers. And I have systems for facilitating that so it doesn’t get crazy and avoids most hurt feelings.

Just be honest with that sidejob.
Full time working is for autistic people especially older NOT doable. A ''course'' will NOT magically make an autist as energetic as a neurodivergent.
I know because I had that route as an older men with autism. I did all the things to just keep going until I had such a burnout that I was sleeping 15 hours a day for half a year.
Now I can work parttime & THAT saved me. Not a ''course'' to slave fulltime without capacity.

You’re right, the goal is not to become as energetic as neurotypical ablest productivity standards claim we should be.
But I am working full time and plenty of other Autistics are as well.
This course isn’t going to magically make that happen, it’s going to take time and effort, but I truly believe that this will get you going in the right direction.
Wishing you well on your own recovery journey.

I know what you mean. Did the sleeping 15 hours per day in 2004-5. Still haven't come "back" as the neurotypicals use to say. I read about the course on the homepage, but decided it is not for me. Maybe we total burnouts need something else. But I hope those who can get some kind of guidance in time, as I needed when I had a major crash and burn in 2003, do get value from a programme like this. The teacher will appear when the student is ready, but the student has to know when and if it's time.
'Know thyself' is ultimately the only way forward, for anybody, regardless of diagnoses or other hurdles.

I appreciate that you know yourself well enough and that this is not right for you now.
I also did the sleeping 15 hours a day thing during my two major burnouts. That’s what I call the deep deaths of burnout.
I hope to create something that will help during that part of burnout, but that will be an eventually project. I’m still trying to figure that out.

@@amemabastet9055 The ONLY thing that works is balancing available energy (your supply) with demand. I am lucky to live in the Netherlands I could get extra disability money and work part time. I now manage at 50 for the first time in life! I know in the States its a different culture. There are many autist on the street. You cant speak energy in your life! If you say 'I am energetic I am healthy I am wealthy' 1000th times... You still burn out of demand > supply! And by resting some time you can work fulltime for months and then again burn out
Rebalancing is only thing that works!

@@autismchrysalis There are grades in hell too. I had my 6th debilitating burnout episode in 2003 and have had a few more until I got my diagnosis of autism two years ago, at the age of 58. Furthermore, I'm terrible at following instructions and doing things on time, so I know this kind of assistance wouldn't help. It would only stress me more. But I do things in my own pace and glean inspiration where ever I can.
