Sensational interview exposing the truth about the MASTER WANKERS!! It is not well known that Fender shipped kits to New Zealand in the sixties and they where assembled by the importer Due to a import embargo..necks bodies and parts assembled out side the Fullerton factory ...not sure if they where also finished in NZ
Thanks for the insight and the effort in putting these video together professionally - it takes a lot of time and dedication, like your guitar building work, and your love of the subject comes through. I am subscribed :)
i made my hard tail strat body buy hand its got a thick maple top with a mahogany back witch turned out to be a great idea. im positive i put in way more work than a quote master would have simply because i had limited tooling to work with. but the end result is something i could never afford to buy! its a strat but it has a focused mid range unlike the normal scooped sound you get with alder. it has what i love about a les paul and a stratocaster in the same rig. oh the neck is a slab board with brazillian rosewood. thin tall frets did wear faster than wider frets would have but after a few lever re crowns it found its sweet spot! i use real vintage hardware and it all came together perfectly for once! so ive kept a tight hold on this one!
Very interesting, Vasil knows a lot, I've always thought that CS guitar are overpriced for what they are, just search youtube for a Squier CS comparison (Of course I understand that the attention to detail is way better than what a Squier has, but a regular production line Strat, Mexican or American, with some external adjustments is, in my eyes, the same as a $4,000 CS)
Love the story of the Fiesta red strat, sounds great too. Do you think there is any truth in the "myth" that Fender Custom Shop guitars made specifically for the NAMM shows are superior quality? The thought is Fender would only want to put its best guitars on display. I own a 2018 NAMM guitar and it's the best I've owned. By the way, I have owned two John English master builts from 2006. This 2018 NAMM guitar is superior to both the John English guitars. Thanks for the great content.
I once in a while have a discussion fight with a friend of mine telling him that in the 50's and 60's , they were all workers shown how to carve a body or sand a belly cut and there was no such thing as Master builders and he gets mad every time when I say this just like if they are Gods ! I laugh and he kneels before them ! What a joke ! One of the Custom Shop I had a long time ago had a reliced arm rest with shiny lacquer over it and beeing the perfectionnist that I am , it really bothered me and everytime I looked at it , I saw a lack of intelligence !
Very interesting. I have learned a lot from this series.
Thank you
once again, thank you both for your time and knowledge.

Thank you. This is logical. If I exhibited my projects at NAMM, I would choose the best ones.
