I have a Tomorrow deck I rarely play because it’s busted. Turns takes forever and since I’m essentially scrying 3 every time I draw, I can easily get to answers.
I can speak from personal experience when I say The Unspeakable is absolute garbage. I ran it in my Soulshift Kamigawa deck on EDH, with the three spells, and not once have I ever cast it. Ever. I doubt I ever well. By comparison, I hope that we will one day receive "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!
Bill Ferny is so confusing. It seems like the card must have been designed to create a horse token when it enters, right? There are only three horses in LTR and LTC, none of which you'd want to give away. When those sets came out, it looks like there was only one card ever that creates horse tokens? (Crested Sunmare) and you don't want to give away a 5/5 for three treasures, either. All the cheap horses you'd want to give away are from like 25 years ago. I have no idea what anyone was meant to do with this card.
If you give changeling to Bill Ferny, you can give him, and that removes him from combat. It's not good, but It's a bit like a humble defector. The changeling equipment from Lorwyn is easy to tutor and stays on him when he's gifted so he can be passed around.
I think it was meant to come with cards like that older Akron card which was a 0/4 and gave anyone who is not controlling it a 1/1 every turn... They should have created other 0 power Horses with effects like this (opponent adds 1 mana, controller cannot play counterspells etc.) and add a Lure effect to Bill Ferny
@@איתןשי Zero power beasts of burden with utility is such a cool concept, like Giant Ox. It would be great to see some cards like that with synergy designed around them.
Taniwha can actually make a really competent stax edh deck- Just tap your lands before they phase out and then cast a mass land destruction spell like sunder to bounce all lands except your own
@Psyman2 the card reads “at the beginning of your upkeep” so you can just tap and float all your mana in response to the trigger then cast something like sunder once the trigger has resolved
re: @9:28 Keeping The Unspeakable alive for a turn. Its (his?) three-spell ritual can be cast at instant speed, meaning you can "flash" it in at your opponent's end step. Does that make it better? Probably not. But it's factually true that, if done correctly, you don't need to wait that turn.
Bill Ferney and an Unnatural Selection lets you stick an opponent with some pretty funny creatures. Or if you have a way to temporarily steal someone else's creature and then pawn it off on a third player lol.
Tomorrow is the best card on the list by far. The card selection you get, not to mention the combo with Sylvan library. Lu su also wins the game with mind over matter. Much more abusable than a 5 mana enchantment
I feel Blind Seer having so many decks on EDHrec has less to do w/ what the card does, & more to do w/ Vorthos players wanting an Urza deck w/ no other Urza commander option until 2019 when Urza, Lord High Artificer was printed in Modern Horizon.
honestly only reason the number 1 card is number 1 is cause the ability costs mana if it didnt garentee people would play it as a sort of worse version of kozalek the great distortion

She Lu on my Su until I Wu on her Advisor
Poor advisor
My guy is gooning, and I’m here for it
The Unspeakable definitely needs a thoracic-gynecological exam ASAP; please whip the art director for that one

God imagine how broken Taniwha would be i phasing gave you landfall though.
Yep my thought

Yeah it definitely feels like they made some kind of an error before it went to print

Hit up Gatherer for a card called Unnatural Selection and think about horse trading in a whole new light.

You can't tap lands before they phase out since it happens during the untap step where no actions can be taken.

Hisoka is bad, yes. But the painting is beautiful. Donato Giancola is a master

Hisoka commander deck with a card draw/self mill focus could be fun. Not for my friends but for me for sure

Missed a point on tomorrow. It allows you to ignore sheoldred and bowmasters draw a card trigger
I used to use Reveka, Wizard Savant with Norritt from Ice Age. It sure was bad yes
Personally, I'd prefer a vanilla 2/1 for 2 over a 5/5 with flying for 7.
Same
i swear they just subtracted 1/1 from every creature's statline at the last second for kamigawa block
I was still pretty new to the game when Alhammarret, High Arbiter came out and I wanted him to be good so badly. And he just wasn’t
This is going to be a good one
new commander decks here I come

Was hoping Reveka, Wizard Savant ranked higher.
The second time you said Taniwha is that closest to how it's pronounced
Poor blue, it just got some of the most inefficient creatures
Nah, blue doesnt need the help of efficient creatures.
Was expecting Geralf's Masterpiece to be on the list, but apparently it's too mediocre
More to the point: NOT Legendary.
Why's there a vajayjay in the thumbnail lolol
that is crazy to me
We don't speak about it
This list illustrates why we didn't return to Kamigawa for decades it was a dud farm of a block
