-Place middle finger on gnarling(depending on your arm length)
-Spread knees to create tension in lower body
-Pull lats down towards your stomach
-Use extension pull over motion instead of press to unrack bar
-Allow weight to settle before descent
-Bend the bar, then pull it down
-Actively pull bar down to rib cage
-Rest weight on chest before pressing to control weight and imitate competition
-Use leg drive: Slide earth away, imagine a quad extension to initiate lift
-Keep upper back stacked with tension through arms to hands
-Lock on your last rep: don’t throw weight into rack
You’re welcome
just saved me a rewatch, thank you
Man, you're a hero
Coach went into full coach mode😂 barely let Larry talk smh
Larry is the lovechild of C.T Fletcher and Ronnie Coleman
He also kinda looks like a young Neil DeGrasse Tyson
He's half dark white, half black. What's the difference
Stan Efferding is his godfather
fangiscool1 this guy just said dark white lmao
2 men cant conceive, nor can u have two fathers simultaneously, try again.
Hands down the best bench press tutorial as compared to so many others who tend look over the small stuff that really matter.
definitely gonna be implementing these tips into my bench. awesome video guys!
Imagine if Larry took not just whey protein BUT whey isolate 😳
hey local cod nerd
I've been lifting weights hard and heavy for 25+ years, and I always pay attention to form. Always try to be a better lifter and lower the risk of injuries. I have a lot of shoulder issues but and can rarely do bench presses. But after adapting this form, I have absolutely no shoulder issues at all!!! This is really the best instructional video of bench presses I've ever seen. Larry is damn lucky to have a cough like this to lower the risk of injuries with the riddiculus amount of weight that guy moves. GREAT video!!! Thank you!
I literally stopped watching porn to come and watch Larry lift weights.
Madness M good choice
Madness M ...and still came
Me too,not my proudest fap
Madness M legendary response 💯
How too Fap should be the name of the video
I never seen Larry with an empty barbell
Larry the kind of guy to warm up with 315.
Larry hasn't seen it either
they edited the weight out to make new guys feel better.
Zach Duck Like Henry Cavill's mustache in Justice League.
Bob G i mean for the deadlift thats like 30-35% for him lmao
Attack
BIG POWER
Hell yea Larry
Picking up the sunday paper
I would liked to have heard Larry spoken more in this video, his coach is definitely informative by dotting his I's and crossing his t's but quite pedantic, also interjected too much. Let the man, the myth, the legend speak.
@Dapdoi Ardon How many could a would have have if a would have could have would. 😁✌
P.s. I fixed it, good looking out.
Great video Larry (: This helped me to improve my bench! Thank you (:
0 _ my nigga this been out for an hour you improved your bench in 5 minutes????
Physically.. It helped me when I saw it and I already changed things in my head, when I think about my bench!! nigga u trippin
lmaoo facts
Shayan Abdullah,
LMAO!!!! I was thinking same thing 😂🤣
Larry sounds like xerxes from 300.
I was just looking for this exact video yesterday from you specifically, Larry. Great video from you and your coach and I can't wait to apply these awesome tips to my Bench Press next Chest day.
By far the best bench press video on RUclips thanks
I love the video. Both Larry and Gaglionestrength know their stuff. I do half/75% reps on the bench because I am arm dominant on the bench and I will burn my tricep out before I can burn my chest out. I already do tricep workouts after I am done the bench press. I stalled for a very very long time on bench press because I locked out after every rep, and this meant I could only do 1-2 sets of 5 bench press reps before I'd have to lower weight or lower reps. When I started doing half reps/75% reps I could actually exhaust my chest before I exhaust my triceps, and I started to go up by 5 lbs every week or two on my bench or add a few more reps in. I could actively see my progress and thats how I was able to surpass 225lbs bench at 160lbs body weight.
Not sure if anyone else has similar issues, I know Connor Murphy said he does something similar, clearly he's not on the cutting edge in the fitness industry but I know guys like us are not alone.
"Sliding the Earth away"
This is a brilliant and succinct way to address leg drive issues
I got a pump from watching Larry lift that bar
This isn’t a genuine Wheels vid without BTC😭
Trey Asprer L
Comment didn’t age well 😢
I love Larry. Sounds like such a great guy.

This is exactly the kind of vid I needed.
Awesome break downs on all of these lifts. You two rock.
His voice is actually soothing.
That legs drive tip is awesome
"You should always lockout your benches..." inb4 Larry's 225 for reps
Thanks Larry for share this ....thank u so much
One of the best vids on this I've seen so many and I actually took a lot away from this thanks
Pure masterclass this is. Thankyou. I fully appreciate this video. 💪👌👌👍
Best How to bench video i've seen
Best bench tutorial I have ever seen
Loved the video. Thank you for all the pointers. Only thing I can think to add is some side shots of Larry pressing the bar with some weight.
I appreciate this video, and coming from Larry it speaks volumes. thanks.
Great video guys - I was actually looking forward to this 💪😃 It's allways cool to see the small differences in setup and execution 👌
Best demonstration Ive seen
Larry is the chuck norris of 2018
pretty accurate
No you didn't
I wish more gyms had those wide benches
My new pre workout supplement is listening to recordings of Larry’s lumberjack laugh.
Enjoyed the Video just thought Coach interrupted Larry at times and I would like to hear his opinion. (Like when he was talking about body building bench vs power lifting bench)
Great video, would really love one for deadlift and squat as well!
Much needed info bend the bar I will repeat over and over in my head
Just watching this made my bench press go up
fantastic video, I have been having issues with my shoulders from benching on and off for a long time now, and Im sure that a lot of things from this video will help me perform this lift more optimally and make me progress :) thanks guys!
Thank you... Well taught. You showed me a little tweeak I need to do.
Awesome tips, thanks guys!!
finally decided to learn a more athletic bench form
Been waiting for this (:
Coach looks leaner.
He's cutting for the 242 class I believe.
I agree with that. Also the beard suits him very well.
Spat my drink out reading that
😂😂😂
Fat fuck coach
Great tutorial in depth how to bench press from the youngest hulk
The leg drive tip hellped me
Great video Larry we learn a lot
Super valuable video. Can you do more of these?
Living like Larry
I definitely feel this will help me get to my goal!
My favorite hero Larry bro
Great video, thanks for the information! Would like to see more like this
Thanks for the tip about leg drive. I will test that out, pushing the legs like in quad extension like you said.
Great instructional video!
Great tutorial. Thanks guys!
Thanks for the vid! Very informative!
This video was very helpful information especially since the bench press is my worst lift over all
Great video, and is on time brother. Today, is bench day!!!
This video is amazing guys

Great video, great advise
Larry you should contact Alan Thrall and do a deadlift/squat meet with some other guys too would be awesome
Really love those video’s ! Can you do a video About the belt larry is using? when how and why ..
Grtzzz
The most important thing in this whole video, that Larry said that fix my bench was Squeeze the bar and have full tension on the upper back.
Good advice.
I started lifting weights a year ago been a fat fuck my whole life watching your lifting techniques i learned a lot . I never benched before because of my shoulder watched this and I can do 265 for 5 I tried deadlifting I can do 435 for 3 and squat 315 for 2. I surprised myself I usually do machines and free weights. Not bad for watching and trying
Great vid!!
the other guy or whatever trying to make it sound like rocket science 😂😂😂😂
WWE might want to sign Larry up. Larry is the next big thing I've seen so far.

HOW TO SQUAT & DEADLIFT with Larry Wheels next yea? Sweet
Larry williams 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Cool video thank you
Attack!
Awesome 💯Same video, for squats and deadlifts would be amazing!
Is it me or is Larry struggling to finish sentences without having to gasp for air? Stay safe dawg.
Wheels is the man
Hey Larry thanks so much for this video, going to use all the information at the gym later today. Ever consider starting another RUclips channel for gaming?
How do combat elbow pain after a big bench? I use the same form you demonstrated in the video, but still feel the effects in the used joints. (Elbows, and shoulders).
middle finger on the space in the knurrling
Every since I learned this my bench is now 330lb at 18yr old
Dope video Larry, make one for deadlift and squat, you're a mutant thanks for sharing the knowledge
Coach is getting a little leaner
I wouldn't want to lock out the elbows as that takes away the tension from the muscles and it will lead to injury. Locking out is a power lifters thing.
My shoulders are depressed too...after seeing Larry's shoulders.
