  • Learn the relationship between amps, volts, and watts while seeing if the VEVOR jackhammer really has 2200 watts of power by using a homemade line splitter, an AC line splitter, and a multimeter. A water tower analogy is used to describe how an AC circuit works in your home.

Just a note.... You should never use a load larger than 80% capacity of the circuit. If your circuit is a 20a, and providing 120vac you can calc it as follows; 120v x 20a is 2400w so 2400w x .8 (80%) equals 1920w max load. This is why you will never see a hand held hair dryer greater than 1850/1875w, because the largest circuits typically found in homes are 20a circuits. A 20-amp circuit breaker can handle about 16 amps safely. There's always someone who will say they put more on it but stick with 16a or less and you won't have to worry.
