Mark, when I first ventured into the extreme long range shooting arena, my intention was focused on building a 300RUM to hit a target at two miles. Little did I realize at the time the easiest part of the equation was building a rifle capable of doing the job. What I didn't realize was the difficulty in not only getting and making scopes capable of elevating cross hairs high enough but getting a rangefinder accurate enough as well. But, the biggest challenge was all the different air currents I had to overcome shooting, in a high altitude mountainous setting, where the flight path of the bullet crossed almost a dozen ridges to the target. It was a very expensive project and it took over 2 1/2 years to hit 3543 yards. I was exhausted, tired and done shooting extreme for the next 8 years. I enjoy watching you and Sam more than I enjoy doing it myself anymore, due to age and arthritis anyway.
Thanks Craig, yes lots to it, glad you like these, and yes winds are the tricky bit, very much something that needs to be learned to do this stuff, glad you liked, Cheers
What I love most about watching your videos is when you take a particular caliber well beyond it’s effective range! To me that the challenge! That’s fun! & there’s a lot to learn from in making shots like that! Thanks for making the videos you make! It’s a great pleasure watching them!
It’s great to watch you shoot and equally enjoyable watching both of you cheer on each other’s successes. A good shooting partner makes a world of difference.
I just cleared a little more property to extend my 1000 yard range to 1600 yards now and I get pumped when I see that steel swing I could only imagine how good it feels to drill a target at 3000+... Good shooting and great video as always keepem coming guys!!!
I almost didn't watch this thinking I'd already seen all the hits in past videos but was so enthralled, especially with the buildup from small to large. Thanks!
Wow! Awesome to see so many "pings" in one video. There sure is a lot of energy remaining in the lead when it finds the target. Amazing stuff. Love the sound of the 416 Barrett "shell" departing! This video put a silly grin on my face! 😁
This is the most impressive collection of ultra long range rifle shooting " on target"' that there is on RUclips . The real-time wait for the hit is something to behold . Hat off to you 🙂
The cheytac hit was the best for me. To get 2 that close at that distance is nothing short of brilliance. Great team, great channel. And digging the men at work style outro. 😜🤣 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Muito obrigado por compartilhar, gosto muito de acompanhar o canal. Esse tipo de disparo, calibres e armamentos são um sonho impossível aqui no Brasil.
Great video. I think the most impressive was the 308 at 3000 and how well the 30-06 did with the 230’s and almost 2700fps probably the most underrated cartridge out there
Mark and Sam, awesome shooting. I used to live in Germany in a town called Hemer and a couple of km behind a range (1600m), my mates dad was concierge taking care of the place. We would go out shooting long range (300wm and 338LM) or at least I thought it was long range untill I saw your films. Damn. Thats very very very very long range. Awesome.👍✌️
hi Mark my name is Joel and I absolutely love the videos that you and Sam make they are so enjoyable to anyone who loves shooting. I would like to know what ballistics calculator you would recommend? I’m working on a custom 7mm Remington Magnum that i have high hopes for its riding atop a Atlas bipod that i borrowed the idea from you i do pay attention to every word you say lol saving up for my Night Force scope right now. Thanks for any recommendation you may have.
Watching the flight time on the .50 is amazing. Gets there quicker the some of the lighter projectiles! Having that much time how far do you see the bullet trace?
impressive shooting. Some of the higher caliber almost went through that far out. Have you ever shot for group sizes that far out? Im curious what results you could get on a calm day.
Fantastic shooting Mark! Really enjoyed the Montage. Did the 416 Barrett pierce the plate? Sure looked it...that's some serious speed that cartridge produces. For giggles, I love to see you shoot a big bore to distance(say a 700 nitro express for example

I don’t know what’s more enjoyable to watch. Those fancy rigs banging steel or her getting excited when you make contact @ 3000 yards
Thanks Man, glad you liked, cheers
I got to say from watching you guys over the years I've learned a lot and I'm always impressed with how accurate you are at range
Thanks Allen, Cheers

It's crazy that the 416 barret penetrated the target at 3850 yards. Absolutely bonkers
Lol, Cheers

Fantastic collection of amazing shots. More remarkable, if you consider the wind conditions, we see and hear in the vids. 👍👌

Cheers
Man, those big rifles are fricken cool. Love watching them. Thanks for the video, cheers!
Thanks Michael, Cheers
Great!
Thanks Amir
Very nice. I must admit, I was a bit surprised the 50 didn't go through when the 416 did. 👍
Thanks duggy
Why would that surprise you?
You are amazing my friend 👍 awesome shooting
Cheers man, thanks
Cool stuff!
Cheers
Mark I only wish I knew 1/2 of what you have forgot, awesome video
Lol, Cheers Sterling, glad you like
Amazing shooting. Also wouldn’t think a 6.5 cm would reach that far. I’ve had 142 grain tumbled and hit plywood target sideways at 1550yds. Cheers
Thanks and we have videos on those issues, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork have to correct myself it was a 140 that hit sideways 142 were punching straight thru. Thanks cheers
.270 and 7 rem mag great shots.
Thanks Man, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork
I believe someone is using your logo and trying to scam people. Thought you should know.
Amazing shooting!
Thanks for the video and God Bless
Cheers Henry
Great shooting! Time for a cup of tea before the hit1
Lol, Cheers
1:21 That .270 shot, center hit at 3008 yards !! Wow !! :)
Cheers
Heck of a distance good shooting
Thanks, Cheers
Crazy numbers out of that 416 barrett
Yep, lol, Cheers

Hi Joel, we use the Strelok Pro app, works well, Cheers
Always a pleasure to watch you two. Do you own a bunch of different rifles or a few that you change barrels on?
Thanks Bud, and a bit of both, lol, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork I figured
Would it be fair to call this a greatest hits video. Unbelievable shooting at any rate, great work guys
No Just a 3000 yard video, might do some shorter and some longer multi shot videos in the future, Cheers
375 Gibbs sure hits hard at that distance.
Yep, Cheers
Watching the flight time on the .50 is amazing. Gets there quicker the some of the lighter projectiles! Having that much time how far do you see the bullet trace?
The 50 was at closer range, and trace isn't visible on shot much past 1500 yards, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork still incredible 😍
impressive shooting. Some of the higher caliber almost went through that far out. Have you ever shot for group sizes that far out? Im curious what results you could get on a calm day.
We have many videos showing the full shoots, groups are always weather related in ELR, but we show in the videos, Cheers
What's the spotting scope that you are using? And long are the barrels? Around 35".
NightForce TS-82 and no, but details in all the video, links in the description
Better the 22wmr, Quigley and lever gun content posted lately👍
Cheers
Aways nice to see some shooting like this ......
Thanks John
Any time you reload your own brass?
All hand loaded, never factory

Yes, as shown, and well not something we have, but if someone want to $$$ for such an effort, we ready and able, lol, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork cheers to you as well
Find video! Just think a few years ago most people would’ve thought shooting that distance was impossible with most of those calibers.
Thanks Man, Cheers and all the best.
Good shooting mark...wish I had a place to shoot at least 500 yards... most I have safely is 200
Thanks Scott, Cheers
Scott Russell, where do you live? May be able to help you find some ELR!
@@robinepps7274 live just west of Lexington ky... max yardage is 200 where I shoot... years ago I was able to shoot 500+ yards at the family farm
Nice work! What are your barrel lengths? 7mm, 300wm, etc. maybe a video about barrel length theory and do we really need to go long or short?
All on the channel, Cheers
What type of metal and thickness do you use for your targets❓
ruclips.net/video/1_hubTKAdw4/видео.html
@@markandsamafterwork Thanks!
You are the best! If you use 22 calibre, and in this situation target will hit!!! Amazing shouting
Lol, Cheers
You aussies do it tough! Imagine having a farm that big with not a single blade of green grass on the property
Yep summer gets dry round here, lol, Cheers
Of all the calibers, the 308 Winchester at a little over 3000 yards was most impressive.
Thanks Ruben, Cheers
