Thanks for your insightful commentary on this video. I agree, the audio quality is lacking, and doesn't do justice to either the music itself or Ana's rendition. I think she does play with great feeling and hope to one day be lucky enough to see in person the young lady perform.
Thank you so much 'O keeper of the secrets' for showing the rest of us the error of our ways. Music is subjective and this 'moron' happens to dislike her rasquedo (totally out of time - listen), lack of pizzicato in the Verano Porteno and her lack of right hand strength. Let's face it, without modern microphones you'd be lucky to hear her in the sixth row, but , sorry Master, you know best. I did very much enjoy her interpretation of Bach's First Cello Suite but her Piazollainterpretation is not to my taste. Moron out.
Have to agree on the rasgueado's....a trifle annoying, actually, but found the rest pleasant enough....as you said, not the greatest Piazzolla out there, but still great music...
I agree it is an important info. It is a great work to write so beautiful transcription. I add that the forum about guitar show the cultural particularities of this instrument. I think Ana Vidovic way of playing is at the level of only best legendary pianists or violinists, and it is very curious to compare the style of the commentaries about her and these about them. Thanks for this video.

Gracias.
Whoever arranged Milonga del Angel did it NO FAVOUR! Rhythm, dynamics and the soul of the piece- all destroyed. Absolute Rubbish, wouldn't play it for the world.
Yes, clearly a much better version. Piazzolla experts would agree, I'm sure. Not this milonga-romance ballade-style rubbish! I feel like I'd be offending people by making them listen to my playing this APPALLING arrangement.
As a professional guitarrist who plays tango since childhood I have to say that she is going too fast. She doesn't understand the concept nor the sentiment Astor Piazzolla had when he composed these musical pieces. They express the struggle of the society where he grew up. There are many sections where Vidovic should have given it a pause, or a rest, but drilled right on through as if a piece for practice. She is very impulsive. It would have been better to allow a native Argentinian, or even an Italian or French perform the piece, because the three cultures share the same background of struggles both in their cultures and music. Vidovic, a Croatian, does not understand. She is very impulsive. She even pushes her impulsivism in her "Master Class" to those who will pay to sit with her. She might as well hold a ruler in her hand to slap the student's hand. She constantly over corrects. She could be an excellent instructor, but go figure... And no brainer she doesn't do tours.
All valid criticisms though I believe more negative than they need be. Music is personal whether it be concerning the composer, player or listener. some players and listeners color their music by personal feelings that not even the composer or perhaps the player on another day might wish had been rendered differently. I haven't listened enough to this performer to form any hard opinions. I have heard her when she shows considerable immaturity in her approach even while being technical perfect. We all bring our own unique expectations and judgements about musical pieces and perhaps on another day this artist would bring different and perhaps more pleasing renderings of technique to color our judgements of that playing with our unique blend of perceptions. On a different day colored by different emotions and moods the music will produce a different nuance, colored by the immediate moods of both the performer and those listening. Miss Vidovic remains one of our foremost players of the classical guitar, though at times I find her approach rather brusque, she's always worth listening to and watching. I have heard her when her interpretations are almost transcendent. With even professionals individual performances vary. I guess what I am saying is opinions are like, ahh........ let us say to be polite, noses everyone has one. both the performer and especially the listener, we are all affected by our own unique existence which at that time, colors our perceptions. We can't expect any performer will fulfill our personal expectations even most of the time.
Orgullo Argentino!

I don’t think there has ever been a time when we have had as many female virtuosos as we seem to currently have? Ana is one of the ‘greats’!

Ana plays with huge feeling and grace, with such depth of heart ! Thank you Ana Vidovic and Astor Piazolla!

UNA MARAVILLA .-.-
Bello !!!!
Awesome talent
Young and very talented. If she continues with tango she will only improve with the inevitable sad wisdom of this music.
Wonderful

+DamarioFilms don't we all :)
No, I can't think of anything worse.
beginning of this tune sounds like a metal song.
Well played as Vidovic often does but what a shame that it fails to mention that these are Baltazar Benitez's transcriptions.
Thanks for the info

I probably won't end up actually doing this, but right now I'm considering never listening to anything else, only Ana and her guitar.
I feel the same way, if only there were more recordings available!

I am indian guiterest. You are my god mother gutiterest.
No. no, no, PRIMAVERA PORTEÑA.
