I used to work for subway for about 8 years, and i got a write up for giving "too much tuna" in my scoops for customers. They wanted us to use the smallest scoops possible to conserve "inventory". I loved working there, i just hate that we sometimes can't make both our customers and bosses happy at the same time.
Subway needs to be paying this man for every vid. I am right there with you. I only ever crave subway on road trips, because out here in the midwest it is often the only option on trips (especially back in the 90s and early 00s) so it is nostalgic, but this is making me want to drive down the street and grab one.
She is just out here trying to catch flies with honey. Cant hate on that. He does hook it up on the chicken already. I would be surprised and happy to get that when I usually have to pay for extra to be happy. When I worked subway as a kid, my manager had us weigh the chicken out in trays, and would tell us to use less than the standard portions because her bonuses were based on food cost. She only let employees have a 6 inch sub, and the old big cheesesteak was not allowed.
Considering he has said that his parents know about his videos and ask him about them, I would assume that they watch them fairly regularly lol. While it might not be as impactful in this particular instance given his parents own the place, I'd argue managers having access to this kind of insight into the opinions and experiences of the floor workers could be valuable.

Two "friends" of mine once said extra meat and got absolutely pissed when they got charged the extra dollar (Europe has 0,75 euro) for extra meat. They got in such a big discussion with the employees they made one cry. Needless to say, I'm not friends with them anymore. They were disgusting, toxic people.
lol those people crack me up because ( at least at our) subway puts a sticker up that says it cost more and how much and typically they even tell you it will be extra. i always get extra cheese and bacon.. it's kind of funny all the employees there that know me just make the sub the new ones are like it's extra. i am just yup I know thanks.

I've never tasted subway since it has only one branch in my country and it's on another city. But after watching your videos, I'm going to save money to go and try it. It really looks like it's gonna be my favorite food place. So beautiful

The worst sandwich I was asked to make was from this couple who came in and they both ordered a sandwich with, no joke, every single meat option we had except the cold cut combo. Their sandwiches were super expensive and they were pretty pissed off about it and tried pulling the "they don't charge us that much at the other subway," bs.

I know ive been a little critical on some of your vids but. I also used to work at subway. But I totally agree with you on this part. Befor I quit working at subway the only scoops we had was for tuna. They made us weigh every thing from the teriyaki to the steak. It honestly made no sense because we were always behind. Because weighing out each portion took way to long.
It depends really on the work environment. Some people who work ar a subway might hate their job, and some people who work at a different subway might enjoy being a sandwich artist. Sometimes that shows.
