- A U.S. judge ruled to have the jury hear Amber Heard's $100 million counter claim against Johnny Depp. Depp's legal team calls witnesses to testify.
Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 opt-ed she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse" and Johnny claims her article defamed him and cost him Pirates 6. Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million.

There's a positive side to Amber's attack on Johnny, she's shown the whole world his good nature and integrity.

As a retired registered nurse, I understand the language used by Dr Gilbert. He was able to put in layman's terms what the actual injury was, and, most importantly, how it happened. JD's testimony was spot on.

As a victim of severe mental abuse from an ex boyfriend, to the point where I almost took my own life… it is DISGUSTING to see her get up there and lie like that. Not a single tear came out of her eyes. She needs serious help. She is not right in the head.

I'm a DV survivor with PTSD. I can tell she doesn't have PTSD..She doesn't show even the most basic symptoms of it. The audios show she had no fear of Johnny. She taunted him, belittled him, hit him and admitted it although she turned the meaning of those audios around putting herself as the victim..she is so brazen to think those of us who listened to the audios believe she was the one being abused when it was clear she was the abuser..mind boggling..
I did everything I could to not say or do anything to agitate my ex..I waited for him to fall asleep before I'd allow myself to sleep..yet Amber said she took sleeping pills and fell asleep after she was alledgedly brutally beaten, dragged through glass, raped with a bottle, choked and flung across a room landing on a games table with him ontop of her.. after i took a beating I curled up into the fetal position in the corner of my room shaking and crying. I was too afraid to fall asleep..
She cried to the jury but when Camille interviews her demeanor changes suddenly; she does not cry and gets very snarky. A huge performance just like we heard on those recordings. So sad. Bad actress. I hope the jury is intelligent enough to see through this BS.

It is gobsmacking to watch her avoid admitting when she is incorrect, when questioned about the wine spilled on the floor photo - she just cannot admit when she is incorrect, it really is disturbing to watch, the frustration that goes with conversing with a person like this is intense, I have dealt with people like her in the past and it is nothing short of traumatising because in the end you start feeling like you are an idiot or just plain insane and the self-doubt that grips you is noncompare.........of which none of what she is saying is true, this is a real example of a person who is a professional gas lighter.
I had an abusive boyfriend years ago. When he wasn't being charming he was arrogant, condescending, stubborn, flippant, moody, dismissive & a liar. One of the parties in this case behaves just like him and it isn't Johnny.

I fought against depression for years and have coped with it much better now, yet the minute I talk about it, tears come out and block my words. @@ronniemat8437 Yes! it's uncomfortable, unsettling, unease, emotional like hell and even torturing to talk about these things. It's not only the lack of confidence but more of a calm state of mind that stops victims talk about these horrible events AND SHE CAN'T EVEN SHED A DROP OF TEAR then she said she's trying to teach us to freaking speak up.
If she suffers from histrionic personality disorder, this can explain the emotional distance/absence. But in terms of discussing traumatizing events--if you relate them enough, you do develop a degree of desensitization--especially if you have undergone significant therapy (which she has a history of doing). And speaking from personal experience, while I can become quite emotional when my (narcissistic) abuser denies culpability, it inspires angry and impatient outbursts with their lack of remorse and honesty rather than a tearful or frightened emotional response. So we can't discount individual personality and any underlying mental health or pharmaceutical influencers (like anxiety or antidepressant medications).
@@mel3687 I agree with what you said and that is precisely why it doesn't make sense. Had she developed desensitization due to therapy, healing time, meds, she wouldn't have flinched with a poor face upon hearing JD yelling in the recording evidence - which she sure went through multiple times before the trial. Or another time when she jumped at the sight of JD walking towards the stand but in the meantime constantly looking at him and smirking. I also had outbursts of anger towards my abuser, but manipulation, redirection, and clarification are out of the equation during those times. In her testimony, she only got angry when she tried to stand on her ground but then still tried to lead the question more favorably. She faked crying when she said she wanted to be left alone but several minutes later became the fierce warrior who had already gotten over trauma. These reactions are just not consistent
I cant count the times she smirked laughed and smiled throughout this case ! Especially when she was proud of her abuse. Amber is sickening talking and even more to look at.

Myself, and many other true survivors and those of us who truly suffer with PTSD everyday, are deeply hurt by her lies- especially regarding her claims (which have been debunked) of having been an SA and DA survivor. She is the worst type of woman in the world.

Dr Hughes sounds so defensive. Dr. Curry was offering professional rebuttal but Dr Hughes, just like her last testimony, with so much emotion as of she was in the room, as if she is defending her daughter. It seems so bogus. All of ambers witnesses were a joke. They all seemed shady, unprofessional, rude, condescending.

She was referencing Johnny... who was _supposed_ to be the "misunderstood victim," but instead was evidently enjoying himself immeasurably with his legal team--like a group of mean girls at their cafeteria table, scoffing, sniggering, eye-rolling, head-shaking, laughing, paling-around and the general lack of professionalism displayed by a couple of his attorneys who communicated nonverbally to the jury repeatedly.
It seems to me that she _meant_ she was taking this trial seriously (unlike Depp). She was in earnest. She wasn't unconscious of the publicity and general prejudice against her, she knew how she would be projected and perceived. People are stupid--they're fed a narrative and seduced by celebrity worship, and/or project their *own* experiences onto the situation with great bias and close-mindedness. They aren't objective. They're looking for reasons to pull out the torches and pitchforks.
I feel bad for her, because she's right.
By the way, did you watch her last cross examination (where Camille behaved like an ogre), and her redirect? She was incredibly composed and humble and polite. (she rolled her eyes in exasperation a few times when Camille hurled unfounded accusations but that's it). It was the most genuine display of emotions I've ever seen from her (which is saying a lot, considering how disingenuous her grief comes across. She's angry, not sad. She shouldn't try to misrepresent her emotions). Did you see Johnny's cross examination? Mumbling rudely under his breath, arguing, smirking, scoffing, sniggering, staring fixedly, and laughing after his misogynistic text (calling Amber a cum guzzler, among other things) was read in court? And you're attacking *her*? It boggles the mind.
That poor woman has been badly mistreated and misrepresented to the world.
Oh, and there was no 2016 trial. The UK trial you seem to be referencing was *Johnnys* libel case against a UK tabloid. Amber was subpoenaed to testify as a witness. So I don't pity him at all. He instigated it

So the commenter meant that she's getting a taste of her own medicine and yes it's painful. With regards to your comment of whether JD is taking thisb seriously, we can't clearly say but JD may simply be more at ease in this trial as compared to the 2016 trial because his legal team now are more prepared and clearly it shows in evidences and on how they upheld themselves and JD's testimony during cross examinations and rebuttals.

Honestly, after seeing the mountain of evidence including the incriminating admissions in Depp's text messages, I suppose I couldn't fault her. I'd be angry, impatient and dismissive too. She did address her deposition at one point, I remember, and said she wasn't rolling her eyes at the situation but at the attorneys questioning her who, like Camille, apparently expressed ridicule and disbelief and sarcasm.
It's really sad. I mean, I went into this slightly biased against her because I heard brief clips of the leaked audio tapes that seemed to showcase her abrasive personality, and I watched short extracts from their deposition for the UK trial b/c they were linked in some article. But then I actually listened to them in their entirety, and followed the trial proceedings. I read the incriminating texts and realized Depp's public persona was a blatant lie. I pretty much experienced the trial exactly as Heard's attorney's presented it in closing statements.
And I was sad, because I had liked Depp. I thought he was another Keanu Reeves. But that's obviously not the case.

The only true emotions she’s shown are when she’s wallowing in self pity. Misery loves company. Her comments belittling Johnny for experiencing joy in the court room is extremely telling of her character.

Why why why won't Depp's attorneys point out the sharp edge on his bar countertop? It would answer all their questions..The bar looks like marble and is definitely a 90 degree polish edge...they are sharp..A thrown bottle impacting with the distal joint would cause a crushing injury from the top. The bottle's force would silutanously cause a finger to smash into the sharp countertop edging, which would slice the finger from the underside, all the while preserving the nail. No glass in the wound, no bruising on the top.. Exactly how Depp said it occurred.

im a make up artist and i have been doing it for 20 years...worked with and in all kinds of lighting...amber testified that in the bathroom it was two different lights on thats why they looked different...we all know those are both the same photos. but what my eye catches is that the reflection of the lights are in the same spot on her nose and forehead...so there is no way that one is the bathroom light and the other is made from the bulbs that goes around the mirror.
Also, I noticed that the amount of color was the same in the background as well as the foreground. That photo was definitely altered with saturation. She lied when she said they were two different photos. She should be done, I hope.
Which shows at the very least, it was ran thru a filter, which can change all kinds of stuff

If I remember right, she said the brighter light was the next day or hours later. Did she just stand there for hours in the same position? How could one replicate the exact angle, position, and exact hair placement with 2 different outcomes....you clearly see the lighting on the right top of her forehead at the exact position in each photo!

I personally am not a victim of SA or DA, so I cannot speak on that standpoint but what I can speak on is Emotional Abuse (EA). I was EA by my father until his passing. I still can't talk about the things he said to me to this day without crying. With it being hard to talk about EA for me I couldn't even begin to comprehend how survivors of SA and DA feel. I hope that this case can help both men and women in these situations to seek out help and use their voice. Amber Heard is a disgrace to the real survivors in the world.

I can't even listen to her anymore. She went from saying the Op-Ed wasn't about him, to she has the right to tell her story. She further stated it was about him and makes a reference to his power. My mother is a domestic abuse surviver. My oldest sister was killed by her abusive husband. My other older sister jumps from one abusive relationship to the next without hesitation. And i hate that for them. I hate that my sister is dead because she wouldnt leave. I hate that my mother had to survive her abuse and become cold and hard as stone because of it. I hate that my other sister cant figure out that there is another way to be loved.
All that being said i stand with any woman in an abusive relationship trying to escape. However i believe Amber Heard is simply pretending. And if she is may God have mercy on her soul for what she has done.

There are many like her in the field of psychology and social work, I found during my time in working in that profession. Hopefully the public is starting to become aware of this and uses discernment when finding a mental health professional to help them, because they’re not all good as we can see…
