- I purchased my first tobacco perfume back in 2017 at the Santa Maria Novella 800 year old store in Florence, inadvertently falling in love with the seductive alluring scent that is Tobacco as a perfume note.
The 6 fragrances that I'm reviewing cover all seasons and can easily play on a man or woman. These include:

Excellent video and presentation, Marcelo! Tobacco has become one of my favorite notes, and I’m another fellow non-smoker. I’ve got to check some of these out. Pleasantly surprised to see Zaharoff Signature Tabac on here - one of my current faves - sweet, smooth, pleasant tobacco!

You put me onto Naomi goodsir or du serail with this video! I’ve since ordered 2 bottles it’s so amazing! It takes elements from Cruz del sur II and mixes it with elements from fan your flames and makes it better than both for me!
You have no idea how happy reading this made me feel James....I love it when a fragrance that I love, resonates with others. And yes Or du Sorail is such a hidden gem, underrated fragrance that it's a crime.

I actually came to fragrances searching for pipe tobacco reviews and a video from Redolessence came up as an option. I never had dreamed that there was such a wide range of fragrances and notes. Tobacco is still my favorite fragrance note.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector the video is centered on Tobacco fragrances of course, but it was an opening of the rabbit hole for me. I think I watched 3 hours worth of his videos that first night. I ordered Creed Tabarome, Tobaccco Vanille and Pure Havane by Mugler before I went to bed 😂. I was raised in a small farming community in western Nebraska. Fragrance was available but probably only a dozen or so of the most basic and mass appealing designer scents at any one time. Even though I later moved to the much larger Denver Colorado I still didn’t pursue fragrances of any kind. While I always had a bottle of something to spray on, I was for the most part uninformed and uninitiated. That’s why Steven’s niche tobacco scent video was such a revelation. Just the bottles behind him were completely new to me.

But I'm a fan of Kajal as this is just another feather in my collection from the house but wow! 👌🏾 I like this more than Roja's Creation E Pour Homme. May I suggest the house of Lalique. Chypre Silver hit different. Get your nose on it. 🤙🏾

I haven’t come across the Lalique brand as yet. We don’t seem to have this here in Australia… but I jumped on their website and the whole company looks amazing, going to have to hunt this down

I tried many Tobacco fragrances, niche fragrances and designers, and no matter what i smell, i am true to my opinion that the best one that i have smelled so far is 1 million Prive. Yeah yeah, you can all laugh, a 1 million. I bet most of you dont take it serious just because of the name. But to me this is the best tobacco masterpiece i got to smell so far.

Great video Marcelo. Love the tobacco as you do. Tobacco Toscano was the first time I heard of SMN. Then you introduced the OG Regina in your citrus vid. Now I have two from the house I'm going to have to get 😀
You're going to love the entire SMN range; they have a really impressive and diverse range...the only thing is go in with a set budget! Otherwise you'll be in big trouble😂
I'd be curious to know your thoughts on Tabacco Toscano and how you feel this plays as a Tobacco fragrances as it's not your classic 'warm' tobacco scent....I believe it still works but will be curious to know what you think

I like tobacco scents, but the only one of this list I've tried is Nishane Fan Your Flames. Unfortunately I didn't like it because I thought it was too strong and "medicinal". Only wore it the one time. I've struck out with Nishane (Hacivat, FyF, Sultan Vetiver) so I've given up on Nishane. The light tobacco scents I have are designer, like Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme, Roger & Gallet Open. The Niche tobacco scents I have are heavier sweet tobacco scents suitable for cooler weather like Xerjoff Naxos, Serge Lutens Chergui, Aramis Tobacco Reserve, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille (niche-like designer), and even 18.21 Man Made Sweet Tobacco.

Am I the only woman commenting on this video? 😂. I adore pipe tobacco. Tobacco always buy the sweet tobacco as my uncle puffed. I would trail behind him just to capture the scent trail. Any suggestions? I do love Naxos but not full bottle worthy for me. Cheers to your great videos.

I personally haven't experienced what a pipe tobacco would smell like. But I get the feeling that it would be woody, earthy aromatic...?? There's 2 recent tobacco fragrances that I have added to me collection that might fit this profile for you.
1. The Don by Xerjoff
2. Luce by Meo Fusciuni
Both of these have the elements that I described above....really unique and easy love. If you get the chance to test them out, I would love your feedback that way I can gauge if this is close to a pipe tobacco vibe

Nice choices. I love tobacco, so it’s a hard decision to choose one. However, if I HAD to choose my favorite, I think it would be the City Exclusive from Le Labo Tabac 28 Miami.
Being that Tabac 28 Miami is a city exclusive, I only had the chance to test this one out once!! And I can't remember it cos I smelled 8 or 9 in one hit😩 Normally in Sept our local Le Labo store brings in all the city exclusive and I'll make sure to check this one out (I'm going to break up my visit and smell a few a day, rather than try to do it all in one hit😂)

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector yes, you’re absolutely right, I had to wait for September to smell it but I had my sights set on a select few I was interested in…otherwise, I would likely feel overwhelmed like you were. My girlfriend got Gaiac 10 Tokyo which is a beautiful scent for women. I definitely think a man can pull it off as well. However, with the hefty price tag of the city exclusives, especially at 100ml, I limited myself to one.

I love Tobaco Toscano! I had forgotten about Or du Serial, I loved it, but no idea why I don't own it. I will revisit it in the fall. I purchased Nuit d'Bakelite instead which I love, but is challenging.. My husband does not like it so I wear it when he goes out of town. You are a newbie!! I discovered niche in 2014 (Diptyque Eau Duelle was my first), not over 50 bottles later......the journey continues. Hopefully it won't be sidelined by covid. I now have it for the 3rd time and the first 2 times I lost my sense of smell which was the WORST.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector First thing I do every morning is to spray fragrance to see if I can still smell. I lost smell for about a week the first 2 times I had covid. So far I can still smell. 🙂Nuit d'Bakelite won the FIFI award in 2017. It is also on NEZ's list of 111 fragrances to smell before you die. I need to get my hands on that full list as I am 60 years old don't have as much time since I discovered niche in my early 50's. 🤣

Cool list. Zaharoff unfortunately is not available in europe yet. Fan your flames is amazing, great to wear it all year around. I have a problem with penhaligons portrait collection. I dont find the performance justified for the money, which is sad, since they do smell great

Aramis Tobacco Reserve is a great tobacco scent. I have a 50ml but regret not getting the 100ml when i had the chance

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector No, but I've considered that one before. The two that I own are Savoy Steam (favourite perfume of any brand) and Endymion Concentre (nice to spritz before sleep). I will definitely expand on this, though! Currently considering Quercus for my summer 2022 day perfume.
Quercus is magic. Awesome fresh masculine scent. I haven’t tried Savoy Steam (we don’t have it here in Australia) but a big fan of Endymion, great choice @Symphantic
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector My only hesitation with Quercus is that it doesn't last long on my skin. I know it's a tough thing for a fresh scent to achieve without going synthetic :/

Another similarity i share with you, i realized i have very similar taste to yours Marcelo but that you‘re a sucker for honey i would have never guessed. I love honey in fragrances and my nr1 favorite ingredient is tobacco.
I know you only cover niche but maybe you can make an exception for my next suggestion since it’s a privee collection fragrance anyway and people consider the expensive exclusive lines of designers more niche anyway but damn you NEED TO TRY TOBACOLOR BY DIOR ! It’s very underrated, in fact most people dont like it as far as i can tell but i realized a while after i smelled tobacolor, that it’s my absolutely nr 1 favorite fragrance of all time.
Okay I promise I’m gonna go check out Tobacolor💫 being that we both enjoy the same things… Let’s see if we match up on this one😎

I cant wait for you to review some private blend lines. I also think some "more casual" (not trying to offend anyone) viewers wouldnt be so scared of your channel if you added some more familiar names to your line-up of series'...since you're a hardcore niche guy i could see the private blends of designers fitting perfectly into your channel.
Dior has some real gems in there. Oud Ispahan, Mitzah, Feve Deliceuse, Ambre Nuit and Boius d'Argent are also some of my favorites along Tobacolor.
Heard good things about Chanel's private line and we all know tom fords private blend is also stunning. I sampled Roaring Radcliff on your behalf after i saw your Penhaligons Portrait line up video and i gotta say it's actually very close to Tom Fords Tobacco Vanille which i enjoy a lot aswell.
All that being said, that's just my my 2 cents. I already enjoy your content Marcelo, not trying to push you to stuff you dont like doing. I followed you on instagram and will hit you up with a message, after you tried Tobacolor let me know what you think haha have a good one brother.

Off the cuff, Tobacco Sapphire is a masterpiece LOVE this one. Royal Tobacco is a powerhouse; instantly command the room.

Very good Video thank you!! just sold my (Roaring Radcliff Stake through Heart!!) was short on bills so was needed, how ever got two new Gems from Nabeel there still Niche Quality so I am not to heart broken (Nope I am very Heart Broken) it has helped soften the blow though check out Nabeels new Master Perfumer line there's two with another two coming soon but these two are worth every Penny and then some!

Hi wanted to ask if Fan your flames is as boozy as Baraonda?
Not in my opinion. I find that Baraonda strikes the perfect balance with that opening whiskey note, along with the honey and then introduction of the rose....but maintains that alcohol vibe.
Whereas Fan your flames that early coconut note lingers....taking away from the straight out boozinesss (still amazing, but now pushing in another direction)
However I recommend that you test on skin and experience what this is for you....good luck @chinnynwuba6264💫

Fiddah was a disappointment to me. Love multiple from that line, but Fiddah is soapy, flowery and just misses any grunt. Therefore surprised to see it here as a tobacco forward scent.
Interesting that you found this both soapy and flowery! I find this really dark, spicey, earthy…perfect as a unique tobacco.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector for example Sareef is way more darker and interesting to me. Seeing your response and earlier enthusiasm I’m doubting if my sample was ok. I just didn’t pick up any of the leather or tobacco edge.
