Molly & Alan are on the West Coast and headed to three of the most popular spots on property to see which ones are worth the high price tag and tough to get reservations. Join us for full reviews at Blue Bayou, Minnie's Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn, and Oga's Cantina to see which one you should (or shouldn't) book for your next trip!

I have a vivid memory of eating in the Blue Bayou restaurant with a group of friends when I was in high school, FIFTY-THREE YEARS AGO! (1971) Thanks for the trip down memory lane. It was a great reminder that I was not always old! 😅

A fun fact I learned about the Plaza Inn: when you enter, there’s a room to the left that has tons of windows and birdcages hanging about. Walt often had meals there with big groups of people. The flooring in that room (the linoleum) is the original flooring, meaning you could theoretically walk in Walt’s footsteps there!

Yes I agree. When I went to Disneyworld, the magic wasn’t there. It felt like it was just a regular theme park. But when at Disneyland, the vibe is completely changed. People going to Disneyland because it’s Disneyland. The magic is in the air.

Cafe Orleans has the monte cristo all day (they also have a three cheese version!), with the amazing pommes frites, and is an easier reservation than Blue Bayou. Although I probably shouldn’t be giving that away! Thanks as always for showing Disneyland so much love!

When visiting Disneyland for the first time, I truly felt Walt's legendary spirit seeing the bench where he was inspired to build a theme park, the Sleeping Beauty castle which he chose along with opening day rides which he took active involvement in. 💖🏰💖 When it comes to Restaurants in Disneyland, it was very difficult to get reservations at Blue Bayou so our "Celebration Dinner" was at Cafe Orleans - our whole party gave our dining experience a high ratings due to great service and the food being soo delicious!! A nice feature is that Cafe Orleans also features Prix Fixe Seasonal Meal offerings along with Cajun fare and since we were visiting close to Halloween, they had a Haunted Mansion Candle dessert which was soo cool and delectable too!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I’m taking so many notes for my disneyland trip at the end of the year 😂. The food alone at Plaza Inn intrigued me, but the character breakfast and the randomness of who you might meet sold me. Blue Bayou is a Disneyland classic of course, and Oga’s is always a vibe too.

We eat at the Plaza every time we visit. It’s good food at a reasonable price. Blue Bayou has a great atmosphere only if the tables are closer to the ride boats, the food is good but it’s expensive.

So happy to hear Magic Happens is Molly’s favorite parade, it’s mine too! Went to 3 in 2 days when it first came out :)
In the 60s & 70s I visited my grandma once a year and she took me to DL. I’d look at the Blue Bayou from the boat and couldn’t imagine how a person could be both fancy & lucky enough to eat there. Once I had kids of my own I took them once in a while (not near once a year, lol). Wish I could’ve taken my grandma…
The food has always been overpriced for what it is, but the nostalgia is worth it for me! Haven’t been for a bit, feeling ready for a return visit.

I’ve been to all the Disney parks across the world except for Shanghai but the US parks are my regulars. Whenever I walk into all the parks I just get so giddy with excitement. However, walking into Disneyland gives me a different feeling - one of “being home” and a “warm hug”. Also, the community and cast members there have always been such a standout for me. ❤

Please consider visiting the Catalina Island off the cost of California. It is a great location full of history, sights, and bites! See the flying fish, or zipline the famous tour they have. We LOVE the Blue Bayou! I've been eating there since my first visit in 1980 (Yes, I am old. I was 10), and I have been taking my son there since he was 2 1/2. We have never had the character dining at The Plaza, but the fried chicken is awesome! We usually go to Storytellers Café in the Grand Californian. I agree that Disneyland is the best. It's the first park I went to, and the only Disney park my son has been to, so it holds special memories for me. I even remember the ticket books and parking like right across the way from the entrance gates. If you plan on any more restaurants, try Storytellers Cafe or Lamplight Lounge- Boardwalk Dining. 😊

Another option for Blue Bayou-type food thats’s less expensive and easier to get into is Cafe Orleans. You can’t beat sitting in the bayou section of Pirates, but the food at Cafe Orleans is of similar quality and variety. I’ll agree that you should try to get a table at Blue Bayou at least once, but Cafe Orleans is an excellent alternative.

These videos are my favorite. It’s nice to know what places serve what for how much ahead of time. I’d probably skip the Blue Bayou since I’m not a big Cajun food person, the bread and the salad looked really good though. Most likely go for the Plaza Inn with all the characters, I like the food, like the buffet style. Then Oga’s Cantina for another time. I don’t drink at all so a lot of the menu is not for me but the Oga’s Obsession drink looked really good with the bobas and the dried fruit mix. I would MOST DEFINITELY try the Garlic Bread with the cheese (love me some good garlic bread) and the Focaccia bread with the cheese and the pickles and the pastrami. THOSE LOOK AMAZING. I wonder if I could make that bread at home 🤔. I’m not a bad cook, I just don’t make bread on the daily (or yearly). Mainly just banana bread and sometimes muffins. I might see if there’s a not too complicated recipe for the garlic bread at least. Focaccia sounds complicated already just by the name. I don’t know if my impatient chaos gremlin brain would cooperate long enough for that recipe.
If there’s more restaurants you think would be good to try in Disneyland then yeah, go for it. I don’t think I’ve seen a Worth It video in Disney California Adventure yet. So that would definitely be something I would like to see. Up to you peoples though, I’m just here for the ride.

It's a shame the menus aren't the same at both Oga's locations. In my opinion, the food offerings at FL Oga's are abysmal. Last time we were there we had the Happabore Sampler. It was some spam sticks, pre-pulled string cheese, pork cracklings, and shishito peppers. I'd try the CA Oga's, but I don't intend to go to the FL one during my next trip this summer.

That is a crazy amount of characters to navigate for a buffet! 😓 We did BB last year and it was neat, but the food was super average for the pricing. Another atmosphere only situation for Disney.

Love you guys and watch all of your videos.
We just went to Disneyland for the first time last week. Food was really good. Not better than DW just different. We love the food at both. I would love a SanFransokyo at DW ate the quasaburria twice. I also don’t get the churro hype good for theme park but not anywhere near a nomad lounge churro.
Unfortunately while it was neat to be in the original park there was zero magic for us. The staff was rude to apathetic. It was so bad we decided to not return on second half of day 4 and only for that amazing steak burrito in DCA on last day.
We were really disappointed we go to DW 3-5 times a year just for the bubble. No bubble at DL it just felt like a normal theme park with Micky laid over it.
    What did we miss?

Some people have Disney home parks? This and DCA are mine. FWIW the Prime Rib is pretty good!

I think you should do all Landrys restaurants and review them. Make sure to get a Landrys card if you do.

Where does one purchase the Blue Bayou champagne glass? Is it served as a drink?

Love your videos but can I send you some lens wipes? Seeing your smudged glasses drives and my OCD do not go together.

About the gumbo - before Tiana’s Palace opened, Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou served the same gumbo- now Blue Bayou still serves that gumbo, but the gumbo at Cafe Orleans lists a different gumbo, and Tiana’s Palace lists another different gumbo. 3 different gumbos in New Orleans Square! I’m hooked on the original (now only served at Blue Bayou). Have you had the new ones at Tiana’s Palace and Cafe Orleans and if so, what do you think of them?
