Maybe use tongs or a spoon that's what I do it's more hygienic in a bowl to mix everything together. Once its done then put it in the aluminum container to serve or take for a gathering. Or even a knife a cutting board and pour it right in not touch all the veggies it's just gross.
Easier to do build that pasta salad in a clear glass bowl then toss...cut the tomatoes in half and stop putting your hands all over the food each time you add something folks don't like seeing that I know I don't.
