Is their a way to duplicate a compound clip and not have it connected to the original compound clip? Example if I duplicate a compound clip but then change the video inside it will then change the original compound clip as well and I don't want it to do that. @@Brad_West
@@ChrisCoelho Yes, you can. You can select the compound clip (either in the browser or the timeline) and head over to the Clip menu and select "Reference New Parent Clip" Hope that helps 😄👍🏼
Nice! If you created a couple of different templates from your last few videos, you would have a bank of varied templates to choose from for future edits. That would be so handy! 😄👍🏼
I always have two versions installed: astable version (in this case 10.6.5) and the latest (10.6.8) because I like to use the newer versions for a few weeks/months before committing to using the latest version. Helps me to avoid buggy versions of FCP. You can do the same by zipping up the Final Cut Pro app before you update in the App Store.
Would you find your own custom editing templates useful for the kind of editing you do?
One of the best videos I've seen so far on FCP. I've subbed right away!
Thanks so much! I appreciate the support! Anything specific about this video that you found particularly helpful?
Excellent! I can't wait to try this out.
Hope you enjoy it!
This was great, already creating some templates will save an insane amount of time!
Great to hear Chris! Having your own templates will save you loads of time!

That was a good advice. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Seeing mVFX release a bunch of these templates, I had the same idea. Literally every one of my previous videos could be made into a template.

Is it possible to make a project
Final Cut Pro timeline
Do you mean like an editing template or a template for reusable assets?
@@Brad_West
This is exactly what I meant

Brad- which version of fcpx do you use?

Where to get the sound effects in this video (risers, whooshes, ..)
I get my sound effects from a variety of different places. Artlist, Envato Elements and sometimes even freesound.org
WHERE DID U GET MUSIC
The music in this video is from Artlist 😄👍🏼
$ick video style!
Thanks so much! Appreciate that 😄🙏🏼
No, because offloading the media and selecting the right bits takes hours
Depends what you're doing, but for simple, reusable promo type videos, this works like a charm.
Hello Brad! I just sent you an email about your services. Please reply at your earliest convenience. Thanks!
Hey! Just responded to your email 😄👊🏼
@@Brad_West Thank you! Just responded.
Argh, you didn't show the final result! 🙂
I showed the final result right at the beginning. Didn't want to bore people by showing the full 30 seconds again at the end 😄
Haha! Ok! I thought it was another one. Great video, as always! I've been learning so much from your videos. Thanks! @@Brad_West
Thanks for watching! I’m really happy to hear you’re enjoying the videos 😄🙌🏼
