I needed this video 3 weeks ago!! I’m still crying now. My hair and texture is just like yours, I just didn’t have the layers... My hair was butchered by a salon that supposedly specialized in curly cuts. I went in with nearly 20 inches of hair and now have about 5 and I can’t seem to get myself emotions together. She asked me to show her pics of my kids and when I looked up a foot of hair was gone from the back! I made her stop and left the salon. So people PLEASE pay close attention and make sure you’re getting what you want!
Wow, sorry to hear of your experience. May, I asked why did the stylist cut so much.
Pamela Walker I noticed that she had may non African American clients and I don’t think she was used to cutting my texture hair or dealing with coils and shrinkage. She was also distracted, as she was training students which kept interrupting her. She kept trying to fix it and the more she tried to fix it the worse it was until I stopped her. I had to cut more because the cut was so uneven and bad.
@@walklatan1014 I am crying for you. Wow, I still can't believe she cut that much off. She cut off 3 years of hair growth. That is emotionally scarred. I pray that you will find a hair stylist that knows how to trim texture hair if you decide to go back to a hair stylist. The stylist should had been up front that she did not have much experience in trimming texture hair.

I’m having so much trouble finding one in Lubbock TX! I’ve been burned 3 times already and I don’t want to be burned again! Can a Devacurl Certified Stylist use other brands besides Devacurl? Can I do a search for Curly hair salons in my area? What was that link again for them?
yep, there are plenty of DC certified stylists that use products other than DC! you can find a stylist in your area on their website
Luckily my mom has bounced around to different hair journeys so when I finally went natural I just used the girl who did her hair when she was natural lol

I have watched tons of your videos and of course I am a subscriber.. however your engagement is very poor with your subscribers. People are asking questions and i have yet to see you reply ! I totally agree with you, and have noticed the same. I really like her content, but subscriber engagement is important. My fav influencers tend to be the ladies with great info as well as engagement. A "like" or comment goes a long way.
Rachel M! I mean we all are busy but atleast reply to those who are asking a question or give a like. They always want you to subscribe to their channel and give thumbs up but her engagement with her subscribers are very poor! I am going to unsubcribe to her channel! People are asking questions and get no response. I love Bianca Rene, glamtwinz.. they are awesome! I am out of here! How busy can you be to atleast reply to 1 person who loves and listen to your videos! Gimme a break!! I am not a hater but just speaking my mind and I know many people have noticed not only me! I live in Chicago and go to Curls and Company. Each stylist have their portfolio on Instagram from the link shown on Curls and Company website. They have a link to Yelp for reviews. The website have the prices listed for all the services provided. Below is the link to Curls and Company website. My stylist is Bette Schwarz from Curls and Company. They also go by Callys Curls. I love Betty, when she see that I have breakage she recommend products to get the breakage under control, etc.

Had bad experiences using Deva Curl and Ouidad "certified to-be" stylists. Since the cut and style was free I put all of my money in hoping the person I got was good... 😭 I couldn't have been more wrong. Most of them are from thr Midwest and aren't familiar with most curly hair textures.
