Limacol CPLT20 Final 2014: Guyana Amazon Warriors V Barbados Tridents

Barbados Tridents (152-6) beat Guyana Amazon Warriors (107-4) by 8 runs via the Duckworth Lewis method. The Barbados Tridents have run out winners in the final of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League in a rain affected match against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The Tridents batted first and set a target of 153 to win thanks to half centuries from Dwayne Smith and Shoaib Malik. A tight finish was in prospect, but a third interruption for rain meant that it was impossible to play the game to a conclusion. When the final rain delay came, the Tridents were eight runs ahead on the Duckworth Lewis calculations and were declared this year’s champions.

I am still wondering who calculated the D/L, not an expert at it but everytime I recalculated it, i got at 15.5 overs and 4 wickets down Guyana needed 108 to win... Even the online calculators proved that... Also there was a 20-30 mins delay after the stumps were set up and play was ready to start and then Barbados were declared "champions", that game really needs a review.. having 2/3 Officials being Barbadians wasn't exactly fair to the Warriors in a Final especially...

Unfair on Guyana, would've said that perhaps Barbados deserved to win on D/L if that catch by Reifer was legitimate and given out but imo Guyana were slight favourites from that position being only 4 down. That appeal on 3.24 though

Cricket has many different rules. Guyana deserved to win but in the end it showed why Cricket is a very interesting sport, dl method is a rule and the could have better their chances in 2019
