I recently took a trip up north to visit RUclipsrs: Joe Robinet Bushcraft, Doug Outside and My Self Reliance. We did 3 nights camping and canoeing along the French River. It was a great trip which had a bit of everything, hunting, fishing, bushcraft, canoeing, and camp cooking.

RUclips has been such a huge part of life, including the friends i have made on it. I hope to pay these 3 a visit again somtime soon.

I've re-watched this video 6-7 times now, and each time I find myself grinning or laughing at something new. There's amazing videography, editing, and sound editing/quality that's all coupled with a fantastic personality that'll keep you coming back for more!! You're da man, Mr. O!
On a side note: the tent, albeit of great quality and durability, is heavy (7.8125 lbs) *if* you're considering a backpacking trip. IMO, the Eureka Timberline 2 is *perfect* for a canoe or stationary multi-overnight (car-camping) trip. The Big Agnes FlyCreek HV UL1 (2.1 lbs) is great if you're mobile and counting every ounce, however it's a few ducats more.

I know this is off topic, but you've been on my mind a lot lately, and I have never even met you, but something in my gut tells me to reach out... Time for you to come back. Shed whatever has you held back from enjoying yourself. You remind me so much of one of my best friends in school, identical personalities. I would hate to see him down, same goes for you. If something or someone has you bummed out, or doubting yourself, take a deep breath and imagine it isn't there, you'll feel it physically. Nobody can take away your happiness, goals, or dreams, you have to be willing to give them up and you don't strike me as the type of guy that doesn't want to be happy.

‘You couldn’t ask for a better group to go out with.... ‘ well said. The 4 of you together, the different angels, the perspectives... for some of us, that comradely makes us wish for the friendships you have. You 4 together are a force. Well played. We all know you are in Algonquin so slay us with the good stuff. ( by-the-way... I’m a retired photojournalist and your photography is the best.... you have the eye). I look forward to watching all your uploads as I am a late comer via Joe and Doug and Shawn. You have the ‘evil’ eye, my friend, and that is only god given. Best wishes

Just watched all 4 vids of this trip. What an amazing trip. Enjoyed seeing the different perspectives from each video. I have to say that the views, and angles you catch and deliver in your editing are amazing. You have a real talent for catching the details, the mood of the places you go. The combination of music with editing really helps one to feel what it was like to be there. Thanks for taking us along. For me, I can't get out and do something like this, so it's really special to be able to see it through your videos.

Amazing, trip of a lifetime. Glad you made it up to the northern lands. In my neck of the woods we call pike northern, still remember my first one. Summer is just ending and I'm already itching to get out and make some memories. Thanks for the great video and sharing your adventure. Take it easy man.

Hey there was a Southpaw Paw on that canoe at the beginning!! LOL That is my dream trip to go up there and do exactly what you did. I have had duck and goose many many times! Caught a lot of walleye and pike too. But to do it up there would be amazing! thank you for sharing your trip!

I know you don't taught yourself as an expert and I love that about your channel, I have just noticed that you surround yourself with some of the best in the RUclips survival business. If you aren't and expert in a few years I don't know what is wrong.. I loved seeing you teach fire starting to your friends you took to WV, so I know you have the bug!!
