  • Babolat Pure Aero 2019 Tennis Racket Review by Top Tennis Training.
    In this video Top Tennis Training coaches Simon Konov and Alex Slabinsky review in depth the Babolat Pure Aero tennis racket.
    This racket is incredibly powerful and gives very high levels of spin yet has very good control. A great tennis racket for baseline players who play with aggressive topspin and for big servers who want more pop on their serve.
    For more information on the racquet check out this link - www.prodirectt...

    I've noticed the Wilson Burn and the Babolat pure aero are very similar ackets from the two makes, with similar features. Would u be able to make a comparison of both rackets in one video , as to what's better for want ( I.e control ,power, feel ) and then give it overall verdict on what racket u would recommend that would suit for various playing styles. Thanks

      I have played with the pure drive for 4 years. Had no issue. Just got the pure aero and playing with it for the last 2 weeks. Didnt think it was possible but its better. More flexible, forgiving and dangerous in more departments of the game. Hope this helps 🎾

    Good review but specs of racquet help the viewer. I assume this is a standard Pure Aero 98”? I got the ‘19 Pure Aero VS and throughly enjoy it and its not too stiff like some complain.

    Thanks for the review! Amazing video as always! One question... do you recommend this racket to a begginer/intermediary player? I'm playing with an old Babolat Drive NS, but I feel that the ball runs out of control way too easy, if I don't put the exact right amount of spin, the balls goes off court on the baseline...
    What do you think about it? Which one do you recommend me? (Price is not a problem right now).
    Thank you very much!

    I think I made a huge mistake by buying the 2016 version.
    By the sounds of it, the 2019 upgrade is just better overall in all departments.
    Only reason I bought the 2016 version is because it had a big discount on Tennis Warehouse.

    Fantastic video!
    I'm a big fan of the Babolat AeroPro Drive Original, the first version of them all (2004/2005 version). Actually, it has been my racket of choice for many years. However, i have never liked the following versions of the Babolat Aero Pro Drive rackets. I don't like the Cortex, they feel too stiff, and the balance and maneuverability of the new versions always feel really different to the original one. The original is more versatile and allows you to hit both heavy top spin shots and very flat shots easily. This is not possible in all the following models, and you always have to hit with topspin and wrist rotation. Is this new model more versatile and better on flat shots? Thank you in advance!

      You need to test out both, I can't say one is better than the other for your game, nobody can do that. The only way you'll find out is by testing out both.
      Having hit with both, I much prefer the Pure Aero. The Head frame didn't feel solid at contact for me. But once again you need to test out both. You might prefer the head.

    Happy holidays guys, what tension and what kind of string do you recommend for a person who has a pure strike and gets injured very commonly in his tennis arm? That person would be me 👍🏼 Also is there anyway to change serve or ground stories to go easier on wrist, elbow and shoulder? P.S. I use a pure strike, is the racquet a possible factor? I use a poly blend.
    Best regards from someone your videos has helped much,
    K.B.

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  5 лет назад +1

      My recommendation would be to test out a few different frames and see if you still have those issues.
      If yes then maybe it's your technique that's causing the injuries.
      You need to pinpoint exactly what is causing the injuries so you can eradicate it, no good playing tennis and getting injured all the time.
      Good luck on the journey.

    • @j-ffortin5404
      @j-ffortin5404 4 года назад +3

      If you don't mind me chiming in on your question, I had both the Pure strike 16X19 and the Pure Aero. I also tried a Pure strike 18X20 during the same week of demos. The Pure strike 18X20 was great for control of my hard flat forehands and two handed backhanded however I had to generate my own power... Not a power racquet at all! Great for controlling exactly where you want the ball to go but when you are used to shots landing deep and all of a sudden they are landing short no matter how hard you swing it's discouraging. The 16X19 Pure Strike had more power and more spin and a bit less control but I found I had to really hit the sweet spot every time for results. Obviously both great racquets but as someone who has always played an aggressive baseline game with Head Radical line racquets for 12 years, the Pure Strikes lacked the power I am used to. Most of my shots are flat and hard with not too much spin, especially on the forehand side so I was actually scared to try the Pure Aero as spin isn't really a big part of my game. Ever have one of those life changing moments? I immediately fell in love with the Pure Aero in every way. I was actually sad I hadn't given it a try earlier in my tennis career. I was cranking forehands and backhands with ease and so much power that my usual tennis partners could barely handle my shots. It felt amazingly comfortable and I have to say it felt different than any racquet I ever played with and so modern. My serve improved speed as did my returns (my strength) and I felt I couldn't miss and if I did it was by half inches. The other thing to consider, if you choose the Pure Strike, be ready for elbow pain and shouder pain. The maneuverability isn't great and my elbow hurt for weeks. Unless you are very advanced or a serve and volleyer, I wouldn't recommend the Pure strike. I actually ditched my Head Radicals and got 6 Pure Aero racquets and I've never been happier. Some of the shots I am now coming up with actually put a smile on my face. It's fun, feels very comfortable and power and spin come easily and naturally. I strung one over mid for control and again, game changer racquet. The pure strike looks great but it doesn't play the way you assume it will by first glance. It's a big boy racquet and you best be ready to hit full power on every shot but then you need physio for your arms and elbows. Pure Aero all the way!!!

      The Babolat is much more of a power racket, gives extra spin to your shots. The pro staff is more of a control and feel type of racket.
      Pure Aero would suit a player who plays with aggressive topspin, whereas the Pro Staff would suit a player who likes to hit the ball flatter and come into net more often.

    In my opinion the powerful racket needs less effort so it's arm friendly.

    • @TopTennisTrainingOfficial
      @TopTennisTrainingOfficial  5 лет назад +6

      Having played with the older versions, I can say this new one has much better control. You feel the ball more on the strings. The older versions for me were a bit too powerful with very little control. They've created a really great racket here. The only downside for me was when I was hitting volleys. Didn't like the feel I got up at net.
