I have the same truck which I haven’t driven in 5 years. It’s just sitting in my garage next to my Ram 3500 DRW. Both of my trucks are diesel engines. I bought a single axle semi truck so that’s what I use to pull now. Great to use 30% of my power rather than 70 or 80%. Plus I have some better braking abilities with the semi. Great video, glad you’re all ok.
Highway tires are not made to go in that sticky snow ice mess. Should’ve pulled over and set up camp long ago. I think you had the kid in the back. Thankfully you didn’t do a header into the rig. Power doesn’t matter when you have no grip. I wouldn’t trust those tires in the rain. If they are rated for 90k mileage then they are too hard of a compound. Great for a fedex truck.
450! That’s what I’m talking about! Glad you guys are drowning in cash - and I MEAN that. Towing with the wrong vehicle is dangerous as heck. I wish I had a 450… I’m worried about my payload on a 350, but y’all got no issues there! SO GLAD to see these follow-up vids. All’s well as ends well.
Thank you for that feedback! I’ve been slacking on making a making a new video. Here’s some insider info though, we did get our trailer back. Finally! I’ll have a video up about the trailer by the end of the year. Happy Holidays!
That's what happens when ur doing 45 50 down a mountain when it's snowing goes to show u 1 don't no how to drive in the snow 2 u don't no how to drive on a snow covered road towing a trailer n 3 u just can't tow a trailer.... ur crying about having to fight with the shop n all that hell u should have paid 4 it all out of pocket cuz with watching the video of the wreck it's plain as day that it was ur fault the weather had nothing to do with u were go way to damn fast going down hill
Abandoning the life after and incident like that happens a lot. Same with a lot of people and motorcycles. First time they are nearly killed in a motorcycle crash, they sell the motorcycle and say, f*** that crap. lolol
I just saw the video, I drove those mountains snow and ice and all and very glad y’all r okay and back at it living, can’t wait to get out there myself, keep living brotha and stay safe
The original crash video was just placed in my recommendations so i decided to stop by. So this is it? Being a YT creator is harder than one would believe. Regardless, glad everything appears to have worked out for you.
Nice truck sure looks like your box is closer to the cab in the driver side than passenger side hard to tell in the video but might want to check that out could be just a box adjustment
Good to hear you got the trailer back and are back using it. 😄 Trailers wear out when not used! Yes I would be reading the fine print as well to be sure the new insurance company are doing the right thing by you. But I'm sure you have that under control. I would be very interested to know approximately how much the truck cost you, considering you got it secondhand. And may I say it looks just like new. You did very well getting it. US$ is fine. I will convert to $AU. It is December 22 now and I will be on the road myself in a year with a 37ft 5th wheeler. It will take that long to get my trailer built. However, my tow rig is old but very sound. But I wondered on the cost of yours. I would have to import one to AU as they don't sell the 450 here to my knowledge. Sometimes the cost is comparable. Lefthand drive does not phase me and is now permitted here for everyday driving. Conversion to righthand drive is price prohibitive, though. Cheers
Hi dude first I don’t understand how can people be happy for others success in life I said don’t let the bad comments get to you also do you ever got the trailer back I been waiting long time for that video?
You'll keep wiping out with street tires on your truck. Putting real traction tires on . Less ditch time. Live in iowa and never run off the road. Even with stock trailer full of 1800lb bulls. Traction is everything. But hey . I. Not the one going In the ditches.
It was National General at the time of the accident. We’ve since switched to Liberty Mutual. They let you customize your insurance so you only pay for what you need. 😂
@adventuredotlife why not just agree that you underestimated the weather and your capabilities. It's OK we all have had a mistake. If you have a channel be prepared for the bull$×!+. Don't forget you can loose everything you had all in an instance. Be better . Nice rig .
At least he got lucky they never got killed or anyone maybe how to pull a trailer course would be beneficial pretty much did everything wrong next time spike your trailer brake and keep your foot of the brake on your truck till you straighten the rig out

I just binge watched all your videos. Please update us on how things are going! So interesting watching your journey through all of this.

@@adventuredotlife to you as well! Looking forward to the vids!

Classic example of not enough truck in front of the trailer, driving too fast for conditions and probably summer tires.
I just found this channel and judging by the year plus since your last upload, I have to assume you abandoned RV'ng...
Thanks for your comment. We haven’t abandoned RV’ing. We’re just not full time anymore. I plan to make make an update video soon so stay tuned.

I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you guys, that is so tragic after everything you guys just went through. 😥
This is really good to see.
If you can afford that big truck and Big rv I say you should go get a big RV like a small bus, van or class C ,,,, towing is dangerous….
Lessons learned read the polices look for used parts to repair damage.
Good to hear you got the trailer back and are back using it. 😄 Trailers wear out when not used!

Awesome
I'm very pleased to have found your channell.
How come no update for two years? Not even a closing video. It would be good to give everyone an update even though it’s been two years.
Updates now please
Glad to see you finally getting your truck back. Do you expect for your insurance to cancel you after the trailer gets done ?
I cancelled them because they raised my rates substantially. I went with Liberty Mutual and am paying less then I was before the accident.
@@adventuredotlife WOW!
Sorry, you cannot get the F450 in single rear wheel, you can get an F350 in single rear wheel but not the F450.

Did y’all see the wreck? There’s no way the frames and axles are tweaked
Your tow vehicle is bigger then our entire RV.
They did not replace your tonneau cover?

No more uploads?
I’ve neglected the channel for a while. We did get our RV back and have been using it. I hope to make a video about it soon.
Who is your insurance carrier?
It was National General at the time of the accident. We’ve since switched to Liberty Mutual. They let you customize your insurance so you only pay for what you need. 😂
Why didn’t you just get a brand new one?
Why is this the last video posted?
He probably wrecked again. Lol
Privileged Americans with too much cash, you don't need all this stuff to be a nomad.
Little man big truck, no wonder you crashed
Great logic. Sorry you don’t have a truck this nice.
@@adventuredotlife Hahaha ☺ 👍
