I do like Barrowford....it has a Booth's supermarket for starters! Often though I tend to just pass through on my way to the Dales. I visited the Heritage Centre in the early 2000s and don't remember it being as nice as it looked in your film Shanita. Perhaps I need to go again. Hope you and Michael are well.
Hi Chris. Thanks for comments. I know about the Booths supermarket. Have been there a few times. We haven't been too good with sickness virus going round but on the road to recovery now. Hope you and family keeping well. All the best.
That was a great walk Shanita, a bit of everything in it as Michael was saying. I've heard of Blacko Tower but not familiar with the other places you visited. I was smiling to myself when you were reading out the privy by any other name sign 😁 Nice piece of music again in "Casual Encounter". I think when you had your tea at the end, that's the first time I've seen Michael without a hat. All the best 👍
Yes. Michael looks different without his hat - you could say that's his relaxing pose.😊Totally unexpected reading down to that particular privy word which didn't read out loud. Nice to know the easy walks can be enjoyed as much as the more challenging walks. Also a change for me to use my more upbeat tracks to suit mood of walks (e.g. 'Casual Encounter'). Thanks so much for your comments Patrick enjoy your weekend.
Did you make a wish in the fairy stream?...the walled garden looks wonderful...Loved all the names for the Privvy, even the rude ones..ha ha..A friend once told me that he knew of a Blackbird that lived in a churchyard and it used to Sing "here comes the bride"...i think he may have been pulling my leg...A real interesting route, enjoyed it.
Hi Steven. Really glad you enjoyed the walled garden, not to mention the choice of privy names. I think you're right about that blackbird song lyrics. Not heard of that one before - always something new.😀😊 p.s. No. Afraid to say I didn't make a wish - 🙂
What a lovely walk, full of interest, we are definitely going to do that one, but not parking at the heritage centre, that is expensive. Nicely put together video Shanita with another pleasant piece of music "Casual Encounter". Did you use a little wireless mic when you were sat chatting?
Spot on Steve. Afraid it was only a cheap wifi mic, hence a bit distorted but always trying out something new. As far as parking charges, we always park on the road these days, but used to be free. Thanks Steve.
