I was lucky enough to get to drive one of these for a full week! It was a loaner car while mine was in the shop. My heart actually sank when I got the call that my car was ready to be picked up. 💔
It might be time for Mercedes to upgraded the GLS450 to a GLS500 with the 429hp I6. If there is a re-design of this (ICE) vehicle, it is time for it to move away from it's bigger GLE design format, it needs to be different inside from the GLE. It needs to mirror the S sedan, not just be a bigger GLE.
I almost thought this SUV was going to cost about $120k or $130k but hmm 94k isnt that bad I guess considering your getting a lot for an SUV and the luxury so forth. Great review.
@Oliver Liu Okay I guess don't know much about 450 or the line all I see is your getting a lot more for that money. You can think whatever you want that's just my saying on this SUV okay.
@@Bigoliver101 Well just because you wanna be smart ass and make fun of me doesn't give you the right to tell me otherwise!!!! You can go ahead stick to your opinions and shut up!!!!!
For those of you that drive these kind of cars, at what point is it diminishing returns for the price? I drive a 2021 VW Atlas SEL, which I like, but lease is coming up and I’m considering a GLS. Realistically it’s going to cost nearly twice as much ($55k-ish for Atlas, $95k for GLS), but I’m wondering what I’m going to get for that extra $40k and if it’s worth it.
Good point! You can buy a used GLS that will cost less. The 2021 version looks nice. Even the 2020 version is not that off from this one. It's like buying a phone. Many companies will make them crazy expensive and then depreciation kicks in.
This is not for everyone. There are much cheaper vehicles that will give you a fully loaded experience. This vehicle is not purely utility; it’s a luxury item.

I’m under the impression that safety systems such as adaptive cruise, lane departure, emergency breaking, etc are optional in the GLS. Is that true?
This will be my everyday vehicle now Ben.

Hey Ben. Thanks for the video. Looking to get a 2021/22 full options - any advice?
The AMG GLS 63 is the model below the Maybach and the model above the GLS 450. Sweet spot!

The GLS Maybach is the highest quality and cost.

That’s a question for the dealership
Now I realized how new BMW X7 is better than this. X7 wins for this segment.
Still missing their V8 from the 550 GLS.
Hp was 500 or higher. The vets and mustangs were always surprised!!
What a beautiful SUV 😍🔥

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS450 4MATIC AMG Line!
😍
BMW X7 is much nicer and you can get a 4.4L twin turbo
You do realize there is a GLS 580 V8 right?

Slow down when talking.
Unreal how overpriced these things are 🙄
They want it to be prestigious to where most can’t afford it
