@@cuSTEMJourneysThanks for sharing this. I have taken a few steps to transition into a sys admin and came across YellowTail, which looks really interesting. Could you provide the total cost of the program? I can make the time investment but want to make sure I can financially too.
Yes he is totally right, I went to a bootcamp, it was for 2 months and out of 22 students, only 3 actually got developer jobs and other 7 went back to their old company and everyone else like me never got hired at all, so I had to go to a school that actually gives an internship at the end, the only thing is this computer and networks course is for 14 months + 2 months for internship = 16 in total. And the salary for most people who graduated gets started with 30k but after internship it’s 50k to 65k. So if I had to do it again, I would put look for school with internships before a bootcamp otherwise anytime you apply to somewhere the hiring managers will send you a reply saying “We are looking for people with experience” so you end up not finding a job
I have an intro call with an advisor today. I, too, am a Medical Assistant that was thinking of going back to school to go for RN, but this interview and Anythony Burton's interview totally resonates with me and inspires me to pursue this career.
I'm glad you found it helpful Franchesca! I hope your YTT program is off to a great start. Let me know when you graduate, I'd love to hear about your experience
I'm happy for the brother. So many opportunities out there in tech to make 100k + but it does take a lot of hard work and dedication. Linux is used on most major platforms for mobile phones to O/S's to smart cars and virtually everything.
Right now it's just for Linux and AWS. I know a few people who took a CyberSecurity bootcamp through a local college... Im actually looking into learning on FreeCodeCamp.org. I'll let you know how it goes
I mean most Cyber Security Professionals comes from a Sysadmin or Network Engineer back which is often the stepping stone into Cyber Security given that Cyber Security is not entry level. Linux and Networking is heavily used in the Cyber Security space.
Guys unfortunately for me Yellow Tail Tech sent me a mail that the program is currently for only people leaving in the USA. Can someone help me get a better institution like Yellow Tech to study Linux Administration online.i am currently leaving in the Netherlands in Europe.
This is probably the most beneficial information for young people out there. The money you can make from simply understanding linux is crazy.
I start April 23rd I can’t wait to change my life
🚀 let’s go! Congrats, looking forward to hearing about your tech journey. Go get it!
@@cuSTEMJourneys I’m going to definitely check back in once I’m done

@@Keyz424 congrats on starting! I'm thinking about starting in 2 weeks but was wondering how it's going for you?

Really enjoyed the podcast! 👍🏾Just had a lengthy call with Yellow Tail and am curious if this route is practical towards a role in Cybersecurity?

RN's make roughly the same amount of Money if You go to school for Nurse Practioner..AI is trying to replace tech jobs.
Can you do this if you are a felon?
Hey Tony, I believe so. I don’t know of any requirements that prevent you from doing it, but I’d reach out to them to confirm
yes you can bro
how indians join this program
