Here is the new WR: • Jazz Jackrabbit 2 E1-4...
I no longer speedrun this game, or any game. I quit the speedrunning scene not long after AGDQ, because it was a big cancerous mess and I truthfully don't find it fun anymore. Go watch talented runners break this game.

these 90s 2d games are prety awesome still play. music is so dope and simply fun to play. one must fall, keens, marios, hoccus poccus, sam and max hit the road, dooms, quakes, torins passage, red aler1, rayman, slicksNslide, rallysport, deluxe skijump, lion king, armageddon, NHL 94, Driver, gta2, Leisure suit larrys, commandos, monkey islands, day of the tentacle, street rod1,2 and stunts and other games I have been forgotten. :)

I know I've pretty much not interacted with this channel in about a year and a half, but I just thought I'd point this out:

BinaryBlob has appeared recently and has been giving this game a massive ass blasting. His runs are god-tier in comparison to this and he has been putting more work into this game than I have. He has also done work on Jazz, getting 20:33 and still working on improving it even further. Go give him some love.

Really good run ! I'm trying to speedrun the game myself (the first two episodes for now) but i constantly have issues with stack overflow errors and the game crashing. Do you know what causes that and how to avoid it ?
I'm on the 1.23 patch but i tried without and on the JJ2+ version aswell and there are still a lot of crashes.

Yes. It was 11 years ago but I still remember. I was 3-4 years old. Me and my older brother were collecting all ammo just to try to kill it. It was impossible and we didn't know about cheat codes.

I tried to speedrun my first game today, and it was JJ2, got 1h 44m. I would be sub 1h if not for the bosses - hopw do you kill them so fast? I spent 35 minutes on last boss ;_;
Nice run! Is there any way i can contact you? I am personally not a speedrunner but i do know a lot about the game. I have 4 skips in the game that might lead to a sub-21 minute time.

How'd you prevent the final boss from transforming?
kill him using the bottom propelling thing or the side dash thing and he ends up with 0 hp as a dragon

how do you get rid of the water in the underwater level? couldn't believe you could even beat it that way!
Really late to reply, but you just hold on jump before the level starts then press right. Or you can doublejump at the beginning. The level creator forgot to put a water spawn event at the top, that's why. I highly recommend you check out the new runs over at www.speedrun.com/jj2 for much more up to date records and active runners! The current WR for this category is 17:48...we've come a long way!

well done lad! I am from eastern europe and I would never have thought some random scottish bloke (presuming) would be WR-ing my top childhood game.
why was there no waster in the beach II? or what are those pills he is talking about?
I guess my ansver is really not actual. No matter what there is a glitch: if you hold jump while finishing beach 1 and going into beach 2 the game will think you jump from the invisible platform of the animation which is between levels, and at the start of the map you will jump in air. With this jump you can avoid the trigger which activates the water

Do you know the blue fire glitch. In jazz jackrabbit sercet files this weapon can kill any boss in just one shot!

@@markoadam6619 I don't remember well but there is a weapon which looks like blue fire and is probably an upgraded version of roaster. I remember it killed the turtle in one shot. But that was when I played JJ2secret files in the year 2015
