I'd definitely put mentions in the past episodes about that it's cancelled or atleast in the last episode you uploaded so it stops the flood of comments asking for more that won't see this video. Sorry that it ended up exploding but glad you're still able to enjoy FFXIv for what little dawntrail has to offer (7.1 is in fuckin' november???)

Yeah I did this for the first two and a half years. Made it as far as the end of stomeblood before it started getting simply too difficult for me. Good luck on beating that record of mine! 👍

back in 3.0 (heavensward) I thought of doing both a 1st person challenge, and then "my whole team, including me, do all dungeons with the UI turned off" but as the years have gone by, and i slowly got ppl whod agree to do all the dungeons w/o the UI, the game grew easier, and too much of the challenge was removed. tanking w/o seeing threat is now a joke, and u can infinitely spam AoEs. No longer did u have to worry about running out of MP or TP. Most DPS have simplified rotations, that they could still do good enough to beat DPS checks by only doing half their normal DPS. And healers dont have to worry about running out of resources nearly as much as they did in the past. (and no cleric stance lol) its unfortunate, I was really training up for it.

Given that Roes are the least represented race in the narrative and in the player base, ESPECIALLY male roes, I fully support sticking with Roe as is. (Big boys needs some love too.) A lot of the screaming mob for changing to lalafell tends to be the same very vocal group antagonizing every lp, streamer, etc. to play one to appease that selfsame group.

I really didnt think about lala vs roe in a mechanicall point of view, just what would be the mroe funny/meme-y and like, Big Roe are basically always a meme, live your best life friend, stay fun.

Honestly, the only horror thing about aurum vale is the first room. If you know how to handle it it's tedious and "stressful", if anyone doesn't know how to do it it can turn into a nightmare. The bosses are easy, every other room are easy to pull. But that one room and just the experience of discovering the stacks for the first time combined by doing this dungeon way too often soured it.

The only thing im taking away from this is that I'm not the only one to be unable to orient myself in camp drybone. I feel validated.

I like your reasoning for Roe vs Lala, I play a lalafell and would love to see you as a lalafell, this challenge seems fun to do and I did something similar to this as a gnome in wow. So I would like to see lala!! But will watch as either race really

I tried to live stream and do the entire MSQ in first person, it's not as bad as you might think initially. I only got to the three intro dungeons though so I imagine it gets crazy at higher level.

You running away after titan reminded me of the time I was leaving that fight on a character and got one shot by the tonberry hunt rank who was hiding just outside the cave waiting to ambush me.

Fun fact.... I do believe your position on the ground doesn't update when you're in the air for a jump. So if you jump out of an aoe you're more likely to get caught in it as your position isn't updated until you land.

This is wild! Luckily you did dragoon after the rework where jump was slow and moved you back and forth. (High jump did the same but faster) I miss how janky old jump/high jump used to be, but it's nice to avoid huge animation locks and deaths now
