Used to play this for years when visiting my grandma. She passed away recently and I really want to play these games again. She used to surprise me with a new Jackrabbit game when it came out. God the nostalgia.
The GBA version of the game looks so divorced from all other versions that it seems the publisher ordered the developers: make a game where the main character is a green rabbit, and the enemies are turtles. At the same time, the publisher forgot to show the developers old games or at least hint at the dynamics of the Sonic game.
I remember there being a cutscene in which jazz (i think) digging its grave and falling in it or something and i cant seem to find it. Am i crazy, or does anyone remember that too?
@@Isaac-gh5ku It sadly played like garbage as well. It was an unfortunate victim of the 3D craze of the late 90s and early 2000s where every game series had to make the jump to 3D or fail. This one failed.

IMO Jazz Jackrabbit series is the No.1 in 2D generation games (sorry Mario, GTA 1 and 2, and more...)

What do you mean thankfully? With some fine tuning it could've been great.
If it's because the graphics looks ugly, that's because the game is not finished. Heard that it was 50% or so completed before the cancelation.
