As for Kittl, I absolutely LOVE it, couldn’t do without, because I don’t have a graphic design background at all. Definitely a great tool to learn and help you develop design skills. Oh, and that new copilot sounds fascinating, definitely gonna try that out.

I really like this video with one of THE POD teachers and experts to go to, if you want to learn how to do it. I‘m a beginner in the whole thing, in tier 10 on MBA (one sale missing to reach the magic threshold to the next) and I have a shop on spreadshirt (Germany), which is pretty useless and I might kill it anytime soon. Not worth the hassle. MBA though is a different story, I want to get to the point where I can make a few 100 bucks a month, I have a full time self-employed job in a totally different field and I kind of stumbled over POD here on youtube and got hooked. So I decided to start a side hustle. I think by now I got it that I don’t necessarily should make designs that I like but the whole process of niche research to design things other people like 😅 typical beginner’s mistake. But I have lots of ideas and I enjoy the design part of the whole thing most.

Damn, thought that was Phillip at first and was amazed at how a full on beard changed his appearance.

I like these talks, I am just starting and trying to come up with a product line but can not make myself sell teeshirts. I just won't do it. There has to be better products to sell.

There are many different products you can design and sell for. Consider picking one you are passionate about!

I’m NEVER going to design lowest common denominator stuff for suburban wine moms. The problem is then how do you generate your own traffic? Because Etsy is all suburban Wine moms

The guys struggled to express this… but it’s design snobbery. 🍾 You summed it up perfectly… I have the same bias (with a BA in graphic design and many years as a pro designer) but it’s probably a handicap if anything. 😊

This will truly depend on target audiences. There are more than just one audience on Etsy, as many people go there for gifts, for example, but they all aren't always looking for the same thing.
