A week into COVID lockdown, some friends and I made a book club because most of us spent so much time studying in college, we hadn’t really read since high school. The first book we picked was a Kiss of Deception because it seemed liked your average YA fantasy/romance that we used to read. And that’s exactly what it was-average. Despite the let down, the book club got me back into reading so I give it 5 stars for kicking off my adult reading journey!

Honestly during the school year I read less and am therefore less interested in book / reading videos but still want to watch my favorite youtubers. I would love if you did more home decor / house / lifestyle content like you were mentioning!

How do you balance what about reading you share in weekly vlogs and what in secret TBR vlogs? That's always a hard balance for me, personally
the secret TBR vids are typically planned pretty far in advance and i have separate lil checklists for those. my general rule of thumb is to read stuff i physically own but don't have a plan for in these weekly vlogs!
I would just want to say I really love these vlogs. I'm nosy and have a pretty boring life in my opinion so I always like getting a peak in to other peoples lives and honestly I haven't really been watching your other videos because I feel its rare to hear to like a book you've read which is fine like thats your preference but its just refreshing seeing you talk and do things you like. Sorry for rambling I just wanted to let you know I really like these vlogs just inc case you were wondering if people liked these or not or whatever. Also I really like when Haden speaks in the vlogs. The way he talks about things is so like in depth its really nice seeing the contrast between you two when you talk. I would not be mad if he took over the vlogs sometimes lol

Felt the exact same way about dont kiss the bride. At one point a side character lays out exactly why the two shouldn’t be together and I was like… wow she’s right. It gave me too many reasons to not believe in them

I’m personally not into age gap romances, but whatever floats peoples’ boats… but an 18 year old heroine who’s extremely vulnerable being married by a 30 year old to “save her”? Nope. Ick.
Felt very much the same about Kiss of Deception but I did read the whole trilogy earlier this year. The second book was definitely the best. I thought they were headed in a different, interesting direction for the third book and when they didn’t I found the ending pretty disappointing.
FYI the founder of Crumbl cookies copied the idea from somebody else and yet he sues anybody who comes close to doing anything similar to what they do, to try to eliminate any competition.

I recommended sea of ruin in one of your older vids based on a comment u had made abt another book n I hope you'll like it! I liked a lot of things about it except one major incident but more importantly the aftermath of that n how poorly the author wrote that. such a bummer b/ otherwise it was v v good imo.
I have problems with grinding my teeth too, what does the Botox do to help with this?
it will depend what is causing your grinding and where it originates. but botox paralyzes the muscles in your jaw so that your clenching is lessened. it doesn't cause any issues with chewing or anything, i just wake up with fewer tension headaches :)

I had the exact same thoughts on Don't Kiss The Bride. The hero just sounded weird and creepy to me. I love age gaps but because the heroine was reliant on the hero even before they got married she had no agency and it didn't feel romantic to me. Sea of Ruin didn't work for me, there was way too much sexual assault and it felt unnecessary. The heroine had no time to heal physically or emotionally.

Since we’re all friends here I’ll share my crazy week. You may think I’m lying because who has this much sht happen in a week? Well I promise I’m not lying lol. First my dad was missing for more than a week, (thankfully found him safe) the day after we found him I get a call saying the woman who lives in the apartment below mine has bed bugs and I checked and found just one random one in my bed and killed it and have been treating it for bed bugs, no pest control in the area is avail for 2 weeks, first they told us they’d be here yesterday, wait for hours no show, again today and no show. So 2 weeks. have to pack up everything we own and put it by our doors so they can sanitize everything we have they said. Then I got diagnosed with a lot of new things after getting an MRI on my neck Friday.:
*Spinal stenosis, degenerative arthritis/spondylosis, bone spurs, degeneration and enlargement of the facet joints (hypertrophy), every disc in neck is a bulging disc, degeneration of the cartilage at the joints* phew. (I have had severe chronic pain for 8 years since I was 20 years old so I figured I had this so it’s good to have an answer at least, but sucks that it will get worse over time sadly(
