yeah, nobody up the alteration tree perk. I discovered it in my last gameplay when I made a set focused on magicka regeneration and magicka pool just to use detect life in Solitude and level the alteration tree really fast

Kahvozeins Fang, as a quest item, won't be removed even when you are in quests that remove all items from you. Which basically means you can glitch yourself this weapon into the thalmor embassy, the markarth mines and even Pelagius' mind. This can glitch some things though.
Yeah I originally came across it by accident tomb raiding, realized I couldn't drop it or get rid of it so I looked up what it was for... I was probably only lvl 30 in Alteration at the time so it was a big "oh well" for me, least you can make some money with it. - if I'm not mistaken heartscales count as part of the quest too so they don't add any carry weight picking them up.
I'm actually curious on how the glitch would work beyond those locations giving how much oversight Bethesda was used in the game mechanics because Bethesda
Fun fact, if Kahvozeins Fang does glitch in your inventory and you're not able to drop it, you can place it on a weapon mount to remove it. But it will still be glitched in your inventory whenever you take it back.
I remember fighting thalmor in the rat way, well i say fighting it was more looting the trail of destruction and corpses lydia had left in her rage filled rampage. I dont think she likes elves.
Fun fact: The girl who set herself on fire trying to use a flame cloak spell has a necklace. You can take it off her corpse, and it is her necklace, as it has [her name] silver necklace. Thought it was neat

A note regarding Dragonbane: There is a window of time when you first enter the area in which the armor set and the sword can be taken BEFORE Daphne and Elvis take over. If you take them during this time, they are not marked as stolen.
The actual good thing about Borvir's dagger is that you can pick it up in the world at just level 1, when elven weapons don't noramally spawn until you reach level 20.
Im gonna have to disagree because everytime I played at level 5 I would go to Jarl Balgruufs quarters and in a display case is 100% always an elven sword for you to steal behind an Expert lock
My headcanon with Borvir is that, if he was trying to make a mead better than Honningbrew, I wouldn’t doubt that he was trying to compete with the Black-Briars’ mead as well. I imagine that the bandit is actually a mercenary hired by Maven Black-Briar to take care of Borvir before he truly became a threat to her business.

You forgot to mention that Borvir and Rundi were brothers who were both attempting to create a Meade to compete with Honningbrew and Blackbriar, you can acquire Rundi's Dagger from a little obelisk shrine section slightly northeast of Winterhold surrounded by Frost Rune spells that can easily cause the dagger to fling away, you can find the girl's ring on her burned corpse and she was trying to create a powerful destruction spell while being a novice and the argonian you can acquire the ring from his corpse if it doesn't Despawn glitch and he was trying to develop a mind control spell testing it on SKEEVERS not Mole Rats and he got cocky.
@@unshakensalsa6220 i honestly prefer getting flame cloak that way, it makes it feel unique like the Equilibrium spell and Flaming Familiar and Convert Ore which are all one of a kind. The uniqueness is taken away by the fact you can just buy flame frost and shock cloak from Faralda. If I remember correctly ilas-Tai was working on Illusion Spells to manipulate minds better and was killed by the Skeevers he was experimenting on, but the skill training book nearby was an Alteration book and I think it was specifically Breathing Water which conflicts with what he was studying and experimenting AND conflicts that he's an argonian which naturally have the ability to breathe underwater.
TINY DETAIL: add this to your list Nate, have your character go to her corpse and strip it of all of its gear and make sure she's near you because she has unique dialogue about leaving her with at least some dignity, I was laughing for a good two to three minutes when I first heard it!
Omg! I just finished that quest and decided to not strip her clothes because it felt wrong with her being right there. It’s funny how Skyrim can make you feel like the world is real.

When I got the champions cudgel I immediately broke it for the enchantment lol Putting that enchantment on a stalhrim weapon will increase its damage by an additional 60%. Stalhrim weps are the most OP vanilla weapons when enchanted with Frost and Chaos.
Actually with Dragonbane, if you take it as soon as you get to Skyhaven Temple it won't be marked as stolen. Only after the blades learn about Paarthurnax, will the item be marked as stolen. But if you get it before then it is always yours

Stahlrim boosts ice enchants. Since chaos has ice, it boosts all fire shock and ice in the chaos enchant. Highest possible sword base damage without mods, is stahlrim with ice and chaos enchant.

Dragonbane can be counted as your item (not stealing), if you go to it straight away when you enter Sky Haven or do the storage glitch, where you store it somewhere and ask a companion to loot the chest or barrel
Note about the chaos enchantment: If you enchant a daedric warhammer with the same enchantment, and you even have enough enchanting power to match the champion's cudgel, it will be significantly worse. Why? Because there exists a bug in skyrim day one, and was never addressed by bethesda. Try using the college robes' enchantments, you will see that while you can make the school buff scale, the magicka regen wont. that's the bug. Enchantments with two effects only scale one of the effects with your enchanting ability. The chaos enchantment is three effects, one for each element. electric damage will scale and deal the damage according to the enchanment description, but fire and frost will only do 10 damage, no matter what. This is an issue with player enchanted items, but not random loot. This is addressed by a few mods, the only one that affirmatively says it fixes this issue is Scrambled Bugs. the unfortunate thing about it is that because its an engine altering mod, it is specific to the engine, and the VR version is slightly different, meaning this bug is not addressed in the VR version.
Something similar happens in a quest where a nord asks for your help to stop a necromancer in his family tomb. If you try and take anything from the urns or burial jars he’ll call you out on it, but then he’s just like “fine, I guess you can have that stuff as a reward”

@Arnez Willis I have had random crashes on Xbox 360 but not while starting combat with Falx Carius, I always had a crash in the hidden vale while fighting the two dragons, I'd kill one and when the other one was at half health the game would freeze, this had happened multiple times on the same occasion

I installed a mod to let you not kill parthunaax, basically it adds a few snippets of text dialogue of the dragon born basically saying to the blades "back off mofos! I'm the dragon born and what I say goes" lol
Tolfdir at the College of Winterhold is not the only NPC to ask you to get Dragon Heart Scales and the dagger. If you progress through the Blades quest Esbern will tell you of a dagger that can harvest dragon heart scales that can be used for dragon potions that you can get from him when completing the quest "Dragon Research". At the start of the quest Esbern will tell you where the dagger is.
I could have sworn I took on the missing students quest when I first played on the 360. I vaguely remember having a quest marker on the one messed up by the skeevers and just thinking how hilarious it was, and having to report back.

1:28 as far as I'm aware, the very first time you enter sky haven temple, when you are having Esbern read the wall, you can take Dragonbane without it being marked as stolen before everything in the location gets marked as property of the blades. I've done it many times in the past.
If you combine the chaos damage enchantment with fire/ice/lightning damage enchantment it actually boost both enchantments. If you have all the destruction and enchantment perks boosting these enchantments the damage can go over 100 for each enchantment.

If you pay attention to the dialogue at The College of winterhold, there is a conversation about missing students, and he says one of them was doing experiments with Skeevers, the area with the Skeevers is not to far from the college either if you go exploring out into the sea and surrounding area so you can put two and two together, he also tells you about the Honningbrew mead experiment and the other girl with her fire, I don’t remember the name of the person that tells you but it’s definitely in the game.
Surprised nobody's mentioned Nerveshatter. I think it's a part of one of the DLCs but it's only found in what I think is Crystal drift Cave by Riften. Very powerful doing 44 damage points and shock damage too. It's a two-handed hammer and it's got a very unique look. Easy to get too considering all you need is one amber and one madness ore
13:17 i found the girl that died messing with fire spells from the cut Missing Apprentices quest! her corpse was surrounded by still flaming debris and there was a flame cloak spell tome next to her lol. i always wondered what the deal behind it was, thanks for mentioning the backstory!
It only happens if you leave it sitting there until the blades give you the "parthanax ultimatum". It's listed as owned by the blades faction, so when you're booted from the blades for that quest, it will be "stolen" if taken.
Funny, I picked up kahvozIn's fang at lv 18. Like literally the first dragon priest I murdered dropped it. Of course I've also gone entire play throughs without seeing it so... Balance?
Quest Reward Leveller is one of my favorite mods, in skyrim and oblivion. It does exactly what you'd expect: if you have an item with diffrent stats based on level in your inventory, it'll upgrade it for your current level.
I love using Zephyr. It’s been my go to bow every time I play Skyrim (I always play archers in Skyrim) also it’s original owner is voiced by the actress who voiced one of my favourite game series title character. I lost it when I heard her voice (Yes I know she voices other characters but that’s the first time I heard her voice without any accent or vocal embellishment.)
Fun fact with Dragonbane, as soon as you get into the door that leads to alduins wall, sprint your ass all the way to dragonbane, it will not count as stolen, it will just say take, along with the rest of the items in that little room you will have to get there before esburn gets to alduins wall
There's actually a mod on Steam that'll re-introduce the Missing Apprentices quest into the game. If no new dialogue was recorded for the quest, the quest itself seemed like it was mostly done anyways so I'm still not sure why it was excluded in the first place.
It also has a stacking damage effect based on your destruction skill in vanilla, i had one weapon doing upwards of 900 base per hit when all 3 effects procced
@@rumham7631 it's actually rewarding , you are able to make god tier weapons , legit, through perks and little quirks like that , but it takes a long ass time and by that time ur mostly done with the games bigger questlines
Zephyr is one of my favorite bows, combining it with Quick Draw and Ranger perks with heavy armor and the Stead Stone leads to a really capable combat archer.
Dragonbane won't be marked stolen if you take it when you first find skyhaven temple, when the room is dark where you find it.

The best secret weapon is the Lydia shield. Basically you take Lydia and you kind of just let her take most of the hits while you sit back and watch

I managed to get the Flame Cloak spell from the girl, so I guess the spellbook can be easy to miss or it doesn't spawn every time.

The mod he's using to change the look of the unique weapons is called Unique Uniques
Such a great mod. In vanilla skyrim, I was always disappointed picking up "unique" weapons that just looked like regular steel and whatnot

I bought skyrim a month ago. when I alt tab, it has the in game cursor and also my mouse cursor zooming around. this game came out in like 2008.........
You can debug most of those glitches with the know how. But still you're right, they should of known to fix that shit.

Putting that enchantment on a stalhrim weapon will increase its damage by an additional 60%. Stalhrim weps are the most OP vanilla weapons when enchanted with Frost and Chaos.
Chaos can spawn on other weapons in the late game.
Putting the Chaos damage on Stalhrim weapons and having the augmented elemental perks in the destruction tree will give you insane damage.
Especially if you go through the enchanting perks too. Take the perks for extra elemental damage

Add Ahzidal's armor to the mix and you can have ridiculously high elemental damage on it. Like 230 fire, Frost, and shock damage.

Actually with Dragonbane, if you take it as soon as you get to Skyhaven Temple it won't be marked as stolen. Only after the blades learn about Paarthurnax, will the item be marked as stolen. But if you get it before then it is always yours

For those of you who grabbed Dragonbane a bit too late and want to get rid of the stolen tag go to the thieves guild then fence and re-buy it, it might be a bit pricy but if you have the gold and want the sword.
You can actually remove Kahvozein's Fang by placing it in a dagger display case

Stahlrim boosts ice enchants. Since chaos has ice, it boosts all fire shock and ice in the chaos enchant. Highest possible sword base damage without mods, is stahlrim with ice and chaos enchant.
Skyrim has a disproportionate amount of frost resistant enemies though

Dragonbane can be counted as your item (not stealing), if you go to it straight away when you enter Sky Haven or do the storage glitch, where you store it somewhere and ask a companion to loot the chest or barrel

Note about the chaos enchantment: If you enchant a daedric warhammer with the same enchantment, and you even have enough enchanting power to match the champion's cudgel, it will be significantly worse. Why? Because there exists a bug in skyrim day one, and was never addressed by bethesda.
Try using the college robes' enchantments, you will see that while you can make the school buff scale, the magicka regen wont. that's the bug. Enchantments with two effects only scale one of the effects with your enchanting ability. The chaos enchantment is three effects, one for each element. electric damage will scale and deal the damage according to the enchanment description, but fire and frost will only do 10 damage, no matter what.
This is an issue with player enchanted items, but not random loot. This is addressed by a few mods, the only one that affirmatively says it fixes this issue is Scrambled Bugs. the unfortunate thing about it is that because its an engine altering mod, it is specific to the engine, and the VR version is slightly different, meaning this bug is not addressed in the VR version.

Something similar happens in a quest where a nord asks for your help to stop a necromancer in his family tomb. If you try and take anything from the urns or burial jars he’ll call you out on it, but then he’s just like “fine, I guess you can have that stuff as a reward”

Dragonsbane and the Champion's Cudgel are pretty hard to miss, since they're found at main quest locations. Not very secret if you ask me.

Lost to the Ages was an epic quest, I recommend it for anyone with Dawnguard. There are tons of rewards in for you, including this epic bow.

@Arnez Willis I have had random crashes on Xbox 360 but not while starting combat with Falx Carius, I always had a crash in the hidden vale while fighting the two dragons, I'd kill one and when the other one was at half health the game would freeze, this had happened multiple times on the same occasion

Auriel's Bow also has a faster draw speed, combined with its enchantment it ha better dps than Zephyr.
He was more talking about a unique bow some people might not know it exists. Also, Zephyr is 2 points higher in dps, at least from my experience.

I installed a mod to let you not kill parthunaax, basically it adds a few snippets of text dialogue of the dragon born basically saying to the blades "back off mofos! I'm the dragon born and what I say goes" lol
There is a "Virtuous Glass Bow" deep underwater in an Adept locked chest in Reachwater Rock.
That explains why in his last dying breaths, the General ends up killing me so fast.
Tolfdir at the College of Winterhold is not the only NPC to ask you to get Dragon Heart Scales and the dagger. If you progress through the Blades quest Esbern will tell you of a dagger that can harvest dragon heart scales that can be used for dragon potions that you can get from him when completing the quest "Dragon Research". At the start of the quest Esbern will tell you where the dagger is.
I could have sworn I took on the missing students quest when I first played on the 360. I vaguely remember having a quest marker on the one messed up by the skeevers and just thinking how hilarious it was, and having to report back.

1:28 as far as I'm aware, the very first time you enter sky haven temple, when you are having Esbern read the wall, you can take Dragonbane without it being marked as stolen before everything in the location gets marked as property of the blades. I've done it many times in the past.
If you combine the chaos damage enchantment with fire/ice/lightning damage enchantment it actually boost both enchantments. If you have all the destruction and enchantment perks boosting these enchantments the damage can go over 100 for each enchantment.

If you pay attention to the dialogue at The College of winterhold, there is a conversation about missing students, and he says one of them was doing experiments with Skeevers, the area with the Skeevers is not to far from the college either if you go exploring out into the sea and surrounding area so you can put two and two together, he also tells you about the Honningbrew mead experiment and the other girl with her fire, I don’t remember the name of the person that tells you but it’s definitely in the game.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Nerveshatter. I think it's a part of one of the DLCs but it's only found in what I think is Crystal drift Cave by Riften. Very powerful doing 44 damage points and shock damage too. It's a two-handed hammer and it's got a very unique look. Easy to get too considering all you need is one amber and one madness ore
Nerveshatter looks so badass! I had to wait to use it tho as I wasn't about to run it with just any armor set lol had to get that madness getup😎

Dragonbane has never been marked as stolen in any of my many playthroughs.
It only happens if you leave it sitting there until the blades give you the "parthanax ultimatum". It's listed as owned by the blades faction, so when you're booted from the blades for that quest, it will be "stolen" if taken.

Funny, I picked up kahvozIn's fang at lv 18. Like literally the first dragon priest I murdered dropped it. Of course I've also gone entire play throughs without seeing it so... Balance?
Quest Reward Leveller is one of my favorite mods, in skyrim and oblivion. It does exactly what you'd expect: if you have an item with diffrent stats based on level in your inventory, it'll upgrade it for your current level.

I love using Zephyr. It’s been my go to bow every time I play Skyrim (I always play archers in Skyrim) also it’s original owner is voiced by the actress who voiced one of my favourite game series title character. I lost it when I heard her voice (Yes I know she voices other characters but that’s the first time I heard her voice without any accent or vocal embellishment.)
Fun fact with Dragonbane, as soon as you get into the door that leads to alduins wall, sprint your ass all the way to dragonbane, it will not count as stolen, it will just say take, along with the rest of the items in that little room you will have to get there before esburn gets to alduins wall
The second you enter skyhaven temple, you can immediately get dragonbane and the blades armor without it saying stolen

There's actually a mod on Steam that'll re-introduce the Missing Apprentices quest into the game. If no new dialogue was recorded for the quest, the quest itself seemed like it was mostly done anyways so I'm still not sure why it was excluded in the first place.
I just talked to one of the professors who asked me to find them, and explained what they were doing. I play on PS4 without any mods ._o

Nate, did you know that "Chaos Damage" does more damage when applied to Stahlrim weapons?
If I had to guess, it could be because of Stahlrim weapons' relation with frost enchantments
It also has a stacking damage effect based on your destruction skill in vanilla, i had one weapon doing upwards of 900 base per hit when all 3 effects procced

Zephyr is one of my favorite bows, combining it with Quick Draw and Ranger perks with heavy armor and the Stead Stone leads to a really capable combat archer.
I used it till I got an ebony bow
