    Thanks....struggled for so long with my son's twin duvet so when I got a king duvet I thought someone would find me trapped inside...followed your instructions and it was sooooo easy...did it by myself!

    your tip worked! Never having a duvet cover before, I was befuddled as to how to put it on my queen sized bed all by myself. Thank you for posting this trick.

    That was great! Another way (the one i've done for the past 35 years) is to drape the duvet over the railing of my upstairs landing, bring the cover to it, grab the two closed-end cover corners then push them up through the opening ... and with the corners still in your hands, just grab two of the duvet corners, flip the cover over the end, and let it shimmy down the duvet as you hold it over the edge using gravity to help. That just leaves the corners near the opening to get settled into their place, which is easily done as they're near the opening. Close it up, give it another little shake and voila, it's done in about a minute! But I'm going to have to try your method now :)

    It's the second time my wife and I used this method to cover our duvet ... it seems to be the best we've found so far. :-) Thanks!

    Thank you so much for this. I just bought my first duvet and cover. It's a king size and I'm like 5 feet tall. I tried another way I saw online and was so frustrated and buried in fabric. I don't care if you did or didn't invent this trick, as others seem to be debating, regardless, it sure helped me out tremendously!

    Thankyou, I am only 5ft tall, and have just managed to put the cover on my super king duvet , all on my own , in under 2 mins , without breaking a sweat , and without having to ask my husband to come and help me . I am really chuffed

    Thank u so much for posting this trick it's a really big help, I tried this trick and it really worked. It was amazing it saved lots of my time. I recommend not doing it to thick quilts that are a super king or king sized quilts. I did this trick on a super king and it worked fine because it's a thin quilt. 👍

    This is so fast easy and simple. Some how I always have to re-watch your video to remind myself how to do it, so for me it's two minutes to watch the video, and two minutes to put on the cover. lol. Thanks for the video. The question remains, is this how the royal servants do it?

    I think this is best suited for warmer states! Not so good for Canadians with thick winter duvets. My "jelly roll" was 4x the size of hers and stuck half in and half out and ended with me on top of it trying to shove it in violently while my 5 year old watched in horror. Will try again with the spring duvet in a couple of months :/ until then I think the normal way is easier. Cool tutorial though!

    My way seems a lot faster and convenient. I lay out the blanket and turn the duvet cover inside out. then put my arms inside and grab the opposite corners from the opening. then I grab the blanket and shake the duvet cover on. and then done. way easier and simpler.

      livewithout5683 Exactly my thoughts. Thats how my mother teached me to do it and it is faster. Then again I am 1.90 Meters tall and may be it is harder to do if you somewhat shorter. You get up and half of the duvet is still laying flat. Might make the shake part harder.

    • @lovemetu
      @lovemetu 9 лет назад +6

      livewithout5683 I did it same way as you do tonight and with a king size duvet it took about 30 seconds , not that hard !!! Also the lady in the video claims that she thought of this method all on her own, well there are lots of videos showing the exactly same method, it is called ''The Burrito Method''

    Does the bottom of the cover have to be completely unsewn ? Mine has the two edges at the bottom each sewn about a third of the way (leaving a third in the middle open)

    I have a king size and all I do it turn the cover inside out, reach through the opening and hold the corner. I then pick up the corners of the duvet and just tip the whole duvet cover over and shake. Takes less than a minute and I don't have to keep walking round the bed. I stand on the bed to get extra height and just too the cover down. Was hoping to see something even faster but it's really no quicker.

  • @kkfung1
    @kkfung1 9 лет назад

    When you said it was done, it was not really done. The opening still had to be closed. That means in most cases, buttoning up 6 or 7 buttons taking at least half a minute more.
