the air 3 is a great drone, I had the mini 3 pro and then I got the air3 and I was blown away, sure if you live in Canada you need an extra step to be able to fly it freely but it is worth it. The air 3 is just in another league, it's very powerful, fast and the 3x telephoto camera unleashes a new level of creativity. Good job dji.
In the warmer months I've been getting up to 41 minutes in low-wind conditions of flight time. This is my third drone and I cannot be happier with it. The thing is Rock solid. It's very aware of its surroundings and I've never crashed It (knock on wood)
I like the Air 3 for all of the reasons/features you have highlighted here, Shawn. At least for now, the addition of the Air 3 to my Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro makes me feel that my needs are covered. Thanks for all your great content, and cheers from Wisconsin, U.S.A.
When you said you took a trip to the “east coast” my eagle eyes opened up… I recognized a few of your spots! Very nice shots of the SS Kyle in Harbour Grace!
Hi Shawn great long term review. I’ve just received mine at the great sale price. What is the picture quality like….been reading mixed reviews but I trust your opinion. I’m not going to open mine as the 3s appears to be launching this week so just incase its mind blowing I still have time to return this unit. Thanks in advance 🙏
Quietness... I used mine one time to find the source of a loud crash I heard. It was a car that had crashed on the road in front of my property, but behind some trees, so I couldn't see it from the house. After finding this with the drone, I walked out to investigate. I mentioned to the people there (which included more than the driver of the car) that I'd spotted them with my drone, and nobody had heard the drone. The drone was at about 150' AGL. I've had mine for several months, and I love it.
Thanks for the review Man! I'm looking to upgrade from my Mini 3 to the Air 3, and this video helped me get onboard with that idea! The Mini 3 is a great drone but, I'm looking for better speed, greater signal strength, and greater zoom in 4K. I honestly think the Mini 2 had a better 2x zoom than the Mini 3, and better signal strength. Thanks Again for this Video! Keep Up the Great Work!
No lagging lockon with sats especially with RC2 ... And now with C1 for Europe means it can fly in more places than the now legacy Air2S. Three batteries in the combo pack are more than enough for flying. And then charge up on my Ecoflow River Mini. Would like to try the goggles!
Im currently on the Mini 3 Pro, like it so far, its just great to be able to carry it anywhere. The Air 3 is great but I am waiting for an S version with a bigger main sensor as the image of the A3 itself would look fairly similar to the M3P, just no zoom and a little better software.
I still fly the 1st generation mavic pro and fpv drone but I am looking for an upgrade soon to either this air 3 or the mp4, they both look like fantastic!
2:55 tbh i think it's better to just record in full 16:9 but with the "3'rds" lines active. Then the vertical lines pretty well approximates what the 9:16 format will look like. Then you have all the footage in 1 file, just crop in post for IG/TikTok. Way too messy to record 2 times for different aspect ratios, you might not be able to recreate that moment.
I am looking into getting a new drone I am stuck between the mavic pro 3 and the air 3. I will be traveling and use it for everything. Any suggestions or help?
I have the same confusion ; I recently got the M3Pro , but am seeing rave reviews about A3. The M3Pro 3 camera system along with wide angle 1 inch HB sensor is great for low light . But A3 stack sensor is not far behind. So it’s a difficult decision. Any help / suggestions will be appreciated
They were all shot in normal mode, default settings. When I edit, I throw over a lut at about 20% strength. I very rarely use ND filters. Only if I’m doing low fast flying. When you’re up in the air you don’t really get the effect of an ND. I should’ve made point of that in the video I did with my mini 4 long-term review. But I forgot to mention it in this one.
@@AirPhotography That’s excellent - thank you. Really appreciate the informative reply. Think I need to keep practicing with mine so that I can get close to those kind of shots!
Hi, thanks for the informative review, I am considering this drone for inspections of external facades up to 100m off the ground, what is close up zoom performance, would I be able to zoom in on cracks in surfaces or separation of building elements .?. Thanks in advance.
I purchased this drone for my Drone business never flown it waiting till i get my A2cofc certified license then fly also Mavic 3 Classic as backup drone
They were shot in auto on the drone and while editing. I just dropped a default lut on. It had about 30% to make it pop a little. I don’t really do much grading
Do you think it's better than Air 2S if you think only from a photography point? The sensor is smaller, if you shoot with the full resolution and resize it to 20mp what will be the result?
I’m not much of a photographer, so it’s really hard for me to comment too much on that. I think both drones are excellent. I don’t know if there’d be much of a difference,
I feel I screwed up buying the Mavic Air 2 and not waiting for the 2S. There's so much noise in my low light photo that's is really unusable. I'm not sure if the Air 3 will have an "S" variant or a Pro version.
Keep flying! The ban is purely political. Kick Bedridden out of office and prosecute him over Burisma. Corrupt barsteward! Don't forget his druggy pedo son, either.
They wouldn’t unless you crashed or cause an issue and the FAA checks the device Remote ID. If you fly in the middle of nowhere you’d likely never have an issue as long as it’s not a protected area with restrictions or something.
Remote ID could get you. It broadcasts the transmitter position, drone position, and IDs (usually serial number) the entire time you're flying. Some nefarius big-brother loving companies are developing technology that logs all this data over large areas. They are compiling databases for use later when they want to buy politicians...sorry I mean lobby...for new laws.

But how? Drones are completely different sizes. How would a mavic fly with a mini 4 battery and vice versa? Bigger drones need bigger batteries unless you want 10 minute flight times…

@@AirPhotography ok im sorry for being so abrupt. Let me be more constructive. Congratulations on the weight loss. Looking great.. great video, I have all Air models. Love the Air 3 the most, and like more that the Mini 3pro
can you do flips and rolls with it? thanks in advance
No, you would want something like the Avata series for maneuvers like that
Glad I watched this and found out the Air 3 added the 360 active tracking. I almost got a Mini 4 just to have that, but would rather have the Air 3!

Comparisons are good they can help people decide whether it’s worthwhile to upgrade
The battery life on the rc2 sucks though. 3 batteries if your lucky.
