@@Tengokuchi - That's true, but it takes a great deal of patience and time. Also, there are differing degrees of ferality among cats. Some are just timid and apprehensive about humans, and others are completely alienated from us and see us as scary monsters from another planet. You never know until you try to tame a particular, unique feral kitty yourself.

I have also taken in a cat who had been neglected and abused. It took about one year to get her to trust that I was not going to abandon her like her other persons had. She has even managed to go to Thailand with me and is very comfortable here with the other cats that my wife (a cat lover) has either adopted or saved from dying. We now have eleven ats and three dogs. We just lost one at to cancer and brain injuries from living on the streets. It died in her arms purring. It had the last four years of its life getting loved and cared for.
So kind and patient of you to care for her and the kitten. However they both need a bath and brushing. You could start by washing the kittens face with a warm wet cloth. 😊

If anything can be done for animals then all good humans hv to express their anger against their local and national govts for not framing strictest laws and their proper implementation. Due to lack of laws, even police and courts are helpless resulting in these evils getting away. Only thanking rescuers, criticising evils and forgetting animals will not change anything. WE ALL NEED TO DEMAND STRICTEST LAWS IN SOCIAL MEDIA FROM ALL GOVTS. WHY DONT ANY OF US DO THAT IF WE REALLY FEEL FOR ANIMALS? While she is emotionally disturbed she is safe in the cage.If she escaped she might suffer more abuse & be harmed.
I’ve fostered literally hundreds of cats. They are den animals. I would leave the doors open (except kittens, they’re a Wiley bunch) and they would still go in there at night to sleep. If I leave a carrier out at at night, I’ll find one or two sound asleep in there. It’s evident you don’t know much about cats.
No, he was doing things the right way to be successful. This was a very wild and traumatised cat and needed a very gradual adjustment.
The man did a good job, he had so much patience with this extremely difficult cat. So kind.
