The amount of pure happiness and pride that was reflected on her father's face when the first coach turned, is more happiness and pride than my dad ever expressed for me over the course of the 27 years he was in my life.
16 years old, and that voice is just so captivating and so...inspirational! I admittedly was at first surprised that only one judge turned their chair, but I had to look it up to find out the others didn't press their button because their team was full. But, for them to turn around and see who was singing before their chairs could turn at the end, I had never seen anything like that before, that really was amazing! Sydney, you go girl!
I've watched this performance at least 20 time in the last 2 years. And her voice brings a tear to my eye EVERYTIME !!!
This was one of the truly memorable auditions. Even 3 years later, I keep coming back to watch it again!

Lol I love how Blake was the first one to peek over his chair at 1:44 and then the rest of the coaches follows him almost immediately.
Blake and adam are the brothers that get in trouble together. And gwen is the little sister that doesn't want to be left out.
I love the moment where Blake turns around and Gwen smiles seeing the symbolism of the moment - all of the judges were out of picks, but they all turned around to show her they would have chosen her and all agreed she earned her place.
So much grace in her movement, so much lust & desire in her voice, and so much promise in her eyes
She is so graceful and I loved that dress that she's wearing. Beautiful singing!! 🌹

To those who say she can't sing: open your ears! She killed this song. The range is incredible. This is a song in a man's low timbre! And she made it her own! Outstanding.
And just the fact that all the judges wanted to turn for her, but couldn't because their teams were already full says enough.

Honestly 5 years ago, i watched you 16yo just like Angel from Beautiful Heaven sings for us very very very beautifullll.... even in live version or studio version you still the best, maybe i will back that Season if i have a time stone to see you sing again 😆 The Voice Season 9 is the best because you and the others (Jordan, Emily, Andi & Alex, Ivonne, Summer, Evan, Shelby, Madi, Mark, Regina, ....) very talented and mind blowing for us...

I LOVED HER! I thought they didn't give her a chance. I remember having to rewind the DVR multiple times because she wasn't being mentioned after this audition, and THAT'S how I found out she was eliminated. HORRIBLE THAT THEY DO THAT
...SOME LITTLE LAME QUICK MENTION THAT, POOF, SHE'S GONE.
From what I read, she actually withdrew because her dad was undergoing treatment for cancer which would have been a huge distraction for the production company if she couldn't make her scheduled appearances.
I hope you will always sing with such passion and happiness, you have a really beautiful voice. It's soft, refreshing yet have it's power, if I can say it's similar to my favorite delicious ice coffee ♡
