As someone just getting into the game, all the staple card reprints are really appreciated. Collectors are going to go crazy opening the set for Eeveelutions and so the competitive cards are going to get even cheaper.

@noahhayslip9270 the latter two things have nothing to do with the actual gameplay and the first one is called variance and happens extremely rarely in competitive games
Revavroom ex with 4 dmg reducing tools, 4 bronzong on the bench, stadium that reduces dmg taken by steel types. Reduce dmg taken by 250 or somethin. Bomberdier ex and treasure gadget to search.
new hoot hoot is still very playable, you search for it with fan rotom anyways (you poffin for pidgey + rotom). the new noivern may not see play, but the noibat may. Its a colorless, searchable with rotom and can accelerate energy with glass trumpet to quickly hit with the dragon type noivern. I saw a espeon noivern list that makes so much sense. both can be accelerated with trumpet, share psychic and dark energy, and synergize by blocking basic pokemon damage and shuffling evolutions
The tool ace spec I feel like could have a funny use. Arven for it and a tool and you can put 6 tools into play immediately. If you have an attacker powered up, you could put exp share on all of your bench and conserve the energy. Wont be good but could be funny.
100% believe there is potential for Budew to be banned. I will say, I do like the way it slows down things, though. Im just used to cards like this being banned in Yu-Gi-Oh.
They've had other item lock cards in other format. There's plenty of ways around this such as using your own budew, using tools such as tm evolution, and using supporters in general. It's not a sure fire disruption because an out will be found.

I think that Tapu Koko will be played in miraidon until another cost efficient attacker comes out. it's really easy to hit it's max dmg of 220. I know it's the same dmg as miraidon but it's for 1 less energy, and you can still attack during your next turn. I will say, if it had 240hp or something close to it, it would be very good

It doesn't stack because you only apply abilities once per card, an ability can't stack with itself. It would have to be written out twice to be applied twice.
Amarys might be good, if you *only* want to discard, because research only is a better option if you already have 6 or more cards on hand. Amarys is a bit of a gamble, but might be a decent one of.
Another reason Alcremie ex will be a strong Dragapult counter is because with the Lillie’s Clefairy to make dragons weak to psychic Alcremie ex can OHKO Dragapult

@hrrysnfrd based Vileplume idea. I will be taking this idea. But also, Vileplume works with Mamoswine ex since it's any basic energy and a stage 2 that is great for evolving without candy as gloom is also an accelerator and it powers up Swine ex.
I find that the format **just** before the rotation is usually the messiest they get due to how many cards there are available. BST-PAR was one of my least favourites personally. Luckily, once Journey Together (or whatever it’s called) comes out in another few months, Lugia will be gone from Standard, leaving it to Expanded’s devices.
How much singles of Budew gonna cost out of the gate? Lmao. Pre orders are sold out and being scalped worse than 151. I cqn easily see this getting price gouged like a vessel or poffin but who knows. Hopefully it's under $2 for a set of 4.

I've built like 7 decks with very little money. This game is awesome. Yugioh is terrible and toxic. Magic is gay with things "going infinite."

lilligant+the new fighter card will make festival lead a lot better imo, you want a full bench of evolutions anyway so it fits very easily

TPC doesn't ban cards very often in Standard so it's unlikely Budew gets banned.

It's different because normally you can't evolve from an ex pokemon, this also allows you to play 4 copies of eevee AND 4 copies of eevee ex
and the basic eevee allows evo on its first turn as long as its in the active spot 👌

Might be good in cpao/bax deck to easily be powered up leaving bax to not be bossed up as can't leave the regigigas still powered up to attack again
