    I didn't understand how the design made sense until you pushed it against the wall, and then it made a lot of sense.
    I don't think I'll do either version because I'm worried that the wheels aren't far enough out to balance it properly if you're doing anything serious on top of it. And for non-serious work, I've got plenty of workspace already.
    But it was an interesting design!

    • @JackmanWorks
      @JackmanWorks  Год назад

      I added blocks to the bed of the CNC to position the drawer fronts in the same location, which made that setup super easy.
      Without a CNC, this would be easily achievable with a router and a couple of jigs to get the same results. I might make jigs for that for the next cabinet I build because it honestly might be quicker than the CNC.

    • @ericnorman2176
      @ericnorman2176 Год назад +1

      Sort of. Pocket hole screws are usually just screws with a slightly larger and flatter head on them, to provide lots of contact surface and clamping/holding pressure, but minimize the risk of splitting. In a pinch you can use regular construction screws, just be aware of the risk of splitting the wood if you tighten too much on the wedge-shaped heads.

    Only a second in, but if there isn't a locking mechanism there needs to be, knocking the arm up will give you an unhidden mess on the shop floor.

      You're right about the mess that would make! I don't anticipate need for a locking mechanism, but that should be easy enough to incorporate if I ever run into that issue.

      @@JackmanWorks trust me, you'll pick something up, walk right past it, and shunt it up by accident. If only for the fact ive put it in your mind now :)

      @@mechminded2207 hey, if it ever happens, it’ll only happen once before I either fix it or just light the whole cabinet on fire with the chaos that would create from dumping on the ground 😂

    I have limited space behind my tablesaw that I don't want to give up for a permanent outfeed table. I'm thinking a shorter version of this table with locking wheels might work for that purpose AND provide some additional storage.

    None of this was built with pallet wood. It’s like I don’t even know you any more man. 🤣😂🤣

      It kinda feels wrong honestly haha, I should have at least done pallet drawer fronts or something.
