As a person who used to throw pallets for a living, your pallet throwing form is emaculate
What were you doing specifically, what was the purpose of removing the pallets from the premise?
@@V1c._. just moving them. Throw em from a stack onto a floor or off the floor onto a stack
@@Thoroughly_Wet gotcha, sounds kinda fun
used to stack 6/10 cans of tomatoes on palletts and such, w/ an electric fork lift. those are the best. palletts should be treated well, as they'll stack better. once saw the aftermath of a new kid who extended his boom too far, and ended up causing the boom to simply lean on the stack he'd already put there. wasn't hurt. frontward motion should be impossible on a thing like that.
watching you suffer through these tedious projects will always remain one of my favorite hobbies. whenever i think i've taken on a ridiculous project, i think "at least i'm not making 1000 of these!"
That's a good mindset to have! By the way, I love your videos!
If the next video isn’t you making a Jackman-sized-mega-pallet out of reclaimed tiny pallets, I’m unsubscribing.
I'd like to see the coffee table he makes from these small pallets 😊 And how much it sells for lol
These look so accurate and the view with only the pallets looks so real! Great job.
That was one of my favorite shots, once you get close enough, the sense of scale completely goes away and it seems like a normal stack of pallets
I love how the pallet coasters look like better pallets than actual pallets. That's coming from someone who has worked with palleted freight and has dismantled a ton of pallets to make plank walls in his studio. I wish all regular pallets were that pretty!
"better pallets than actual pallets" is the best feedback haha
This is top awesome and ridiculous at the same time. I totally love it! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is mind-blowing, as per usual! Laser-engraved nail holes😄 Admire your patience and skills 👍
Your attention to detail is on a whole new level. These are actually amazing. Other people making these would resort to 100% laser made with veneered plywood but using hardwood, scaling original measurements down is truly a scaled down actual pallet. Really, really cool.
the mini pallet clothesline killed me. Just seeing so many TINY pallets A+
Jackman, not every Country uses the same style of pallet as the USA.
Over here in the UK, we used either standard British pallets or Euro pallets. Both of which are similar in design to Ben's tiny pallet (actually, his design was more like the standard British which is 1200mm x 1000mm). A scaled-down Euro pallet at 1200mm x 800mm would not work.
However,ban Aussie 1m x 1m would.
We get those euro pallets over here too! I like them because they actually tend to be easier to take a apart, although they're rarely ever hardwood, so I don't work with them often.
Never seen so professional work with pallets ^^
Pallet jack is back with the mini pallet stack, alliteration attack, pallet accuracy fact, and epidemic soundtrack. He's a self torturing maniac!
I really love the detail you put into those, really gives them all that "real" pallet look... even though they are real pallets made from pallet wood... Thank you for sharing your mad skills and time !!!
Great work, as tedious as ever, but I love seeing the things you come up with to streamline the operation and make things repeatable. 🙌🏻
You are such an artist.
Video editing, work planning, project selection to execution. Absolutely superb.
Thank you so much 😀
"...ensure that I still feel emotions" right in the feels bro 🤜🤛
I got you!
I made two very basic mini pallets from a pallet just with a hand saw and I thought how easy it would be of I had some more grown up kit... how wrong I was after watching this journey. Thank you for making this video for us.
Now you need to make some mini sized parallel clamps for clamping the pallets. Might as well go all the way. 😆
i love how you're making a template for every step, this make work with you easy and precise!
this video is a free tutorial for anyone wants to perfect their work, from planning to packging.
cannot thank you enough for this...
amazing job as usual ♥
Totally and utterly amazed by this whole process. My fingers ached just watching all of the sanding and holding of small parts.
I think you've perfected the pico pallet. Can always count on you to go the extra 10 miles to accomplish the utterly ridiculous. Thanks for sharing!
Very cool! I thought for sure you'd go drop a mini one off at some of the regular places you find large pallets.
This was beautiful. Very moving. The best part was seeing the care and attention to detail and consistency that each individual pallet got. It takes a silly idea into a project that makes one proud. I actually feel quite a sense of satisfaction combined with good ol’ patriotism and love for a job done well. It’s a good feeling. Thank you for sharing it.
Great project as ussual, your attention to detail and patience is always impressive!
Also, I call next turn with the RC Forklift
It's so much fun, I've wasted too much time just driving that thing around the shop trying to pick stuff up haha
Any link to the mini forklift? Great job on these also!
I prefer my pallet coasters to be just like my life size pallets. Poorly made, 2 slats broken, 9 exposed nails, 57 loose slivers that could skewer a man (and have). Possibly even a couple extra slats falling off as you move it. BUT, and I say this lovingly, I give you an A for effort for making ACTUALLY good pallets.
Love them!!! The pallet king strikes again and all that tedious work paid off!
All the attention for all the details; thanks for the entertainment! Perfectly proportioned petite pallet presents
My pleasure ;)
Thanks for the details. That what makes things great.
love the gluing jigs!
Incredible work and attention to detail.
Perfect use of words starting with "P". They flowed together so well
Brilliant job!!
Great job, nice touch with the laser etched nails
My favorite series, entertaining as always.
Very nicely done. I'm inspired. Cheers J
You should make a mini Jackman for your mini forklift xD LOL
What an awesome creation~! Too cool~! Love the lasered nail holes too.
Thank you so much!
This is awesome. I 3D printed a few hundred mini pallets for a client using wood based PLA. Mini pallets are just coool.
The best looking pallet wood anything I've ever seen!
Utter madness - I love it!
Awesome project! With all the detail of finishing them, they moved beyond accurate miniature pallets... to fine furniture miniature pallets! Your ability to do these types of projects (are you really sane?) is amazing! Great video edit as well! 👏👏👏
Love the attention to detail!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job👏
8:24 This is the most nerve wracking part of any build in my opinion. I can't even count how many times I've gotten here just to have it grab what I'm working on and chuck it straight at the wall.... And it's always the last polish wheel, "Fluffy" as I've come to call it, that gets me. Fluffy's a jerk haha
Haha yes!! This is why I made a few dozen extras, becase I lost at least a dozen between the router and the buffing wheel (mostly on the buffing wheel)
One of your BEST vids yet! 🍻
wow they look so awesome!!!! what a great video!! Merry Christmas
mate! that was so cool. Love then detail form the laser. clever as!
I figured you’d be a fan of these 😂
And I bet you can hand these down to the next generation with this much craftsmanship
Is it true joy to watch someone do something excellent. Even if it's as novel as pallet toasters. Thanks for the content.
fantastic build!!!!
Thank you!
Hey Paul, always great to see you come up with outstanding products from crappy pallet timber. Though I wish we had crappy pallet timber like you use, here in Australia, we mainly have pine wood pallets, not many hardwood pallets about any more.
That buffing wheel set-up on your wood lathe looked very interesting, could you possibly do a video on that and other tools in your workshop.
I'm always interested in what and how people have set up their workshops.
Cheers Lloyd.
After seeing the segment where you were hanging them to dry, I am compelled to ask if you would be so kind as to make them in a smaller size, perhaps 1/4 of the coaster, and sell them as Christmas ornaments? Pretty please?
this is so silly yet so incredibly cool!
Great work
Still one of my favorite woodworking YTers. Super cool, Paul. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much!! Merry Christmas!
Great video!
Thanks!
That was so beautiful, and fun to watch. I make pallet wood coasters that look like pallets. I have a lot of Hickory, because a lot of what I get for 'free' at work is hickory.(I'm a heavy duty body repair man and diesel/heavy equipment mechanic) Anyways, that's what I like to make "pallet-coasters, and trivets" out of hickory. Not the hardest wood out there, but it's inherently impact resistant, once it's covered with shellac, varnish, stain or urethane, or maybe mineral oil, they're very durable. Not "dishwasher-safe", but still durable, none the less.
I made mine with a circular saw, and jigsaw cause it's all I've got for the moment. I really appreciate your attention to every detail. Great Video Brother. 😎
Your madness knows no bounds. Thanks for making me feel normal(ish).
Any time!😂
I really appreciate your ingenuity and efficiency. Also, most craft channels that have absurdist humor normally make me cringe, but you I like.
First time watcher here. You, sir, kept me interested and entertained through out the whole video. You got a new subscriber. Good job!
Welcome aboard!
Wow, nice 👌🏼
Wow, the details make this a top notch project, Paul, awesome and well done!
I already have IsoTunes and I'm from The Netherlands, so that's a shame 'cause I sure would have added these to my cart!
And the Woby - Jackman feud keeps on rolling, we love to see it.
Just when everyone thought it was over, it’s back 😁
8:00 - a literal production line :D
All those pallet guys should be impressed!!
I caught your video a month too late as a first time viewer. I really wish you would make more! Subscribed either way.
You've earned my subscription
I needed new earmuffs, and now I can safely store my tiny box collection too
So I’m not the only one who has a weird collection of tiny boxes I can never get myself to throw away?!
Whoa, got in early on this one!
Would be really cool to see you and Marling baits make some fishing lures from pallet Wood!
Great video!! Wish you posted more tho!!
You and me both! These projects just take so long
I just ordered mine with a set of the Free 2.0 earbuds!
So cool
These things are sweet.
I recycle pallets at $2 a peace. You just showed how to make at least $500 from one pallet, thank you
Didnt think i would care at all. But these are actually awesome
Different dimensions but mini pallets used to be in Dollar Trees. I bought... too many. Idk why they are so fun.
I like that your homemade ones are so incredibly accurate though~
Just saw this video and I'm blown away. Is there any coasters left and can I just get a set. ?
Those are really neat, Paul. Crazy but neat. I was worried that you would sand off your laser engravings, but they survived. I hope you did, too.
Bill
I would have ordered some Isotunes, but I already have the isotunes ear muffs with Bluetooth and love them, and I can answer phone and talk with them on. Have had them for approximately 2 years and won’t wear anything else
Very pallety. I’m surprised you didn’t just have the ideal pallet dimensions memorized by now.
0:23 was all I needed to know what kind of man I was dealing with. subbed.
I’m just here for the RC forklift 😂
Worth every penny
Haha nice Caliper at 0:40! I need one of those.
have you tried using your CNC for sanding?
Loved every second of it... Now I want a remote controlled forklift. I assume you have to give them away otherwise you would be tempted to break them apart to make miniature shot glasses.
Paul , Funny I had a part time job once where we made skids (pallets). Maybe I will tell you how its done. We mat once at the NJ woodworking show . Nick from Techedfirman was looking for me and asked you if you saw me.
Mate, you have to be mental to take on a project like this. But I Love it and your whole setup is very impressive!!! 👍
What I like about them the most is, like a real pallet, each one is a little different.
really cool. creative. I have an idea for an image on a coaster. enjoy your 'R&R' soundtrack.
These look really awesome and you did a great job, but they would work a lot better with some kind of like felt or something so that liquid can’t drip through and the coaster would also then protect the surface.
boxes of matches next!
lol I made some of these out of popsicle sticks one time haha.. I wasn't doing it for any serious reason, just doing some home projects with my son and decided to do pallet coasters haha. I still have one of them. Yours look WAY better though
Well, the algorithm blessed me, today. Cheers!
As daft as it is for anyone to be making tiny pallets, I have to say it was awesome and honestly I've been following your channel for a long time. Within the time I've followed your channel I do not recall you ever making a bad video. My only issue is that you don't upload often enough to your channel 😊🙄🤔😊
7:30 looks like you are making a delicious pallet tiramisu
not gonna lie, I didn't hear a word you said at the end of the video. I was too distracted by the other guy playing with the forklift. haha. I have myself a couple pairs of ISOtunes now thanks to you. I got the Free Aware for working in the shop so that I'm free of wires but then I got the xtra 2.0 for my everyday work use. Anyway, Awesome project. I love the multi uses of a laser, we're considering getting one.
Where did you get the sanding mop that you used on the drill press to soften the corners?
I’ve been looking for something like that.
That's from Klingspor! I love it, only complaint is that I wish the paper lasted longer, but they do make refill packs.
De que medida los realizaste , puedes compartir por favor , saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Dude a don't no if your fricking nuts or an evil genius!😯🤔👏🏴
Wow. Thats amazing. How much time did you spend only fabricating?
