So much was addressed this offseason: Spacing, Coaching, and competent roster construction.
Success to me would be +30 wins, Cade flirting with an All NBA selection, Ivey/Duren showing improvement (Ivey needs to continue his preseason form, and Duren needs to defensively improve - rebounding alone cannot be the solution), and a problem overlooked by casual watchers, which is we need to stay healthy.
Everyone laughed at Cade for saying the Pistons were not a “2-26 bad” team, and that’s because if you watched the game, you’d see so many of the players were trying hard, there was just so many factors that stopped us from being better, and we addressed a lot of it this summer. NO! I’m not expecting us to be in the playoffs, but I expect us to not be the laughing stock of the league anymore

A successful season for me would be the continued development of our young guys, especially Jaden Ivey and Cade as a two man tandem.
I feel like they can definitely be a 1-2 punch and were robbed of development last season with Monty as the coach.
Throughout the preseason (which is just preseason but can show what’s to come) Jaden Ivey has looked much better shooting wise and the team has looked a lot better with much more spacing for Cade to operate in. It has been quite fun to watch.
Id also like to see Ausar get better at shooting. We’ve seen him working with Fred Vinson (our new shooting coach) and has already been making his shot look better.
I’d also like a continuation of Durens offense and to be consistent on defense. I believe he can become a good Mid range shooter as he’s pretty decent at shooting free throws as a big man (79%).
but with all that being said I’m thinking 25-35 wins which would be a big improvement from last season.

My definition of success for the Pistons should simply be anything better than last year. Ideally 25 wins

You forget kenny was only 8 when the pistons won. So he never really saw a great pistons team

A successful season is a new strategy.
The only way the pistons have a chance is to try something different.
Instead of playing to the media for running up scores, I would suggest go a different way.
Try to draft a true center or trade for one and run a center off the block. Also slow the ball down basically to the 4 second mark.

I think 30 -35 wins would be a successful season for the Pistons, what would be really hilarious though, if what they did what the Hawks did last year, make the play-in and end up with the number one pick , Cooper Flagg

@KennyFR I would consider Duren being the best player on the Pistons considering his elite rebounding

Man it’s refreshing to hear from an outside voice that took the time to put eyes on the team.
Also, Monty is a basketball terrorist. As a man I respect the finesse work tho.

Quiet as its kept, Monty was hired in large part because of his ability to teach players to make quicker decisions on offense.
This aspect has been called the "0.5 Offense", which was a phrase coined by the media for their benefit. It made for easier to remember headlines.
It was actually a HABIT Monty was teaching, not an Offensive System.
This FOUNDATIONAL HABIT of making quicker decisions can be applied to ANY offensive system.
When a new coach emphasizes WIND SPRINTS or PUSHUPS, it's not called "The WIND Sprint" or "Push Up" offense.
The Pistons have definitely benefited from having been DRILLED by Monty Williams in making quicker decisions AKA "Reading the game."
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I think the Pistons need to swing a trade for a certified superstar and build around that. Do whatever you can to get somebody in the building that’s worth it. Also you bring in guys that actually look the part
