    25 wins is a bad team. Remember, last year they let a lot of games slip away that they should have won...probably 10 games? If they don't collapse in the closing moments of a game like that, that would be a 24 win team. If the core stays healthy, they should be 30-35 wins. Not a huge improvement considering how bad they were at closing out games last year. With the old roster and having some sort of defensive mindset, they would have been over 25 wins last season.

      @@Chris-uq7in RIP Hamilton on TV Commercial: "You want to shoot like me? That can be tough; you'd have to shoot a thousand jumpers a day for 20 years."
      Chris... a player can't get up 1K jumpers a day during games. 🤨🫡
      True Development takes place between games.
      DURING games players learn how best to use what's ALREADY DEVELOPED.
      Scenario: ALL 15 players play well in a game; who do you reward with extra minutes for "Development" the next game.
      NOTE: There are no extra minutes for development when everyone plays well. Or RATHER, there SHOULDN'T BE.
      It is counterintuitive thinking to casual fans, but when things are going right, there's no "developing" occurring during games, because the Coaching staff puts players in position to use what's ALREADY most highly developed. Development by the Coach should occur in practices, shootarounds, walkthroughs, etc.
      It's always been what players do IN ADDITION to team requirements that builds ELITE Skills and CHAMPIONS.

      @@J.Ragland-hz1er lmfao. Can't really talk about championships and game 7s when Detroit always has one the worst record in the league for several years now and has been rebuilding for the longest time. And absolutely, players do most of the real work before & after games to get better but you do still need those REAL GAME reps to really show what you can do against REAL top competition. ALL players practice & train their butts off but not all develop and reach their true potential. You can shoot 1M shots in practice but those shots are still gonna be different in real games / live action. You need to experience the pace/speed of real games, compete against real competition & know the tendencies/habits of other players. Based on production alone? Got to remember the future will still largely depend on the young core, the new vets ain't exactly long-term pieces to really let them be your main guys this year if the young players under perform. Detroit ain't expected to really make noise next season to justify giving spot mins to the young players. Still gonna give them those reps to build their confidence. Find that BALANCE especially when the team ain't expected to really compete for anything any time soon..

    • @Chris-uq7in
      @Chris-uq7in 14 дней назад

      @@J.Ragland-hz1er LMFAO. Just as players train and practice to develop, anybody in their right mind know giving the young guys in game reps IS JUST AS IMPORTANT. Thats how players get comfortable & gain confidence as they develop. Development is gradual and different for each and every player. You don't draft young players high in the lottery and just let them rot on the bench when they're not ready yet. That's called mismanagement of asset especially if you're team is literally the WORST team in the league. That's ABSOLUTELY DUMB!
      Like, literally one of the mistake last season was not giving Ivey enough mins. Nothing beats REAL competition. The player loses confidence and his value goes down. You wont really know what you got if you wont use them.
      Would you pay a player just based on what he does in practice? Lol. Detroit will still be one of the worst team in the league next season, if the coach has some brain he should know that nothing beats in game reps. Just hold players accountable..
