I don't see any difference other than old dirty oil and new clean oil. I see many dark spots on the metal that are still there. I'm not convinced it did much really.
Yea honestly didn’t see much difference. I probably would have put it in and drove it around for like 300 miles before my oil change… no doubt it probably did something but it actually looked the same lol
It looks like you just used a clean oil pic of the top end vs a dirty oil. I'd like to see a fresh oil change with a 300 mile run with seafoam followed by another oil change.
Sweet. I was just about to ask you where the hoses connect to. You just answered my question. Also, your fuel injector cleaning HELPED me tremendously.

hi, great content! I have the same J200 engine in a Chevrolet Nubira 2007 1.6 and I always follow your videos. I saw that you put an oil with viscosity 20w50, but in the manual it says to use the 5w30. Is this due to the temperature where you live? Please continue with the great videos!
Thanks for watching, this is Chevrolet optra and in the manual it mention that you can 20-w50 and 5w30 as well, where i live not that cold, so different models allows different oil types as well
Good video and instructions. But.. You have to demonstrate this on a 250+ miles vehicle to see whether or not it works and upto what extent it cleans. This engine is low mileage and is already clean before adding seafoam. Also it's better to add oil inside the filter before tightening it to engine.
Pre-filling the filter makes the process easier if you have a large, heavy-duty truck, but if you're just changing the oil in a smaller car, it's not necessary
Yea I agree. Your videos from this engine alone has taught me a ton on the basics. Ty! I’d like to know how well and how many times it would take on ‘98 5.7 Chevy that has never been cleaned like this. I blame Piglet! Wiener dog can’t ever tell the difference from a 13 and 15.
Not necessary, it's more of a depends type of situation. If it was an RTV made gasket absolutely 100% most replace. If the gasket is only a few years old you can most likely get away with it. If the vehicle is 10+ years old and the gasket is factory it most likely has flattened out a bit, and it is probably a good idea to pay the $10-$15 to replace it. Really depends on the situation, there is no really answer for all cases short of just replace it regardless.
I just put half a bottle of seafoam into my crankcase and reved it up and etc it idle for 15 minutes and no smoke came out of my muffler at all. What does this mean? Did I apply it wrong or something?
It won't smoke because your engine isn't burning oil (oil bypassing rings, leaking past valve seals, etc). If you meter it into the intake, you will most likely get smoke. Make sure you know what you're doing because you can damage the engine if you do it wrong.
Using 1 quart of transmission fluid in your engine is an old trick to clean sludge. Transmission fluid has Detergents. Also marvel mystery oil can be used to clean sludge and varnish from inside your engine.
My grandpa once a year runs his 1977 international loadstar 1700 with just pure transmission fluid his 404 big block doesnt mind and it get alot of junk out considering how much work that truck does a year

And see... on that i dont have to drive my car just keep the idle to 20k rpm for 15-20mins but ill drive my car i dont like keeping my car on idle for long time. Ill do it on free way.. ill stop for awhile and pour the whole can on it and continuesly driving 10mins going and 10 mins to go back home and change oil after cooling my engine/oil to safely can touch.. Also i did using seafoam to clean my upper valve by spraying on my throttle body or where your mass break vacuum going to ur engine valve. Also did adding seafoam on my gasoline... by adding it on low gas, nearly empty, drive for 20miles and fill up ur tank... did a wonderful job too... i have no proof to show.. but im swearing a big better difference driving my car. I might redo it again and post it all on one video. Total of four ways to use seafoam on my car.. Crank case, adding to gas, spraying on throttle body, and spraying using vacuum (by using vacuum no need someone to help you to press ur gas pedal until u done spraying) buy at least 5 feet clear hose and 1 small clamp thing. Run the hose from where ur vacuum is, to driver side, from there u can spray on the hose while u monitoring or stepping on ur gas pedal.

Is it necessary to replace a new gasket after engine valve cover opening?
Yes, It's a good idea to to replace the gasket,

Actually the before looks cleaner. Wrong photo?
The only thing it did probably is that it cleaned the oil pump since there is more oil on the bottom.
