Because that's what nursing pays, you don't get paid 50 and 60 an hour starting out as a new grad. Unless you're doing agency nursing. When I first started out,as a new grad, nurse, I made 19.50 working overnights . I've been a nurse for four years, now and I'm over the $25 range, but that's also due to me having 4 years of experience.

They are low balling new grads in Florida … in Texas it starts at $30 … then it depends on experience as well if you get a higher pay. I know someone who recently graduated and is starting off at $38 … this is why I don’t want to do residency as well… this is good info !! I’ve been a LVN for a few years and graduating on a few months with my RN so hopefully that helps with base pay

How can any nurse accept 23-25$ after all the schooling and stress to get a license 😔
Sometimes u have to start from somewhere. If she wants to travel after a year she can. I know it sucks 23-25 an hour is horrible.
