    How can any nurse accept 23-25$ after all the schooling and stress to get a license 😔

      Sometimes u have to start from somewhere. If she wants to travel after a year she can. I know it sucks 23-25 an hour is horrible.

      Because that's what nursing pays, you don't get paid 50 and 60 an hour starting out as a new grad. Unless you're doing agency nursing. When I first started out,as a new grad, nurse, I made 19.50 working overnights . I've been a nurse for four years,now and I'm over the $25 range, but that's also due to me having 4 years of experience.

    wait until you see what you can make weekly as a travel or local travel nurse. it's amazing. I work right down the road from my house making 83 an hour

      my cousin somehow managed to get a travel nurse job as a new grad nurse. She no longer has her license :(

    They are low balling new grads in Florida … in Texas it starts at $30 … then it depends on experience as well if you get a higher pay. I know someone who recently graduated and is starting off at $38 … this is why I don’t want to do residency as well… this is good info !! I’ve been a LVN for a few years and graduating on a few months with my RN so hopefully that helps with base pay

      In NYC, my friends started around $48/hr -$54/hr (all day shift new grads on orientation). Obvi cost of living is higher but yeah.

    I don’t know if NP is Worth spending all my life time for because i have tried youtube l associates and some others and still failed 4 attempt. I feel so frustrated don't know what to do anymore don’t even have time for my own kids any more 💔💔💔😔😔.

      I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the RPN test last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mrs Cynthia

      Northern cali they are starting to pay 77 per hour and some parts of nothern cali the cost of living is not as high as other areas in cali

      I'm an RT born n raised in South Florida moved to Northern California and I'm at 72/hr out here at the moment, nurses I work with are in the 90's - 100's depending on experience

    I started with $27 with as a new grad LPN in Pennsylvania in 2019 after 2 years $30 -35 depending of the shift and agency pays $42 -55 FL is paying very low and there cost of living is not that cheap!

    28 seems really low, but again I'm in California, I just applied to a new grad program and I was offered 46$/hr

      @@ricardorodriguesrr18 im in sacramento. i would recommend sacramento as more like the sweet spot. the cost of living here is a lot lower compared to some of the big ones here. the pay is more or just about the same depending where you work at. so more money in your pocket.

      @@ricardorodriguesrr18 it is neither. i do not recommend staffing agency. i work for an assisted living community, i started as a health services director then just leveled up from there.

    Yes when I heard you say $28 then 23-25 I was like whatttt? Nurses should get paid at least $30 BASE period. I'm an RT student and to me that's crazy lol

      $30 is way too low for me. I would rather work as a janitor cleaning toilets at kaiser hospitals in California making $31/hr literally that's how much their janitors make. They pay their nurses 100+ per hr

      they pay a lot, but the cost of living is crazy high. so it’s not like you’re actually making more money; you’re actually spending more money and therefore they have to give you more money. you’ll still be the same level of broke lol

      It depends on what area you live in California. In the area i saw nurses are buying teslas and bmws in cash.

      @@rjsmusicstudio4716 im in atlanta & i see that too 🤣sometimes theyre new grads with their associates. i really wonder how theyre doing that tbh. maybe taking out loans, or leasing instead of buying, maybe owing their sign on bonus. or maybe they still live at home or have roomates so their expenses arent too high....🤷‍♀

      @@fatherfemi7641well, Northern California they are making a lot more. It’s still expensive but not as much as south California. It might cost 30-50% more to live in California but the pay is 100%-200% more than some states..

    Do you have to be licensed to be in the New Grad program?

      Some will accept you if you haven’t taken the NCLEX/become licensed yet but you must take the test/become licensed within the time frame they give you or you will be unable to continue the program

    You tripping 1,811 biweekly that’s $3,622 a month honey for a college degree entry job that’s good. Get a minimum wage job and see if that pays ur bills and have a decent amount of money left for spending. I don’t understand when nurses say this especially new nurses girl you have no experience. We get paid equivalent to someone who has their masters at an entry level job.

      And with nursing you can always work overtime and bedside nursing is not the end of nursing. I work with nurses at my insurance company making 90k at home
