Everyone debating on Tarja versus Floor and I am here enjoying this amazing duet of two of the best singers on planet Earth. The funniest thing is that Floor and Tarja are good friends and even have sung live together. Thanks for the amazing video and mix my dude.

Both are beautiful women with more talent then most people.
It always comes back to Nightwish for me irrelevant who sings except maybe Annette, her voice just doesn’t do it for me.

Well... After watching full "Showtime, Storytime" I dare to say that Floor is the best Nightwish's singer EVER. She has SO MUCH POWER in her voice!
I love Floor and I think she did an amazing job on this song, as she does with the majority of Nightwish songs, but no one does Nemo like Tarja.

If I were a record producer looking to sign a band to a contract, it would be to NightWish with Floor, her stage presence and vocals are solid gold.

Floor is good, very good. She can sing all the notes and pitch without much struggle. There's great power and strength in her voice. She is also a great performer in Live. Can't wait till she hits the studio with Nightwish.
Tarja on the other hand, is still the number one for me. She don't just sing or perform like any other singer. She instead command and controls the audience which is very rare. Listening to her song takes you to a place where you have never been before...

Am I like the only one that notices with the combined bits of them, it sounds BEYOND divine!? Floor's power combined with Tarja's angelic chorus style? That blended voice I think is the true star here, not one vs the other.

I love both of them, but Floor's vocal range elevates the songs to a whole new level, if they re-recorded all of nightwishs songs i would buy that album in a heartbeat, there is a reason nightwish is still going and that is Floor Jansen
Since nobody is comparing these two singers I think I'll do it :) Floor is so much better. If you listen how relaxed Floor can keep her voice in this song, and for Tarja it's a bit forcing all the time. What an instrument she has!
Tarja just sings more like an opera singer. They are both great, just different.
They're singing with completely different techniques, so you can't really compare them.
As an old Nightwish fan I can't use to Floor's voice in these songs. Tarja's opera style voice was much pleasant to listen. Nightwish was a great rock band with opera leading voice, now just an ordinary good band, nothing special.
Just listen The phantom of the Opera by Floor, it's a little bit rude for me. Tarja was perfect in that song.
+Pizzonia But if you listen to Ghost Love Score with Floor you see that Tarja's original version is inadequate. We each hear differently and thus there is no "right". Tarja (except for one song) has always been nails on a chalkboard to me. Floor is amazing. My wife hates metal with a passion, but she loves Floors voice.
Dave Mason I do agree about Ghost Love Score, Floor suits much better and I think Floor can sing much more different types of songs. But songs like Nemo is the ones which sounds much better when Tarja sings and this kind of songs where the ones making Nightwish special. After Floor I am not even sure I prefer Nightwish or Delain.

both are amazing and have their own essence, in my opinion I love both Traja has a rough voice, while floor is a bit softer, that's how they complement
Nemo is a very simple, without complexity actually the vast majority of song lyrics Nightwish are not a challenge for Floor, I just saw Phantom of the Opera with Floor Jansen in Metal Christmas Symphony and she did very well.

For me Tarja is the queen but here I liked Floor's rythm and power. Their duets sometimes sound bad cause they are too much different but here I have to say that my favorite version of Nemo isn't Tarja's or Floor's but this duet where they are both great and complete each other perfectly ♥

This whole about songs being "marked" is COMPLETE BS. For YOU it Floor's version may sound like a cover, but for me it is exactly the OPPOSITE. But I heard Floor's version first, so FOR ME Tarja's version is the cover. (And Floor sounds much better anyway)
Floor kick ass in live performances!! Tarja is great, but Floor can reach all the senses with her voice, not only the ears, like Tarja performing alive, but Tarja is greater on studio records.
Everybody has his own opinion and taste. I don't see who kicks who, but I can tell that Tarja is a great live performer. It is obvious and clear that a studio record will always sound better than live scene records. So, I like Floor more than Anette, but Tarja is still and maybe forever will be the best!

Tarja is a godess on stage! I saw her in live two years ago. She has nothing to prove because she has such a presence on stage you don't imagine! For Floor I don't know I didn't see her on stage yet. For Anette I saw her and it was quite good but she is under Tarja and Floor.

tarja tiene una voz mas pastosa, es mas gustosa en términos de notas bajas ..lo que la hace tener mayor fuerza en su interpretación lo que no quiere decir que floor sea un vocalista en menos ..pero tarja no tiene par.... en su vocalización tiene su estilo y eso encanta yo me quedo por lejos con tarja..

I really like Floor. In some ways, I like her voice best. She is an incredible live singer with an amazing tone that hits the mark. But there is something about Tarja's voice as an instrument with this arrangement. It's like if you have symphony and you don't just want a violin, but this one particular violin that has this special tone. For Nightwish, it's Tarja. Most everybody feels that on an instinctive level. For some people, it is too much such that they basically prefer to listen to Tarja's renditions of songs. It's not fair at all to cut down the other vocalists, even Anette. It's an issue of who's tone sounds best for Nightwish. There are bands that Anette would sound better in than Tarja; bands that would not sound good at ALL with Tarja. Each singer is a unique instrument made unlike any other, sounding unlike any other...
I look at it like this, they're both amazing singers with different qualities and the mood I'm in determines which version I'll listen to at the time. Tarja has more of an ethereal quality to her singing. Beautiful, but sometimes it comes off as a bit cold and clinical. Floor on the other hand seems to sing NW songs with a kind of raw, earthy quality that seems to put more of an emotional punch to it, at least in my opinion. Anette's studio stuff with NW and her live performances of song that were written with her voice in mind are decent as well, but just not my thing.

Just my opinion, but this just shows Tarja is supreme. Not a "fanboy" at all. Hardly listen to much Nightwish. But this video in particular shows Tarja had the magic.

Tarja looks and sounds like a slightly tense guest singer for the night, Floor looks totally at home, the real face and voice of Nightwish finally come home to roost.
David Roupell It kinda helps although they are practically the same age Floor had been in a metal band long before Tarja had. She was used to long tours and big concerts, t.v appearances and interacting with fans. She also had a real passion for singing on stage and getting the crowd roaring. Tarja said it was quite a shock when she joined NW. She had been a singer for a while but she had done nothing like it before.
+David Roupell With Tarja Nightwish was just prelude to a solo career. With Anette it was a job to feed her family. Floor lives for metal and it shows on the faces of the band. They finally have a singer with the same priorities they have.
